  • Hahaha, I think your Nasa bound!!

  • What is the magnet for?

  • i lov the simplicity of the materials

  • rotekemp is rite add another weel to the top and even maybe a bearing aswell wud stablize it you mite get more rpm.allso it looks to be about 3 foot long if you cud build it 10 foot long it wud be the same as a bir horizontal one but wud take up less space, its a kicking idea and i wud lov to see ur results!

  • Thanks for your comments guys, we tried a slightly different design, totally eliminated the wobble, there's a couple new videos up of the design, please let us know what you think. As for sjh7132's question, yes I do believe in around 15 mph wind it could light at least one or two auto tail-lights, although it would be more prudent to use LEDs for a lighting solution. We are working on the mechanics of our new design yet, not much electronics yet, but we will keep the videos coming.

  • add another Bike wheel on the top to stabilize it =)

  • It looks promising, but I'd like to see some real power measurements. Will it bring an auto tail light to full brightness? two? three?

  • What magnets are you using?

  • use magnets to cushion the wobble but keep the work going ;)

  • Sweet!

  • nice work, looking forward for your next test.
