This was the first game that I bought on my first PC.

Also I too obtained Apache shortly there after.

As a simulation it's very addictive and very well made with low requirements.

i tried installing apache the other day on vista... wish it worked me and a buddy wanted to play.. he was going to gun for me.. great games.. remember the M1A1 demo that came with apache lol makes me miss good games like that

I have the full version of that iMagic M1A1 tank game.

I keep a couple of older PC's around to run those DOS and Win 9x games.This was before Microsoft switched from Safedisk (for Windows 95,98,ME,NT and 2000 Pro) to activation.

Now we have DRM crapped games sad.

WOW, classic game that started it all for me in PC helicopter sims in 1996. The landing was the toughest part of the game and you would blow up if you sneezed. But the game play, engine sounds, voices and handling are super. The most exciting mission was dropping the 'fuel air bomb' in a deep valley in Afghanistan while countless Mujahadeem are trying to hit you with RPG's.

Aw man! I still have this game after all these years!! Doing the missions on it were so fun, with the epic battles and bombing runs. Good times.

Also, you forgot to deploy your landing gear. A common factor that always happened to me whenever I did the missions. Now I have to find the CD and play it again!!

I love this! Apache was great, too.

Did you know DI released 3DFX patches for BOTH Apache and Hind? Alot of people missed that. I lost the patches ages ago, which sucks, because they would work great with a Glide Wrapper.

I have hind3dfx.zip but am missing the common_files.zip that is required to make the patch work. I know it's a REALLY long shot, but does anyone have it? I scoured the internet, but (no surprise) every link was dead. If anyone has it, PM me please! I'll trade M1TP2 for it.

I use microsoft sidewinder ffb2. All sidewinder sticks should work though.

There is a readme in the install folder with some keycommands (which came with the patch). For more keycommands check the link I posted above in the 1st comment.

The name is "HIND" made by "Interactive magic" nad was released 1996. Getting an used one at ebay or amazon is well worth the money (with the manual included). It runs with XP and compatibility mode.
