  • Let It Bleed was the first album i bought as a kid and Midnight Rambler is by and far the best song on this album!

  • There is NO video...Song is GREAT OF COURSE!!!

  • How can you not like this! Even rappers would drool to have written this bass line!! Go listen to your Lady Gaga! Even Lady Gaga listens this!! By the way, i wouldn't rule out banging Lady Gaga!! :-)

  • I've never heard studio version - but live from "get yer ya-ya's out" is much more better for me.

  • AWESOME SONG!!!100*

  • They're just straight up PURE good music. If anyone doesn't think so they're not really listening to the music.

  • i love the stones but everytime i see keith richards i think damn ive seen mummified corpses in better shape than that dude

  • @able506 Lets see what YoU would look like at Keith Richards age and MOST IMPORTANT, He is an ARTIST, plays Guitar like no ones business..writes mosT All the GooD Stones songs and too have done all this in past 45+ years..the drugs, is a "Blessing" He is "Alive".."LIFE"....the MAN IS "THE MAN": Mr. Keith Richards!

  • @gypsy505nm most people would probably look less decrepit. If you mean after doing what he's done, the answer would be that we would be dead. For every classic rock artist we would be dead, they've done more drugs than we could do and survive.

  • Everybody's got to go.

  • Absolutely the deepest darkest blues ever by BEST band ever!

  • Oh yeah!

  • the office:)

  • This has been my favorite Stones track since '89. I'm pleased Jones is on it.

  • @Kelly14UK - I'm glad Brian is on this version too. He wasn't on "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out." I was listening to both Keith and Mick talk about Brain recently. (I know it's recent cuz they both look like a pair of old saddlebags!) Amazing enough, Keef was kinder. He said Brian was a mess but Mick said he was a mean person, always pissing people off!

I really don't know what to make of Brian. There are so many conflicting opinions about him! He obviously had a lot of problems.

  • @IamStoneGrooved They say he was a very nice person if you KNEW him. He could be very mean to people, he pissed alot of people. He was not a natural nice guy. You had to knew him, and even if you knew him he wasn't the most pleasant guy on earth. And then all the alcohol and stuff. Sorry for my bad english, im 15 and dutch

  • @RockChannelEurope You did fine...and yes, Keith is not the easiest person to get along with....

  • I feel like I'm the only one who knows that this song is about the Boston Strangler >_>

  • @TheSwineFluPeanut

"Well, you heard about the Boston --- shh. Honey, it's not one of those"

  • this song rules

  • Wow! Talking about the "Midnight Rambler", that was the car that had the "Fold Down" front seat. The only car that was in direct competition with the No tell Motel!

  • 10 people only made it until noon....

  • 10 people need a knife shoved right down their throats and it hurts.

  • rock the stones!

  • ..then a midnight rambler among the cookery world

  • that cake on the album art was made by Delia Smith ¦D

  • Let it Bleed is one of the best, most classic, most influencial albums in rock n roll of all time. The Stones really kill it in this song!

  • 10 people never heard of the midnight rambler.

  • @StaticBinary there are very little of us

  • I came here by accidently putting "Midnight Rambler" instead of "Midnight Rider" in the search box, and came here instead of correcting my mistake because I thought it was fate.

  • very hard

  • I just like the cake :)

  • what would the stones sound like if keith never did heroin? i'm a bit curious of your thoughts. 9 people not included.

  • Epic

  • mis respetos para los stones increible cancion

  • The Office brought me here

  • @Liscome specifically it was Kevin and the Zits

  • that is an awesome melody

  • Maroon Five has NO IDEA! how to rock out like Jagger!

  • @Majik2oo Maroon Five is weaker than Keith Richards without drugs.

  • @Majik2oo you got that right

  • @Majik2oo they have no idea about music either..

  • Best Trip Ever!

  • VIVAN LOS STONES

    we love you from argentina

  • Greatest Stones album, I reckon. Keith's greatest moment. Still the fuckin greatest band that ever was.

  • this jam is sweeter than any piece of turntable cake

  • Comment removed

  • 'shoot-em-dead brainbell jangler' - genius. You'd be hard pressed to find a more succinct summary of the sociopath in any psychology manual. Shit, they were brilliant. Many thanks for this.

  • This is so cool I can't believe it.

  • Still the best of the Stones!!!!!!

  • had rolled gold on 8 track dont know how many times it went round

  • My absolute favorite Stones song (ie: ode to The Boston Stangler/Midnight Rambler)..until recently ..I worried about Mick gettin' through it when it came up on the set lists

on the last three tours..it's tough on an old guy.

  • I got this album in '68 when I barely knew about the Stones - liked Monkey Man and Midnight Rambler then. How my appreciation of this album has changed over the years - so many classic Stones hits in one place! WOW!

  • @evkristoff dude they made this album in '69 so no u didn't get it in '68 haha 69 ;)

  • what the check is that, its not the song from let it bleed album?

  • this song is the best catharsis for when angry at a girl - no violence necessary; "i stick my knife right down your throat, baby, and it hurts" is all i need to hear and i'm calm again lol

  • mary i was there

  • I fucking love the rolling stones, lets be the beatles except more american i.e. violent, sexy, drugged up, depressed, and abusive. These guys truly defined what it meant to be a Rock n' Roll band!!!!!

  • The greatest rock in roll band in the whole entire world. THE ROLLING STONES.

  • like only a couple dozen albums, not a bad note on it.

  • heard this, as well as the rest of this side of the album, on WWUH (91.3, college station out of Hartford, Ct.) today. Staying power. Let's see wassup with Bieber and Gaga in 40 years.... Remembering back to the days of nothing but vinyl.

  • everyone should buy a turntable

  • @PuffSmelly Been thinking of getting one. But Its hard to get those records. I mean, even now I can't find any cassettes for AC/DC, Led, The Rolling Stones, pretty much all the rock/metal bands.

  • @ANDROID454545416 go to this called cd universe all vinyls you could think of

  • Comment removed

  • @PuffSmelly Im 15, its on my christmas list :)

  • @PuffSmelly I bought Rolled Gold on vinyl and this came on, you can't beat the Stones on record can you?

  • @PuffSmelly and a guitar plus amp

  • @PuffSmelly I still buy vinyl just to own certain songs. I don't even HAVE a record player lol

  • Way better times then now. The music was better, people grouped together against this shite worldwide goverment. Now it's just normal to let you get fucked by the system or something, never knew who gave the thumbs up for that. Either stupidity, ignorence or cowards.

  • @pyromaniaknl Dude quit fucking moping. If you don't like what's going on in your times then do something about it you stupid fucking lazy american.

  • @TheCnut69 I'm no American u peace of shit, i'm just saying. Fuck off if u don't agree.

  • @pyromaniaknl You are an arrogant piece of shit. Where are you from, Europe? Greece? People are standing up across the world. We are entering a new socio/political era and if you can't see that, you are obviously under educated. Not your fault. Probably the falt upon your gap tooth parents' for not educating you properly. Read a book here and there, get off youtube, make some music, become something instead of a loser.

  • @pyromaniaknl Don't bother me i'm just talking shit alot off timesI don't even know why. NEver really had the intention to u know i'm willing to aggree but be realistic@! no BS fuck it sand over it we say

  • @pyromaniaknl - Got THAT right!!!

  • GIVE YOU'RE DOG A BONE.

  • @davejthomson SHES USING HER HEAD AGAIN!

  • @davejthomson

    your* ;)

  • @maryspinker Nothing quite tops the sound from the grooves of a vinyl. This vinyl is sex in the air.

  • one of my favourite albums of all time pure magic!!!!

  • Why dont you 3RD world monkeys attempt to speak english. After all, it is a white mans world. If you want to get along, you had better go along.

  • Outstanding. and still grabs you at the throat after 30 years.Immortal!

  • Outstanding.

  • Six thumbs down to date....well, we know who "they" are ;-) I can say that I've had the pleasure in seeing the Stones twice live before. LEGENDARY!!!!

  • "VAGABUNDOS DE MEDIA NOCHE" de colonia reforma cd.neza. hay alguien k conoce a esta banda?

  • love drivin the highway at night with this tune jacked up!!!!! gotta love it!!!

  • What a absolute wicked song. From the guitars and harp to Mick's performance it doesn't get any better then this. And the best ending of any song ever. " I'll stick my knife right down your throat

    Baby, and it hurts!

  • ich hab das album neu bekommen <3

für meine 15 jahre eine große erungenschafft!:D

  • @germanrocker86

Yeah ! You got it right!

  • @kc2dtp always new albums from stones are a winning from the beginning!:D

now i got 3 and every other will come to me sooner or later ;)

  • Grossartig

  • This is the most evil that has ever been put down in 6 minutes, 53 seconds! It blows the doors off of any of the "live" versions I've heard.

  • i had this album in 8th grade 1968,and didnt like midnite rambler at first, until two years later when yayas came out, then it made me appreciate this song even more,in studio version, even tho live version, was at the time, probalby the best rock song of alltime..haha you younger guys missed akl the good times..a few yrs earlier we chased eric clapton and the yardbirds when they landed in our small town airport and made a fast getaway but we were on their ass for about 40 miles til they lost us...

  • The Stones sure made some amazing music didn't they? Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street, Some Girls... Jeeez... sometimes I forget how unbelievable they used to be. Perhaps the greatest Rock band of all time.

  • @espdemon they are the greatest :D respect to the beatles aswell, they are both on the same line :D

  • @espdemon Only Maybe .. when Mick Taylor was with the Stones, they were good (69-74) . Before and after, total crap.

  • Please you should have grown up with it!

  • I still have my Let IT Bleed Lp.. its so scratched.. but each scratch is a memory.. that the beauty of it.. And yes I used to party all week-end int he sixties and this Lp stayed on turntable.. ANd we drank and partierd till we couldnt rock anymore... Love the stones.. THey are one of the most significant bands in the soundtrack of my life... Long live the Stones... ive seen them so many times in 69.. Mick sang this song as he was crawling across the stage slapping his hobnail belt on floor.

  • ANOTHER GREAT ONE FOR THE LIVE CONCERT , JAGGER AND CO. JUST ROCK'S OUT ON THIS LIVE AS WELL ON THE ALBUM . ( STICK UR KNIVF RIGHT DOWN UR THROAT , AND IT HURTS!! WOW !!!

  • @PONYBOY430 Who are you talking to man?

  • Back in the '60's the Beatles were for Sunday Afternoons, THe STones were for the Party....

  • @Gwhitebeard I don't reallt think so. The Beatles weer the one who played more dancing music.

  • @Huisihuilke stones are better

  • @JordanEvans3794 I don't really think so, but i didn't say Beatles were better anyway.

  • This song is like fine wine, it may grow old... but it still sounds good.

  • I think Mick mumbles " maybe we should get the hell's angels to do security at that Altamont gig ".

  • did MIck play the harmonica on this?

  • This was the last Stones song with Brian Jones listed on the credits.

  • @TheForgottenFlesh I know, eh? Except "Night Prowler" doesn't talk about a killer, "It's about a boy sneeking into his girlfriend's room to have sex, while the parents are asleep." but the lyrics "You don't feel the steel, Until it's hangin' out your back" suggests murder.

  • The rolling stones are the GREATEST ROCK BAND OF ALLTIME, now with that said. The greatest BLACK rock band...........are WHO ELSE? -the rolling stones.....DON'T DO DAT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • " The Kings "

  • Definitely my favorite song from the Stones. Let it Bleed is the first album I heard, and stays my best

  • Dont cha do that!!!!!! No Dont Do that

  • This song inspired AC/DC's Night Prowler.

"The dark imagery of 'Night Prowler' embodies slow-drag blues, much like the Rolling Stones' 'Midnight Rambler,' but in a much heavier, odly humerous manner."

  • @acdcguy18 Ironic isn't it. It was about Albert DeSalvo The Boston Strangler. Hence "Did you hear about the Boston..."

AC/DC inspired The Night Stalker Richard Rameriez.

  • I hope I never get too old for this one.

  • "That was done on a full-bodied, Australian electric-acoustic, f-hole guitar. It kind of looked like an Australian copy of the Gibson model that Chuck Berry used. I played it on Gimme Shelter too... It had all been revarnished and painted out, but it sounded great. It made a great record... (I got it)from some guy who stayed at my pad. He crashed out for a couple of days and suddenly left in a hurry, leaving that guitar behind. You know, Take care of this for me. I certainly did!"-Keith Richards

  • @jayhooU2 Is that from his autobiography?

  • @RocketThrower i think its from an interview which I have.

  • Comment removed

  • @RocketThrower not sure , I located the quote online.

  • Though the Ya-ya's live version of Midnight Rambler is unbeatable, I still like this version very much. First class bluesy and spooky Stones song.

  • @maryspinker soo cool i wish i was right there with ya

  • thumbs up if keith richards sent you here

  • Wow. listened to this when it was NEW. ON A TURNTABLE. GETTING BAKED. HAD TO BE THERE. Music MEANT something then. oh, yeah, there was this NEW band out about then called LED ZEPPLIN.

  • @maryspinker You spelled Led zeppelin wrong, you old fuck.

  • @KurtCantrell bahahaha i was thinkin that thank you

  • @KurtCantrell You did too. Led Zep is always with capitals.

  • @maryspinker you spelled Zeppelin wrong -_-

  • @maryspinker guess what its 40 years later, and this still happens. i listened to this album for the first time on vinyl while getting baked. New music come and goes, but the classics never change. and hopefully one day soon Zeppelin will realize the need to reunite before they all die.

  • @maryspinker i still get baked and listen

  • Altamount "Rambler" ---that may be the greatest rock recording evah

  • even Keith said no one else could sing this song but Mick

  • This song was inspired by a serial killer by the name of Albert DeSalvo and almost mentions him within the lyrics. Those lyrics may be simple, but they send a striking message if you pay attention to them close enough. That's the miracle of music, and the magic of Rolling Stones. Wonderous. (:

  • @XXunansweredvoiceXX

well put my friend. I hear ya.

  • @XXunansweredvoiceXX

Well put friend. I hear ya. The older I get [39], I hear Keith's playing style as probably the most valuable of his time to present. It's a real treat to hear their music even today... some 43 years later. Good Rock & Roll to be sure.

  • @7883wendy there is 60 seconds in a minute

  • We're covering this one. I'm the harp player. With some delay on the harp, it's turning out to be V e r y close to this version - 2:90? - well hold everything! I'm not sure what you're on but there's no 2:90 and if there were, it would be 3:30 minutes; 2 plus 90 seconds is 1 & 1/2 min. 60 secs + 30 = 90 so 2 min. + 1.5 = 3 & 30 sec, sooooooooooooo what is it you wanted to know????

  • Agreed. This is one kick ass song.

  • 真夜中はこれに決まり!! STONES、、、MIDNIGHT RAMBLER~~ゲット・ヤー・ヤーのライヴもイカしまくる!

  • I played this song to my friend who loves The Rolling Stones but I didn't tell him who it was by. He said he hated it but as soon as I told him who it was by, this has been his favorite song ever since.

  • @froandabanjo hahahahahaha

  • @froandabanjo How can you love The Rolling Stones and not recognize the song/Mick's voice ?

  • @luckysilviano Thats what I was puzzled about too:)

  • Most wicked ending to a song ever. " I'll stick my knife right down your throat baby and it hurts!!"

  • "BAGABUNDO DE MEDIA NOCHE" great song!!!!chanclas/pescado/nene/peluquin/chaparro/patachin y demas banda de la col reforma en cd.NEZA

  • Cockney? No mate. Shropshire lad weren't he? I fought 'e grew up in Wolverampton or some such out the way hole. Great band but. Great songwriter.

  • exile on main street has that sound ,i actually like the the stones evolution up to emotional rescue...after that is retread except a few tunes

  • Loved the slide. Favourite Stones track.

  • fuck. yes.

  • Superior Blues

  • One person "did that".

  • Gotta love Keith Richard on overdubbed slide guitar.

  • @jayhooU2 okay then :)

  • my fave stones lp ! I hope I last as long as Keith

  • This is supposed to be about the Boston Strangler

  • This is Brian's. Hot Rocks is Taylor's. I'm sure.

Anyway, this is my favorite Stones track.

  • @Noodles37UK The general consensus is Beggars Banquet..(Sympathy..) is all Keef since Brian was in no shape to play whatin my mind was one of the greatest albums of all time..

  • @crazycatlady68 Beggars has an authentic and original sound. Shame they got all sanitised in the next decade. Agreed. Jigsaw Puzzle's incredible.

  • yea its "Don't you do that"
