I think what's most interesting is that he manages to make "good" judoka and BJJ players look silly with basic techniques from the the other side. This is what Judo is supposed to look like, grappling from ANY position. The IJF went too far with the aesthetics of standing, now reflected in the rules. The average BJJ school doesn't do enough standing, so they have a position where they're easy to sweep. BJJ teaches you to work every position- it's surprising that there's that huge deficit.
@ColumbiaUniJudo What you say if very true; however, keep in mind that Judo is a sport. If it's going to be used for self-defense or MMA, then, obviously, there will be some techniques that you would not want to use. It's the same with BJJ - you will see very different training in schools who are primarily self-defense oriented vs. BJJ schools that are heavily competition oriented.
@thekoda In this video, BJ looks to be about 150 (maybe lighter). In his fight with with Machida, he weighed in at 191 lbs (that's 41 lbs gain)....Ya, I'm SURE he's never dabled in roids....
Dam man, you should do some ufc and mma... I hold belts in 4 differnt styles and I can see some serious skill and pulling locks up fast and perfect... Good job buddy..
I cant begin to tell you what a great person Coach Dan is. He, in my opinion is the best coach I've ever had. I wrestled in high school and a season in Jr college along with trained Jitz and Mauy thai at other schools. Dan as a coach and person stands alone.

Dan is a Freak. He's my Ju Jitsu coach and one of the Raddest dudesever. He caring coach that pushes you to better your game.. He has a great system and high level students to roll with.
I have Guerilla jiu jitsu and let me just say that the book vastlly improved my game, im no longer scared to throw some one becuase i might lose position and i no longer start sitting in a match, i invite stand up now , and its fun as hell !
according to the book Guerilla Jiu*Jitsu. He and his brother, David Camarillo, were actually aiming on competing in the olympics but opted to focus on their Jiu Jitsu instead.
I had the opportunity to train with the Camarillo brothers and they truly are fantastic all around with the stand up jujitsu and ground. Fantastic demo and video.

Nice mullet transition. Interesting to see BJ before the bloated roid look--nice (what a hypocrite BJ is for calling out others for roid use....)
Love Dan's flow.
