Hey MoberbNixon I once worked with someone who had his identity stolen by an illegal. He was in high school when it happened. It messed up his credit and drivers license situation. He is still trying to fix the problems from identity theft. He said they caught the guy and was a confirmed illegal. Who not only stole his Social security number but several other peoples as well. He probably got deported and is back here doing the same thing all over again. Isn't it nice to know?

So she used a fake SS# for employment purposes. This means taxes came out of her paychecks. She contributed to benefits that she could never be eligible to claim, but that YOU and I use. If it was someone else's SS# they got some credit toward their SS# fund.

That's just it, tellusmore, no harm was done in this case. Admit it.. She didn't run off with someone's identity and ruin anyone's credit or "moral importance". She worked and contributed to the economy. Taxes came out of her check. She's not going to get SS income when she retires, nor is she going to get a tax return. On the other hand, if it was someone else's SS# she paid into their benefits.
