the iphone is blacker, the itouch is bluer, that's it, and if u tilt them, the iphone is clearer, but thumbs up for the itouch though, its like and iphone without a phone!

You can't compare the boot times between the iPhone and iPod Touch. The iPhone has to initialize the base band for the cell phone system. The iPod Touch doesn't have to do this.

A better speed test is to have two factory restored units and then run the same app on both. Otherwise, it's not a valid test.

Maybe were watching different videos, but overall I would say the iPod was faster. Also RAM stands for random access memory. It doesn't make the iPhone faster, it allows it to cache more stuff before deleting it (that's why the iPhone can have more tabs open before reloading).

WTF? In the maps application the iPod finished much faster than the iPhone, and it was using the satellite option. Also for the speed tests they both won 2 yet you say the iPhone had a marginal speed difference. Maybe were watt

I think the iPod loads web pages first in some cases because of it having less apps and processes using the processor. The iPhone 4 loads content-filled web pages faster, since it is when loading those pages that the iPod is restricted by its RAM.

@ElSpookay Actually I think its because of something else. I personally don't think more RAM helps make a NOTICEABLE Difference while running Safari only... So that is why the iPhone is not faster. The reason the iPod is faster is because in the previous generation iPods and iPhones, the iPhone got the premium design, camera, more RAM, but the iPod Touch got the faster clocked processor and more room for storage. And faster processor means faster speeds, like in the iPod Touch :)...

well the display is better on the iphone but if you don't see them next to each other the ipod display still will look great
