All the SF personnel Ive talked to said Seals were tough as nails (including Force Recon) If there was as "vs" situation going on i would be Army SF vs Marines and Marine SF every marine SF or regular claims theyre better and all the SF army claim theyre better. everyone says seals are the best. I personally am going USMC and not MARSOC. if i wanted SF i would go army just bec it has a larger selection so i could really personalize what i want to do, but before that it would be USMC

I didn't read all of the comments so I'm sure I'm just going to end up repeating someone, but SOCOM in general is the best of the best. That's it, they all respect each other and do their job like professionals, your biast video is abject in proofing Marine Force Recon (who I respect) is in the least bit more qualified, or prestige than Navy Seals or any other branch of SOCOM.
Honestly I dont see why people fight over which SpecOps unit is the best when the men who are actually in these groups dont argue whos the best, plus the U.S.'s best reaction force Task Force 145 is made up of all these guys, DEVGRU, MARSOC, SFOD-D, and other SpecOps groups. Plus each group has its own unique specialty.

@royalmarine84 Could not have said better myself. Each force is envisioned to take on a role with specific assignments in mind and are structured, trained, and equiped for these. They are also trained to integrate with larger forces. It is this stupid discussion on who is better that gets these units assigned to missions they are not designed or equiped for and thus puts the mission in trouble from the start. @seancul55 You don't know what you are talking stating things you obviously read out of books I have working at CJSOTF the Rangers and the SEAL's are closer to be equivelants than us. The GB's have no equivelants if anyone it is the CIA Ground Branch and the MARSOC is attempting to do UW. SEALs have First Phase/Hell Week, GBs SFAS, Rangers RASP, PJs Indoc. Let them decide; don't spread libel on the internet that destroys my chances at a clearance, and thus ruins my chances. You're right, DEVGRU does NOT pull security of Rangers, Rangers are the blocking force for DEVGRU typically. They were shot down after having come to the aid of the Rangers, and were on their way out. I think Rangers would see SEALs as brothers, not hold any animosity towards them. ESPECIALLY considering how often SEALs have aided the Rangers, and vice versa.

@seancul55 Did you know that the SEAL's for the longest time have not been aloud to conduct phase 3 BUD's without Ranger Q-d SF guys there as SME's. Did you know that it was GB's who trained SEAL's in ground tactics in the 60's. The Marine Corps 1st Force Recon refused to train SEAL's as the Commandant agreed he didn't want to Navy tainting his beloved Corps. Why are the SEALs tactically inadequate because you can't train in months what infantry men who feeds SF takes years to master INFANTRY.

The SEAL LNO told us that the SEAL's have started to admit how far behind the curve they are tactically. The SEAL's have been studying the Q-course to figure out how we continue to produce higher quality tactically sound Green Berets even with lowering standards.

@DevilFrog0915 SEALs do have one series: the SOCOM series, but that's a PS only series and a very much overlooked series. Look up MACV SOG: it was a special division set up by the CIA comprised of Green Berets, SEALs, and PJs. However, Woods and Mason were Army SF (Green Berets). This is easy to tell because of their ranks (Sergeant and Captain), and the fact that they weren't PJs rescuing downed pilots. Thus, they can't be Navy or AF: must be Army. All the SF personnel Ive talked to said Seals were tough as nails (including Force Recon) If there was as "vs" situation going on i would be Army SF vs Marines and Marine SF every marine SF or regular claims theyre better and all the SF army claim theyre better. everyone says seals are the best. Did you know that it was GB's who trained SEAL's in ground tactics in the 60's. The Marine Corps 1st Force Recon refused to train SEAL's as the Commandant agreed he didn't want to Navy tainting his beloved Corps. Why are the SEALs tactically inadequate because you can't train in months what infantry men who feeds SF takes years to master INFANTRY.

The SEAL LNO told us that the SEAL's have started to admit how far behind the curve they are tactically. The SEAL's have been studying the Q-course to figure out how we continue to produce higher quality tactically sound Green Berets even with lowering standards.

@DevilFrog0915 SEALs do have one series: the SOCOM series, but that's a PS only series and a very much overlooked series. Look up MACV SOG: it was a special division set up by the CIA comprised of Green Berets, SEALs, and PJs. However, Woods and Mason were Army SF (Green Berets). This is easy to tell because of their ranks (Sergeant and Captain), and the fact that they weren't PJs rescuing downed pilots. Thus, they can't be Navy or AF: must be Army. Well OK stupid when I was an instructor there were classes in SFAS that started with 300+ and had less than 60 selected does that sound like 60%? 60% of lets say 300 would be 180 or 140 being selected and yes it is part of the pipeline. I was a phase 2 instructor which usually had a 40-50% attrition the B.S. you read is wrong.
