  • why buy a car when you can taxi to the store in a plane

  • Awesome video man!

  • What about overhauls and insurance costs?

  • Comment removed

  • nice buy

  • Todd, I am finishing my license after being layed up after a bad auto accident. Any chance to pick your brain in relation to a good first (and hopefully last) airplane purchase. I have always had a place for low-wing aircraft like yours. Thanks, gdburridge@yahoo.com

  • Todd, Thanks for the info...Started lessons but had toput on hold after bad traffic accident (drunk driver). Looking to finish my license and purchase a starter aircraft like the Piper Warrior 2 (Love low-wing). Great job for getting the juces flowing again. Any way to ask some questions directly ?

    Thanks Gregory (gdburridge@yahoo.com)

  • I'm starting to train for PPL. I'm contemplating whether to go Cessna 172, or the Piper Warrior. Anyone have any suggestions.

  • Nice Video BUT please don't compare an SUV to an airplane. I owned 2 planes over a 6 year period, Piper Archer and a Cherokee 6/ 300 and the cost of insurance, use and up keep cost on average of $100.00- $150.00 per hour to own.. One year I had to replace an engine for 15,000. Aviation is very expensive, the annual inspection for a Warrior if there is nothing wrong will run 1500.00 and I have seen them go as high as 5000.00-10,000.

  • save a horse, build an RV

  • Dude, make some new videos!

  • $29,500 an aircraft. This is how I can figure out, besides your accent and the aircraft reg number you're living in USA...

  • What year is that piper?

  • It's best not to associate money with aviation. If it makes you happy then do it.

  • $350.00 a month!! That's almost 4 months rent for me! Crazy!

  • nice :)

  • could you add stereo recording for your episodes? You only come out the left channel.

    I enjoy the info. Thanks

  • @ThunderDonkey look above your comment if you havent seen it already

  • Hey great video,

  • Good job Todd. See you out at KARR. I'm based at Skyhaven.

  • awesome vid. I am prospective Student pilot

  • nice :) subscribed.

suggestion: fix the sound. its panned to the left..

  • Thank you! There are a lot of kinks to work out. In this first video, we learned that we must push the mic connector all the way into the camera. Half way just doesn't cut it.

  • hehe.

question: could you explain what Squawk is?

I'm interested in Air Traffic Control & I play Flight Unlimited III (yeah.. old game) and I hear it alot when takeoff is approved.

  • ThunderDonkey -

"Squawk" is a term used in regard to an instrument on board the aircraft called a transponder. We set a 4 digit code on the transponder that provides critical information to air traffic control. Information such as aircraft number, altitude, airspeed, etc are processed and displayed on the radar for the controller.

  • yeah I found out :P

when I've taken off and I'm handled by a other ATC controlling a larger area she says my squawk and if I fill it in she/he says 'radar contact'.

trying to learn about ILS but can't intercept it. xD
