Great pics. Very cool geography/geology. Snow capped peaks, blue lakes, and arid plains all in one shot. Did you drive all the way to Christchurch?

I started out flying to the Chathams then back to Christchurch then drove down to invercargil then back to christchurch...every corner you turned there was a photo to take...the arid mountains are in Queenstone,..very cold ty for commenting

I had a fantastic time...it's a crayfishing island so we had crayfish/lobster breakfast, dinner and tea...and the egg in the pan is a swan egg...there are millions of black swans on the island...I learnt at a young age to live without my family so it's not so bad but I must say I had a ball seeing them all again...

LOL she lives on the Chatham Islands which is a tiny little island on the other side of New Zealand...it's the e most beautiful place, the beachs are pristine and the water is this deep deap blue green and clear as clear.
