  • I need a tutorial "How to undress Yukata & Kimono in 2 minutes". Can u help me? :D

  • *first time, whoops :P

  • Thank you so much for this. About 1½ year ago, my first yukata arrived and I saw this tutorial for the forst time. I didn't know anything about wearing kimono, yukata or obi. This tutorial is so clear, easy to follow and helpuf! I've been doing kitsuke since that day, and now I own 3 yukatas, over 10 kimonos and even more obi. Most of them are from Ichiroya, and I ordered more stuff from them 2 days ago! I think, that their website is the best place to buy anything kitsuke related.

  • @Galaksi21 hello what website do you order from and how do you go about doing it?

  • Where's Part 3? Or does it really stop abruptly like that?

  • @aishiteruarashi They are selling the full DVD.

  • How many times a woman has to tie herself while wearing this?! Lol

  • Whenever they say obi I think of Obi-Wan Kenobi XD

  • I'm so grateful I found this before Halloween because my husband brought me back a yukata from Japan back on his mission :) Now I know what to wear and how to properly dress up. Where do I find how to do the make up now??

  • @hottexan09 i found this, not sure if the makeup is correct but worth a try i guess.

  • @manhidnatao ive always wanted to try it too..

  • I've always wanted to wear a yukata, and go to summer festivals.. ahhh, makes me wish that im japanese instead -_-

  • Now, i wanna learn a geisha make up tutorial :)) haha!

  • Oh! Thats all? :)

  • thank u for sharing :) very well tutorial :)

  • Brilliant!! - thanks for the tutorial :)

  • lol that how i do wen i go to a spring festival or anyother festivals well spring festivals r my fave lol

  • is it the same for male yukatas or its......easier? lol

  • I love this tutorial! :D

  • My dad bought a kimono/yukata for me from japan. It only has the yukata and the obi. -.-'

  • @AyeshaRaees xD

  • When I tie my obi my "ending piece" is about four feet long. Is that normal??

  • I have a kimono since January, its such a pain how to wear it back then now I can wear it easier! :D

  • I wonder how I'd look dressed in a kimono :D

  • wheres part 3??? :O

  • @lordtains Honestly, that's about it. Once you move the bow to your back, you're done. There's not much else you need to do other than put your geta on and go.

  • i cannot tie obi

  • I feel like putting mine on now~!

  • where is the final part? :( this video is fantastic, I would love to see the end.

    どうもありがとう ^_^

  • complicated! what if you need to pee? is there also a trick to sliding the yukata when you have to use the toilet?

  • @whibru179 Not really. Simply roll the skirt up, and go. Pull it upward, whatever. Don't really pull it apart. It's not that hard.

  • Very helpful :)

  • beautifull yukata ^^

  • Very helpful video. I recently bought a kimono and obi sash from Ichiroya. Both are incredibly beautiful and I am so happy with the quality.

  • Thanks for posting this! I am getting a yukata soon, and this will be useful for when I get it!

  • i never knew you had to put so much work in to puting on a kimono im going to have to watch this next time i need to wear one becuse last time i tryed it on my own it was a complete disaster thanks for the tutorial =^.^= nyo!

  • wow, a lot more complicated than i thought, but thanks for the help :)

  • Where can I buy yukata and kimono in Toronto, Canada??

  • thats sooo beautifl i want one T-T

  • it's like a gift packing O_o

  • muito bom! eu nao conseguia fazer o laco do obi, e agora ja consigo!

  • thank you so much!! and **left over rice** 覚えやすいです! どうもありがとうございます! :D

  • thank you so much for posting this wonderful tutorial! thanks to you I'll be able to wear the traditional yukata for Bon Odori tomorrow!

  • Just great ! As others saidalready: it's really an art to get dressed in a kimono.

  • Absolutley awesome!

I think this is the best tutorial, to teach how to wear a yukata.

Other tut's are to complicated. So this one is the only one, which tought me to do it right!

  • That lady looks like she wants to say "Fuck my life." LOL She looks kind of sad.

  • Too cool!

My mom bought & my sibs kimonos when we went to Disney World Epcot. It only had one tie that came with it though. I saw an extra obi and a pair of getas there too, but the kimono itself was alredy so pricy, we decided not to get those.

  • I just bought a kimono and obi in Kyoto for 60AUD. The fabric is nice and is lined. There are kimono with spectacular fabric in the department stores and they are a few hundred. The ones I've see worn around on the street in Kyoto look to be a similar fabric quality to the one I purchased.

  • can you wear a yukata at church?

  • This video has so helpful! You should enter your video in this contest, Ewisdomtv

  • HeHe i made my yukata and obi myself. I love it =]

Thank god i was motivated to do it because of a senior project for school i had to do lol

  • Amazing how they do that with a simple piece of fabric!

  • did you know that you can buy the obi that can just be zipped on?the tye which you can put on with lesser effort so it will be easier

  • @hayamayue

you can but it will not look as traditional or elegant in Japanese society.

  • does anyone how much yukatas coast in canada ?????plz i need help :)

  • this helped so much thanks

  • This is so nice of them to put this on youtube! I wouldn't have known how to wear one otherwise!

If I buy one, I hope I can find my friend Yume who is Japanese so that she can help me learn how to wear one.

Apparently she works in a nearby 'Japan Town around here.

  • so,a yukata is a summer outfit n a kimono is a winter outfit?

  • ...I dident know that it would be this hard to get dressed in a yukata.... but is there anyone who knows where I can get all the parts?

  • @Angelfann22 This is a traditonal yukata. You can buy a modern yukata which is easier to wear. I don't know if the whole set will be there (for tradional) but ichiroya [dot] com sells them. For a more modern yukata or kimono you can buy from kimono-yukata-market [dot] com. They sell the whole set for about $180 more or less depending on what type you get. This includes the kimono, obi genta koshihimo set, tabi, and nagajuban in the price. They too have a vid showing you how to wear the yukata.

  • Thank you thank you thank you! I'm going to order one right away!

  • i rly need a TRAINED japanese woman just to do the belts.O_O

  • suicune65: E-bay XD Or Rinkya or M-bok. You can get them for inexpensive, but you still have to get everything to wear with it.

  • whoa! so complicated! but its really neat and cute, i hope i can try one on one day

  • this is so awsome.does anyone know where i can find yukata's?cheap ones if possible.please dont mark this as spam or anything i just want to know okay.

  • love it i wana try one

  • I never thought how cold it is in Japan LOl

  • Love this ! I wonder how long the tutorial will be for winter kimono. Also they shouldnt cook while wearing this, i dont wanna imagine what happen if the kimono sets fire ;-( .

  • Very nicer tutorial. Just a shame the music, however beautiful, is so loud. It overpowers the comments from the tutor at times.

  • haha im sure this is for summer! XD

  • hehe. The girl Looks so pouty, how Cute.

  • nice tutorial. but i wouldnt wear those patterns and those colors... not my style

  • awsome!but the girl looks like if she was forced to do this XD

  • This is an art...!!!! O_O

    This tutorial is amazing!!!!

  • Kawai

  • Verry simple thanks!0_o HE HE

  • PRETTY TNX FOR UPLOADING,..J

    有很多的提供!

  • Now, that looks much simpler than all the tutorials I've ever seen :) Now I can try to wear my yukata!

  • ..That looks hard. o_O

It probably gets easier, but still.

My dreams of wearing a kimono are now over, thanks to my impatience.. XD

  • Haha, it took me a long time to get that right too.

  • Don't worry! If an intellectual mule like me could do it, it'll be easy for You! Practice makes perfect!

  • how long was the obi?

  • gawd... I really wish I knew how to do that... but there is just no way I would be able to get that right XD the result is awesome by the way

  • Wow, I've seen a lot of tutorials on wearing yukata, but this may be the best I've seen! It's very detailed and clear. There were good tips on making it look neat. Thank you!!

  • thank you so much!!! now i'll do it right!!

  • Thanks! Im going to a halloween show and I wanted to wear my yukata. I was worried i wouldn't be able to find how to tie it! :) thanks.

  • i can't believe she did all that by herself!

i wish you had the rest of it~

  • this is so useful!I'm going to a fireworks festival tonight and will be using this video to help me.Thank you!

  • wait in the previous video it was said the left gors over right. so right first then left?

  • yes thats rigt...i mean correct.... i read on another website that right over left is only used to wrap a corpse for burial! XD that would be sooo funny for a HEEUGE mistake! XD

  • I'm trying to go as a geisha for Halloween, but I want it to be real, not from, like, Wal-Mart.

  • wal-mart, spencers...any of those places obviously won't have real geisha/kimono items. but i know what you mean.
