  • Let this movie be directed by the spliced up reanimated corpse of Stanley Kubrick.

  • the movie should be made by martin scorsese

  • I wouldnt mind seeing a movie if it was good but video game movies are bottom of the barrel, low IQ drivel. However they dont have to be, but always are, no one ever gets atmosphere right, or takes casting serious. It would not only take a talented director, but a gifted director, and someone who doesnt go by past records of what made money, but by what would deliverer. Alice from Resident Evil drop kicking a Big Daddy will not cover it.

  • @TheHorrorAnthem Did you ever see the movie Silent Hill? I must admit I never played the game but I loved the movie. The actors were great and the special effects were stunning.

  • @GodzillaLawlzorz Alright man since you havent played the game I will be really nice, but you have stumbled upon possibly the biggest Silent Hill fan you will ever come across. Granted the movie looks nice, the visuals were its best aspect, however anthology wise the movie was bad. It wasnt an accurate movie, but from a horror film prospective it wasnt drivel. I highly recommend the games to you, check out the upcoming HD series and it will blow the movie away.

  • @TheHorrorAnthem Alright, I'll keep an eye out for that. Thanks man.

  • Every ost from this game is just a delight, i'm getting goose-flesh from everyone of them! this game is such a masterpiece of art...cinematographic industry and especially hollywood, they are pathetic, they've the biggest budget to provide artistic or creative talent in the whole world and look at all the shallow and half done works shits they'r releasing !

  • Definitly inspired by: watch?feature=fvwp&NR=1&v=qDQpZT3GhDg

  • So at seaworld in Orlando there's this giant tube you can past through and see sharks swimming around. This song started playing in my head when I went through, It was epic.

  • David Fincher please, he can do it.

  • @xesredum1 youre so fuckin right

  • Guillermo Del Toro (Blade 2, HellBoy, Pan's Labrynth)

    or

Alex Proyas (The Crow, Dark City, i, Robot)

would be great to direct this IMO.

  • Its better if Bioshock dont become a movie. In any case, Id prefer a series that shows the beggining of Rapture and the fall of it...

  • @elrasta70 they will probably base the movie off of the book that came out recently which tells the rise and beginning of the fall of rapture

  • @elrasta70 Good idea, but they'de need a big budget.

  • Definitely a film for Danny Boyle (Director of 28 days later & Sunshine)

  • lols@all the serious nerds

  • I think it would be good to make it into a movie. Not everybody plays video games and a movie would allow the amazing Bioshock story to be shared with everyone.

  • @ShiballsProductions lets send all those republicans down to rapture

  • Why the fuck would you want a 2 hour movie anyway when you have a twelve hour game or w/e to experiance the whole damn thing and stop and look out of the windows and enjoy the artsyle anytime you want. I'd constatnly stop just to look at wonder at Rapture. Seriously why the fuck do you need a movie, next it will be an anime then a fucking boardgame. Give me and Bioshock a go'damn break.

  • If there is going to be a movie, I'd rather it be made by Ridley Scott.

  • I love the chills this song gives to me.

I want to live in Rapture!!!

  • @xNightShad0wx So do i lol

  • this game never gets old for me, I can't even count how many times I have played it completely through.

  • I'd rather this movie was made by Guillermo del Toro.

  • God, I feel chills by listening to this music

  • I chose......... Pikachu.... wait...RONG

  • this song embody's everything rapture was and is now a dream turned nightmare

  • All good things

    on this earth

    flow

    into the city

  • most beautifully designed game-world EVER

  • Soundtrack still sends shivers down my spine.

  • Awww! Now I have to play the game again.

  • @instantlockerzinvit1 system shock 2 is freakin sick! The acting, story, and atmosphere are so immersive (why I love Ken Levine), the game still scares the crap out of me today. Still waiting for system shock 3 lol

  • @onceone96 the graphics from gears 3 ? aahaaahahaaahah i like the bioshock infinite graphics better and why a game like bioshock 1 but better ? why not just bioshock 3 ? no inifnite isnt 3 :)

  • has anyone here played System shock 2? its a much better version of this game, this game is a highly dumbed down version of it, the story is IDENTICAL in both, i want to hear other views on this madness

  • @instantlockerzinvit1 having in mind both games are from irrational games, they are on their right to do whatever they please, but, no, i dont think the story is identical... i just thinl you are an extremist who wants to get attention because he has played old games. Well mate, you are not the only one, but maybe the dumbest.

  • @Borjagonzalo123 actually yes check out antisocialfatmans review of the game, just cuz its the same company shouldnt mean they should keep the story the same, antisocialfatmans review shows how identical the story is, have you beaten ss2? really they are so similar, and bioshock just dumbed down the amazing complexity of ss2s gameplay, anyways i see you have MGS2 snake on your picture avatar, MGS is my favorite series of games! :D

  • @instantlockerzinvit1 well, i suppose erverybody has something good in them

  • Is it at all ironic that a godless society would call their utopia the Rapture?

  • @Chdonga Because "rapture" also means "ecstasy."

  • @johnthebull wtf are you talking about. Andrew Ryan named it Rapture because he considered it a Rapture from the undesirables of the land.

  • @Vrism1337 Never said it wasn't. Merely pointed out the alternate meaning of the word; adding to the "irony" that Chdonga touched on.

  • one of the best games of all time by far

  • Bioshock Infinite is gonna suck. It isn't bioshock anymore its just a first person shooter. Ken levine please give us Bioshock 1 with better graphics (the graphics from Gears 3 would be nice), more weapona and more plasmids. That would be like OMFG super amazing

  • I remember dropping my controller at 39 sec of the this song and I saw RApture

  • @egdqv13234 Umm...there is no "Bioshock City".

  • It reminds me of the Nightmare Before Christmas.

  • I played demo of Bioshock but I didn't like the gameplay. But when the speaker said RAPTURE and i saw this city, I thought it must be something in that's a great game.

  • this was positively orgasmic :3

  • Oh guys, i have a better idea. Lets NOT make a movie and allow the game to continue on with its dignity.

  • @wadad17 So true just because something makes a great game doesn't mean we should turn it into a movie. Same goes the other way around. The mediums are to different and whenever people ask for a movie they make it. No one is ever pleased with the end result.

  • @wadad17 Finally someone gets it.

  • @wadad17 Nolan wanted to do it and if there's one guy i'd trust to make a videogame adaptation it's him :| ofc it didn't work out because it would have been pegi 16 and no one wanted to finance that.. fucking world we live in... i'd trust peter jackson too now that i think about it

  • @SillyScyllia ITs not that i dont trust anyone to make the movie. There are people perfectly capable of doing it. But why do we need a movie? The game was perfect! In fact there are somethings i just dont think you can do on film that you could do in a game. So i dont mind if they make one, just do expect to get the same experience out of it.

  • @wadad17 If you don't want them to make a movie there's a simple solution- don't watch it. I for one would love to see a talented director try to tackle it.

  • @wadad17 I think a story so amazing like this one should get the attention of the non-gaming (or, more precisely, non-FPS/RPG crowd) and who knows. It may shake up Hollywood

  • @Superspy4596 I did say Quentin Tarantino, before.

    Happy?

  • 0:10 that violin is crazy.

  • I will never forget the first time i played this game, when i was going down the bathysphere and Andrew Ryan said "Rapture!" and the city appeared i remember i drew my breath, it was a scene i will remember for my entire life.

  • Welcome to Rapture, In case of fire break glass.

  • @SecretManOfMinecraft

In case of flood, put your hands to the head and start screaming in panic.

  • Gore Verbinski.......nuff' said

  • i want this played at my funeral

  • LOOKOUT THERES SOMEONE BEHIND YOU!!

  • 0:37 Sas Welcome to Bioshock city.

  • this music gives me a feeling of...uncertainty

  • I am sad that they are leaving Rapture. this was my favorite game do to where it took place and the area. I love just looking out at the city.

  • if you're wanting bioshock infinite, you'll have to wait until for the new xbox, this will not come out on the 360...mark my words...

  • This game.... makes me think back to it every couple of months. The story.. its like, the first time you played this game will be forever among some of the best memories of your gaming life.

  • @saggoh Yeah. In my opinion its the best FPS out there.

  • Bioshock, along with Red Dead Redemption, are the two greatest games i've ever played. They both stress the importance of character and having good morals in a bad world.

  • If Tim Burton were to make a movie of this...

  • @Griffx52 AMEN :D

  • @FluffyMuffinFilms He should.

  • @Griffx52 I'd go on a rage-induced murderous rampage

  • @Griffx52 I'd rather Tim Burton not touch this.

  • @blackathan1 Well... Some of work is good, if you get a mind like his... Fucked up beyond belief... Well sometimes..

Maybe Quentin Terentino (Or however you spell his name)

  • @Griffx52 well, tarantino might be a better bet cause he knows how to produce proper gory movies, (even though the gore wouldnt make the movie better) but still, tarantino is a great directer nonetheless. and regarding burton, i just feel like him alone wouldn't be enough to make the movie. and to be quite honest, some games would be difficult to be make into movies. this and mgs are probably the toughest in my opinion.

  • @blackathan1 Well, see, either one would work. And because since Burton's been more to children in movies, sometimes it'd work with what he does.

But I'm just saying because I'm a small fan of his work.

  • @blackathan1 agreed ;) no offence Griffx52 but bioshock is to epic to be messed with though Tim Burton is hands down the best claymation movie creator

  • @Griffx52 apparently they can't too expensive to make it right :(

  • Comment removed

  • @belshir Well, a man can dream.

  • @Griffx52 ooorrrrrr..... we could pool the money of every bioshock fan, if they all donnated at minimum $10/£10 we could fund it ourselves and he could then make it :D

  • @Griffx52 a movie is already being made

  • @Caph538 Why was I not INFORMED!?

  • @Griffx52 Look up the 2013 Bioshock trailer. Made by the studio that made Halo: Faith.

  • @UNSCDefenseForces It's actually fanmade.

    e.e

  • @Griffx52 There was a movie planned though. I think it fell through though, and is no more.

  • @XxTheStigmaxX The last director quit because other crew members didn't want the movie to be rated M. I don't think it's completely dropped, though.

  • @Griffx52

They made a book of this! Or actually how Rapture started but I read some of it and its really good!

  • @isnormalityareality i finished the book in 3 days, couldn't stop reading. Just as amazing as the games, sad but great ending

  • @Griffx52 he would ruin it.

  • @Griffx52 Ahw yeaah"!

  • @Griffx52 holy shit, yes <3

  • @Griffx52 helena bonham carter would be tenenbaum and johnny depp would be jack D:

  • @Griffx52

my god, peoples heads would explode

  • i could play the beginning of this game 100 times over just to listen to this song

  • This is overdone but it's too epic!

    1) Pause this song at 0:00

    2) Search for Inception Mind Heist on Youtube in another window.

    3) Play both of them at the same time, with Welcome to Rapture playing a tad bit louder than Mind Heist.

    4) Enjoy. :)

  • @BatmanUncharted :inglip: what kind of sorcery is that?

  • @BatmanUncharted They're both in the same tempo. This is incredibly epic, especially when done right.

  • One of the best FPS games of the last decade. This game, and its sequel, completely blows any Call of Duty or whatever off the water without even trying

  • I haven't been able to find a better fps/rpg yet!

I do like the open world in Borderlands tho.

  • One of my favorite things in Bioshock is how it seems like you are just some quite unlucky man that happened to get stuck in Rapture, but it then turns out that you are more complex than you could ever guess.

  • Now I wanna go read more of the book..

  • The Bioshock games are definitely my favorite games to date. They blend the perfect mix of RPG and FPS and bring a truly unique world to life, an underwater city drowned by corruption. The music just makes it even better. 1 and 2 are both amazing games in their own right, and one would not be right without the other. Would you kindly agree with me?

  • @dragongirl007 fallout is better

  • @1mrfallout You can't really compare Fallout and BioShock though, no matter how similar they are, they will always be different in more ways, Fallout is the idea of a nuclear apocolypse that people are finally starting to bounce back from, sure, there's dangers, but people are still managaing to keep towns up and running, BioShock, however, is different, there's no hope, you're essentially the last sane person in this unfamiliar, forgotten place, where no-one can help you.

  • This song makes me mentally insane, it's creepy sad, and just pure amazing at the same time. Bioshock is the overall best and most beautiful game EVER.

  • the best game i hate world of warraft its stupid game this game must give teachery to all games

  • I love this because it instantly tells the you are f*cked you shouldn't have gotten into the "submarine!"

  • the only thing that could have been done to this game to make it better was if the graphics were better.

  • @xI0GAMER0Ix2 Dual wielding. I played the second immediately after finishing the first, but I couldn't finish for a few months, as it just didn't live up to the story of the first. However after playing the second I miss dual wielding to much.

  • @farlcoon the first one is good enough to be made into a movie and it wouldnt be that hard to make a Bioshock movie

  • Does anyone know what the title of the music in Bioshock is? It's got no lyrics and, if it helps, when I heard it sometime during the episode with Peach Wilkins. I don't think it's part of the original soundtrack for the game, I think it's actual music from the 60s.

  • This song is very cool and has that sea feel to it. I wish i could travel to rapture. It would be amazing.

  • Would you kindly like this video?

  • No says the man in the Vatigen, it belongs to god.

No says the man in Washington, it belongs to the people.

No says the man in Moscow, it belongs to everyone.

No says Andrew Ryan, it belongs to the Rich Mother****er who built the only underwater city.

  • @TheAuditer2009 *vatican

  • @anyname13579 Thank you for the correction.

  • @TheAuditer2009 lol nice

  • When I heard the speech, I was like "Wow... this is some serious sh*t...". Then the projector screen got down and my mind was blown.

    Everywhere.

    Best Bioshock moment ever.

  • Would you kindly thumbs up for this masterpiece?

  • If INFINITE meets my expectations then this will with out a doubt be THE BEST game series of this generation. In my opinion anyways. I think that we can agree that this title is already classic.

  • "I chose....Rapture!"

  • I chose... Rapture!

  • would you kindly click the like button?

  • @jameshong89 no

  • best games ever. if the engine was updated to be more modern id love it more. gfx are fine i just think that the shooting system and enemies could use some improvement. cryengine 3 bioshock mod any1?

  • Bioshock never would have existed without Ayn Rand :)

  • @oac121 and I would've never known Ayn Rand without you. Thanks btw.

  • @MrApedron my pleasure :)

  • They should make this a movie...

  • There are no gods or kings here, only men.

  • Would you kindly?

  • 1st time i played bishock, it blew my frign mind!!! I had no idea what it was about, or even if it was 1st person, just bought it on a whim.

Truly is one of my all time favourite games.

  • I love this Bioshock, not a big fan of the 2nd really to me was a boring FPS, first one's best, and im certainly looking forward to Bioshock infinite :)

  • i need more of this kind of music O_o (longer tracks would be pro)

  • welcome. to rapture

    (rapture pops up)

    me: ooooooooooo meeeeeeeee gooooooood.

andrew: and just a formality. im dead. and what you see is real. even that shark thats about to hit you straight in the face

  • The first time I saw Rapture was truly an awe-aspiring moment. The projector slides away to reveal this mysterious but beautiful city dwelling among the ocean, paired with this soundtrack. That moment alone goes on my list of best video game moments of all time.

  • This really reminds me of the Medievil 1 & 2 (Not a typo) soundtrack, and that's why I love it ^_^

  • I really wish they put rapture in bioshock infinite :( hopefully it'll be able to live up to the epicness of its predecessors.

  • That little crescendo 1:23 really gave me chills.

  • First time i saw rapture i was like o_0 ......WOW!!

  • Know matter how much I listen to this or any od the bioshock soundtrack it never gets old

  • God i love this stuff! Could someone message me some of the songs throughout bioshock 1 and 2? Because they are creepy as hell and id love to have em. Im just haveing alot of trouble finding them.

  • @Steeleophogus If you know how to torrent go to Kick Ass Torrents and search Bioshock soundtrack

  • 9 splicers have disliked it so far

  • "Would you kindly?"

  • I miss the Billy Mays parody

  • beautiful :')

  • One of the best games I have ever played.

  • Bioshock was the best game in the world. It makes Call of Duty look stupid. lol

  • @Wafflepal actually bioshock and call of duty 4 mw, are the best games of this generation, and one of the best fps ever made, legends :P

  • @Wafflepal Making a typical but really fun shooter look stupid isn't something really worth bragging about. Lots of games have done this. Now, this game made many smart games look stupid, that is something you can say with a straight face.

  • @Wafflepal Was? Is.

  • @xFLYBATx Don't get all nostalgic now.

  • @Wafflepal cod is a good game, overated yes, but good yeah dont be hating, cod 4 was one of the best games i have ever played along with bioshock 1&2.

  • @ShadowzOfRS Not a COD fan but I agree. COD4 is the best of the franchise

  • @Wafflepal

Was the best game? IS the best game in the world!

  • @Grm0xlr2xD until fallout new vegas

  • @Wafflepal Call of Duty does that on it's own...

  • @Wafflepal THat's becuase Call of Duty IS stupid.

  • This game is very creepy, and the song makes it even creepier!!

  • To me, Bioshock is an example that video games can be so much more than just entertainment. I swear I don't just hold this game up to the spotlight, I friggin' idolize it. xD

  • Is It Bad If I Beat This Game Over 9 Times, And Enjoyed Every Minute Of It?

  • @SerialSNipEr84 nope. i beat it over 20 times and i enjoy every second XD+i beat bioshock 2 a lot of times and i still enjoy it XD

  • "...I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture. A city where the artist would not fear the censor. Where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality. Where the great would not be constrained by the small. And with the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your city as well"

  • perfect game apart from one thing why wasn't there a online it would rock rapture!!!
