  • what a fucking awfull victory speech

  • can people please not post spoilers. I've only just started to read the first book and i hate watching these videos and seeing comments that ruin the series

  • Wow, it's going to be weird when Jaime becomes a viewpoint character. Like, really weird.

  • @burnout02urza hey cunt, dont post spoilers. CUNT. thank you.

  • I HATE Cersei and Joffrey with a passion, but I can't help but like how despicable Jaime is (and how much he enjoys it), and who can't love Tyrion?

  • @40Pacino

Oh you're gonna have a lot to look forward to in the next seasons...

  • SPOILER

Caitelyn FUCKED UP EVERYTHING in the books, capturing Tyrion on the 1º season which later led to Ned's death and on 3º season, freeing Jaime which later led to Robb's Death and her own.

  • @buenosanada Freeing the king slayer is not what leads to their deaths... It's Robb's betrayel of Walder Fray...

  • @rrg019000 Yes ok, but a great part of Robb's army stops following him because Catelyn freed the king slayer

  • @buenosanada True, but the Frays were the big loss. That's alright that bitch *SPOILER* gets her throat slashed.

  • Theon peering upon Jamie's shoulder 1:47 haha funny little prick

  • FU Theon.

  • "Jamie Lannister sends his regards." ;-)

  • @SolidSnake8295 When I first read that line I thought it might even be a Godfather reference, ie "Michael Corleone Says Hello." In fact I'm pretty sure it is. It's even better because (SPOILERS) both of those statements falsely assign blame. Jaime wasn't to blame, sure maybe the act was done on his behalf but he didn't do it, and I don't think he would have done it either.

  • @ravenouscolonelhart And even if Jaime did want to he would have done it himself. He might not have been an honorable man overall, but he was in matters of combat... for the most part.

  • SPOILERS KINDA I guess you could infer why I don't know just don't read unless you've read all the books

GOD FUCKING DAMN PEACE OF SHIT TWIN BASTARDS BURN IN THE SEVEN HELLS YOU SHITS. damn it George

  • Theon you cuntard!

  • "He's more use to us alive than dead." - Proof that Robb is ten times smarter than Joffrey. :P

  • am with greyjoy cut blondie's head off and send it to his father

  • Jeez.... It's spelled Jaime. NOT JAMIE.

  • Fuck you Theon

  • Jamie, always the charmer :3

  • At 1:53 Jaime should say: "Good! Your learning fast."

  • Rest in Peace Robb Stark of Winterfell, True were Thy Course, A Wind at Your Back... Forever..

  • @iamsexy22able You really shouldn't make such a subtle spoiler. I'm immune because some1 else spoiled it 4 me... but COME ON don't repeat the same thing to ruin everyone else's experience.

Yeah, you're showing your love for Robb... but you're potentially ruining everyone else's experience. Besides, you might want Robb to read this if he were real, "...but the dead won't hear them."

This is me being polite. No offence intended. Simply trying to weight my word

  • "If we do it your way kingslayer, you'd win. We're not doing it your way."

    Smart lad.

  • @TheJboy88 Sarcasm? XD

It sounds epic until you pay attention closely to what he says...

  • IT'S JAIME NOT JAMIE!!!111ALLCAPS

  • Comment removed

  • @davey9000 The Tullys?! what are you talking about

  • Rob is so Badass!

  • A 2000 men diversionary suicide division? That sounds a bit... much. A mean, if they found a good strategic position they could've survived, surely... for more than a few hours.

Also, one more thing I didn't understand: Did the men Robb send to their graves KNOW they were going to die? Did the other soldiers in the army KNOW that the 2000 men sent were dead? Which 2000 men did he choose, really?

  • @fl333r in the books they explain this with more details.

  • @fl333r In the books, the 2000 men actually are able to retreat without too many casualties and regroup. It's not a simple suicide charge.

  • @Angarwaen Really... hmm?

Thanks for telling me. The "I sent 2000 men to their graves today" part was demoralizing.

Or wait.. are you saying they made the battle last longer but still died in the end?

Who took more casualties, though? Tywin or the 2000 bannermen?

  • @fl333r Nah, I meant that the Northmen still were beaten but most didn't die, they retreated and regrouped with fairly small casualties. Tywin still won though. The TV show transformed it into a mass sacrifice just to make it look dramatic.

  • @Angarwaen Oh... thanks for clarifying! :)

  • @Angarwaen i thought that it was robb who took 2000 horse and roose bolton was in command of the 18000 foot

  • High five Jamie... You gotta give him a hand, he's pretty cute :)

  • @Innerwolfable17 Oh the Irony

  • @Innerwolfable17 If that's a joke it's pretty funny, if it's not it's hilarious.

  • @Innerwolfable17 ironic your talking about Jaimes hand. hehe

  • "we are not doing your way" !!!

  • You have to love this scene

  • A green boy, sure. More like to be brave than wise.

  • too many book spoilers around.can we just watch the series?

  • I am amazed how everybody is so sure about the outcome of single combats: one of the finest accomplishments of GRRM is the realism. Even if we admit that Jamie is better with sword than Ned (which is implied in the books) that doesn't mean that, in every 100 combats, he would win them all, many things come as factors.

Having said that, i'd bet money always on Jamie, Selmy, the Cleganes, Dayne, Loras and Drogo, less on Eddard, Strong Belwas, Brienne, Hotah and not so much on Mormont, Snow or Robb

  • @quasij Snow would bash the crap out of everyone.

  • @JBCanimation Do you really think that Jon Snow would win against Jamie or Selmy? I have the feeling that Jon Snow is a good swordsman and a great leader, but not the opposite...

  • @quasij

no but the author who created the entire fantasy universe chose to directly address the question you're dismissing out of hand as inherently a waste of time (and to a certain extent I agree with you, there's way better things to argue about than this). that being the case, and since GRRM did take the time to specifically state Ned would get his ass handed to him by Jaime, it's silly to pretend like we really don't know for sure what the answer to this question is.

  • What does Jamie mean by offering his sword?

  • @juve96 offering sword = capitulation

  • complaining about spoilers is pointless, douchebags are going to put them up no matter what you want so just learn to live with it and not read the comments

  • I would say the best fighters in westeros are probably: Jamie, Drogo, Selmy, Syrio, Loras, Dayne, Robert Baratheon (pre series), Eddard stark

  • Fuck the Freys

  • I'm on the 4th book, I'm wondering what has happened to Theon; if he is alive or not after.. you know (trying not to spoil anything here)

  • @prettyreckless2700

    yeah he's alive

  • And here i thought Robb was supposed to be 15

  • 1 lannister was captured and raped in the hoods

  • at first i hate jaime and king joffrey but then i realize what great actors they are because they make me feel for them

  • Theon is an idiot.

  • LONG LIVE ULFRIC STORMCLOAK. oh wait thats rob stark

  • @Barthinater xD

  • really a moving scene, seeing Kat's guard down ffor the first time and all

  • He didn't lose his sword, he mislaid it.

  • ehmmm he's hot as a lord of Winterfell

  • The Starks needed a win, I am glad that GRRM decided to give them this victory

  • Come on! Pretty man.

  • why all u like so much jaime???!!!!because he's good at sword...???FUCK ALL THE LANNISTERS AND THEIR SUPPORTERS!!!!!!

  • @Kwstasffcladose

Jamie's character totally turns around and becomes one of the most awesome guys in the series. By the end of the third book you'll be rooting for him, I promise you.

  • @SkunkyAngry he definitely does redeem himself in a way but i wouldn't say i'm rooting for him just yet

  • @SkunkyAngry Shut up, dammit. I'm only at the end of the first book.

  • @SkunkyAngry i hated jamie for a long time too. but in around the third book he became awesome to me too! hope he survives the franchise :)

  • @SkunkyAngry stop spoiling!!!

  • @chreberle

aw, for christ sake, I'm not spoiling anything. It's called an arc and every character has one. I just don't like to see noobs hating on Jaime cause they haven't read far enough.

  • @SkunkyAngry it's okay - I did not want to flame you or something.

  • @SkunkyAngry Well, most of us did hate him at some point, so it's only fair to let these guys have a chance at it as well

  • @chreberle

get off the internet bro, why would you dig through a bunch of nerd commentary about a video based on a tv show set in a fantasy universe and then complain that you never saw the eventuality that someone might actually mention something from the series that you most everyone here loves? Sequester yourself with the books. Run through them, find out what happens if you want to know so badly.

  • @SkunkyAngry THANKS FOR THE FUCKING SPOILER YOU INCONSIDERATE FUCK.

  • @IntolerantMaster

So you're saying that fans shouldn't discuss, mention or allude to anything online that occurs past the first season for the sake of everyone who hasn't read the books? Fuck off, you little cry baby. I didn't give anything away. Btw, I'M not the one who thumbed up my comment putting it at the top.

  • @SkunkyAngry You can just don't post it in such a public area. Post it on a GOT forum. I'm reading what little I can of the second book in between exams. Now I know;

    A) Jaime survives until at least the third book and

    B) He essentially changes his attitude towards life.

  • @IntolerantMaster

Jaime is freed by Catelyn Stark at the end of the second book and spends the third book under the supervision of Brienne of Tarth as she escorts him back to Kings Landing in exchange for the Stark girls. On the way, they're captured by sellswords who cut off Jaime's hand and nearly kill him. At this point he starts feeling empathy towards Brienne whom he initially loathed and by the time he gets to Kings Landing, he's a changed man.

    Now THAT'S a spoiler.

  • @contactlenssolution I wish I hadn't read that, FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-!

  • @SkunkyAngry halfway through the 3 book still noot on his side but he is getting to me still his brother is the awesomest ever

  • @SkunkyAngry Lol here in australia rooting mean something else :P

  • @SkunkyAngry I dont think i will like him after he fucks his sister and tried to kill ned's son... dont spoil tho

  • @SkunkyAngry Boy, do you have that right. He's a much more "layered" person than the first couple of shows portray. I ended up feeling sorry for him and hated it when he lost his hand. Damn, he's a good looking man. saj

  • @SkunkyAngry seriously, i dont really care how much jamies character changes, it doesnt change what he already did.

  • They made this scene so emotive... soundtrack is awesome

  • jaimes armor isn't very gold....

  • Damn the red wedding!

  • Man I love Theon. And I don't exactly know why.

  • @metav3rvse Just out of curiosity, have you read the books?

  • @CaptainPengu Yeah... still love him.

  • @metav3rvse okay :D

  • @metav3rvse his name is reek, it rhymes with leek, it ryhmes with freak. He has to remember his name or he will lose another finger.

  • does the setting in this scene remind anyone of Henry V when he gives the St. Crispans day speech?

  • "Checkmate motherfucker."

  • Please, Ser Barristan would cut Jaime as easily as a knife cuts cheese!

  • can't wait for those wedding bells!

  • The King in the North!!

  • his strategy sucks, so much men died just to capture jamie

  • @anonymous133711

he's outmanned 60,000 to 18-22,000 depending on the strength of his host initially, and how literally Theon's comment about having the Frey's having about a fifth the manpower of the Northmen should be read. Sacrificing 2,000 of that number is not an unreasonable decision to gain what should have been at least a default draw (trade Ned for Jaime, pardon everyone from the North, war's over as far as they were thinking at the time)

  • @DaveXRubicon 60,000men? so he defeated the other 30k right?

  • Selmy would own Jaime. Eddards dad said Selmy was the best he ever seen. And Eddards dad was never wrong in matters of combat.

  • @GlennShook Well it dosent matter cuz if events that occur, but he said Selmy "WAS" the best "HE" had ever "SEEN" that does make him spectacular no doubt, not Nescacarly better than the Kingslayer

  • i love Greatjon Umber is, well, the man.

  • What...no Dire Wolf running with them? Dissapointed...

  • "but the dead wont hear them" epic quote

  • is it me or jamie looks like prince charming???? ????? (on shrek)

  • The ambush part is awesome in the book, IMHO.

  • My favorite scene of season 1.

  • "If we do it your way, Kingslayer...you win. We're not doing it your way." KING IN THE NORTH!

  • Barristan is maybe old,but I would put my money on him against anyone.

  • Screw you, Theon.

  • Even if he did take the challenge and win it, the Lannisters would not surrender.

  • And that's a real dimbass speech from Robb.

Only a fool would take the heart from his men like that, in the books Robb is far from that.

  • Barristan is still badass but he's old. Lannister would kick his ass.

Only person in Westeros to challenge him is Garlan Tyrell and maybe the hound too.

  • Can't wait till season three, its going to be fucking intense.

  • Barristan Selmy is finest knight in all of Westeros according to books,so he could take Jaime.

  • @minotauruskt jaime would take barristan i think

  • You have to hand it to the Lannisters... They're snappy dressers.

  • of couse he would win boy...he's the finnest sworsman on the seven kingdoms, better then any tyrell better than any martell, notherman or kingsguard, the only ones that can beat him are exiled or dead

  • Jaime made a new "Mad King" by fucking his sister!

  • "We are not doing it your way" ATTA BOYYY ROBB lol

  • Probrably like half a dozen guys in all of Westeros would take that challenge: Barristan Selmy, Sandor Clegane, Thoros of Myr, Gregor Clegane, Loras Tyrell, etc... and, honestly, I think Jaime would hack the shit out of all of them. I like Robb and Cat, but when someone's got the nickname ''Kingslayer'' that guy had badass written all over him ahahahah Go Jaime >=D

  • @wattoucheng what about all of them against him all at once....',:/

  • @wattoucheng I'll bet Selmy could take him. Loras Tyrell, no way, he's like a proto-Jaime, the real thing has him beat. Gregor and Sandor would both be too slow being such huge guys. Jaime would have beat Ned too if it had continued, although I don't know if he could have disarmed him and taken him alive like he wanted to. I'll bet Selmy could take Jaime though, Jaime even admitted that Selmy was the best he'd ever seen.

  • @ravenouscolonelhart Garlan Tyrell pwns Jaime easily, the guy spares with four people at once

  • @wattoucheng in fairness all he did to earn that was stab an old man in the back, i could do that. Jaime himself admits later that loras is as good as he is and sandor clegane knocks him out of the tournament in the book. I also reckon syrio forel, khal drogo, and ned stark all stand good chances of beating him

  • @JDrakeify Ned Stark couldnt take Jamie....in the books its made obvious that Ned cant match Jaimes skill when they fight and in the show Jaime is just playing with ned, hes similing throughout the fight and appears pretty much laid back throughout the whole thing like he finds it amusing.... while ned is giving it his all

  • @cocaineuk87 thats just representative of their personalities, Jaime is said to always find everything to be a joke in the books whilst Ned is very serious. Its also said that the only two times Jaime feels alive is during sex and fighting. Also, Ned says he doesnt fight in tournaments becuase when he fights a man for real he doesnt want them to know what he can do. Barristan mentions that he cut down loads of knights when he was younger, plus ned is like 40 and not as physically fit as Jaime

  • @JDrakeify you and I could stab a old guy in the back. Stab a King in the back and have the balls to face it before the whole kingdom is an entirely different thing. Of the guy you noted, I reckon Syrio would lack strenght to outmatch Jaime and Drogo would simply lack knowledge to face elite-armored westeros knights such as Jaime. Loras = too green to take someone much more experienced, Ned = too old and too much honor to face someone who actually uses men honor's against themselves.

  • @wattoucheng i think girl will kill Jaime.

  • @wattoucheng if i was jaime i reckon i could handle it cos in my head i knew that i acted rightly killing such an evil man in order to defend kings landing and my family. And in my opinion with drogo the westeros knight thing wont matter cos he's both quicker and stronger than him. drogo has had to fight his way to the top in what even king robert admits is an army which is a lot harder than any in westeros

  • @JDrakeify is syrio ned starks daughters 'dancing' instructor, sorry, its been awhile since i saw Game of Thrones, I forget the names.

  • @roflknife64 Yes the first sword of Braavos he was teaching her the Waterdance style.

  • @roflknife64 yh

  • @JDrakeify Of course! The title "Kingslayer" is not an endearing one that speaks of fair prowess, but of the ability to fight cheaply and stab someone in the back (or eye, ugh).

  • @JDrakeify : He stabbed a mad King who thousands dared not defy. You have also chosen to only take bits of the book suited to your belief. In the books Jaime thinks to himself he could beat Gregor as he is faster, how true that is remains untold. Syrio Forel and Khal Drogo are foreigners who never have experience fighting against plated foes, the fight [SPOILER] between barristan the bold and that bodyguard of Hizdar lo Loraq is a good example of that. Ned Stark is too old really.

  • @redcodec well the fact that he's said to be the greatest knight in all of westeros is evidence its not just his belief, but also those who are fighters in slavers bay dont even approach the standard of the dothraki, and this is why they always go and sack their cities. In the first book its said that for ser jorah to defeat one of the dothraki, he needed to wait until he was hit to have time to kill him. Drogo wouldn't give jaime that chance, he'd just go for the throat as he did in the tv show

  • @JDrakeify : Jorah is nowhere near the kingslayer's skill level.

  • @redcod but neither is the bloodrider anywhere near the level of skill of drogo, so they both have the same gap between them. Plus it isnt so much to do with jorahs skill as the armour weighing him down, its probably would happen to all westeros knights.

  • @JDrakeify : so your point is a westerosi knight would be weighted down by armour hence a disadvantage against a dohtraki? did you read my point about that bodyguard wielding a arakh against baristan the bold in plate armour? You raised a statement saying the fighters in slavers bay don't even approach the standard of the dothraki. that bodyguard was one of the best in the fighting pits of meereen. and, where in the book does a comparison between the slaver pit fighters and dothraki exist?

  • @redcodec well its said that the only army that the army which gave the dothraki the best run for their money was the unsullied, and even then they werent totally defeated. plus its mentioned that the cities of slavers bay usually try and pay the dothraki off instead of letting them sack the city. If you read between the lines, you can see that they'd beat them

  • @JDrakeify : an important point missed is the dothraki are strong in the field because they are mounted. They are natural riders and one of the finest. But we're talking about them fighting on foot here. And second point missed is as you mentioned, the fighters of slaver's bay are inferior warriors, nothing compared to a westerosi knight. And in the context of your first line they were refering to that specific region and it does not cover westeros.

  • @redcodec well the dothraki on foot are extremely quick, especially the bad ass ones like drogo, whereas westorosi knights are slow, and on horseback they still have their armour. the dothraki are still probably as fast in relation to a knight of westeros on horseback as one on foot.

  • @JDrakeify : i don't think every westeroi knight is slow on foot. nowhere does it say jaime is slow... the contrary is true. besides, the fight between barristan and the meereense pit fighter flashing his arakh with blinding speed shows what happens with you go naked against a plated and skilled westerosi knight, flashing fast arakh or not...

  • @redcodec THEY SHOULD SO DO A DEADLIEST WARRIOR EPISODE ABOUT IT!!!! lol jk

  • @JDrakeify Ned Stark doesn't even stand a chance. He is a lousy swordsman, the show exaggerated his abilities .

    Oberyn Martell

    Greatjon

    StrongBoar of Crakehall

    Syrio Forel

    Ser Barristan

    Clegane Brothers

and Jaime never admits Loras is as good as him. He just admitted that Loras is as arrogant as Jaime used to be.

  • @deathwagon94 Ned Stark cut through 3 Kingsguard in Dorne..

  • @tearsinrain86

NOt alone. Ned had them outnumbered 10 to 3 .yet he lost 8 men :). Jaime is known for his swordfighting abilities . He cut through Robb's guards like carving a cake.

  • @deathwagon94 dont think the greatjon would take him or oberyn martell cos presumably if jaime if the best knight in westeros he's fought oberyn martell at some point

  • @deathwagon94 he's not as good as the ppl youve stated but he's far from lousy

  • @JDrakeify

Yeah, if Ned was Jaime's age during their confrontation, that fight would have been over a lot quicker.

  • @Apollomasque the only reason jaime won was because of the guard that stabbed him in the leg...

  • @ThaFreekinG

Read the book for gods sake. Ned was as good as doomed when Jaime walked upto him with a sword. Ned Stark is nowhere near Jaime Lannister. This is not Harry Potter or Eragon where the good guy is also the strongest warrior in the world. This is the best story ever written.

  • @deathwagon94 I know Jaime is a boss and i'm not implying that he would win because he is a good guy....he would maybe have had a decent chance or maybe even have wounded him.

  • @ThaFreekinG : whether it was in the show or book's version, it was clear ned stark lost. In the show, ned stark was trying to hard to keep up during his fight with Jaime while Jaime was simply getting more energetic and confident as the duel progresses. this can be seen clearly on their facial expressions from jaime's confident smile and overpowering posture and ned's face turning more strained by the minute. in the book, ned was never even stabbed in the leg...

  • @redcodec Those facial expressions don't necessarily mean that Jaime was gaining the upper hand, it just showed their outlook on fighting, Jamie found it fun, Ned despised it.

  • @JDrakeify

I believe GRRM has stated that Ned Stark was a talented tactician but not nearly on the same level as the top tier warriors of Westeros, even in his prime. Syrio and Drogo fight in completely different manners both from each other and the knights of Westeros, and jousting in tournaments is distinctly not fighting to the death with swords. no stark is worth mentioning here, the best westerosi fighters I believe are Selmy, the Cleganes, Jaime, Loras and the Viper of Dorne. Hodor too.

  • @DaveXRubicon well in his prime, ned took down 3 of the kingsguard, including gerold hightower and arthur dayne , granted, he had 6 others there with him but the only one to survive was howland reed.

  • @JDrakeify You're absolutely right, Ned and Reed were the survivors of an 8 v 3 against some of the toughest badasses that ever walked Westeros. 2 caveats though, firstly, we don't actually know what the exact circumstances of this battle were (we know the where and not nearly enough about the details of the why, I hope GRRM will provide us with the rest of that scene before he finishes the series,or,um,dies). Second, when you walk into an 8v3 and lose 75% KIA,it doesn't say SO much

  • @DaveXRubicon Robert was good too..in his prime. when he didn 't weigh 250 lbs

  • @DaveXRubicon wrong

  • @DaveXRubicon Warriors are warriors and that is all. Ned Stark, Robert, Tywin are the generals that command warriors.

  • @randomusernamemygod I don't know what the hell you're talking about. Hannibal and Napoleon are probably the 2 greatest historical generals I can think of offhand, and neither one would stack up well in the average prison yard scuffle. Brilliant tacticians are emphatically not the same species of 'warrior' as Cassius Clay or Royce Gracie. Robert was less a general in the sense that Tywin lannister was, so much as a force of nature during his uprising, I don't see ur point.

  • @DaveXRubicon Robert in his prime. Ser Arthur Dayne, Ser Gerold Hightower, Rhaegar.
