  • funniest part 3:19

  • Anyone else love how they changed the key at 2:54? Did they ever do that in the actual BW Production?

  • @ValtronW If need be, they would have.

  • @Frostmourne79 But why would they need to?

  • @ValtronW Yeah, is in the score

  • As problematic as it is having a white actor play a half-Asian character...<3 Jonathan Prye.

  • @lasaboteuse Well, it was HALF-Asian, which many times you can't even tell. Hell, sometimes even I can't, and I'm Korean LoL. Pryce wins.

  • @Frostmourne79 That, and Jonathan definitely sleazed the character up a lot more than I remember, which just made it perfect.

  • I have to write a essay about this in my Eng 101 class, cant wait.

  • This was the greatest show. I remember this. Wow, it brings back memories.

  • This was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. This is Broadway at it's finest. Superb, amazing and so right on!

  • @PTSD101 It just goes to show those people who say there's no Opera that's good.

  • Oh sweet jesus, the hip thrust at 2.35....

    *dribbles and babbles*

  • Right after this, they did the awards for Best Actor in a Musical, and Pryce won, and as he took the mic, he said he wanted to announce his new book, "101 Things To Do With A Used Cadillac."

  • Jonathan Pryce was the best part of the show.

  • @pannicatack The Engineer SHOULD be the best part of this show all the time.

  • they told him not to hump the car ......

  • I love Jonathan Pryce<3 Amazing talent.

  • ....aaaaand that's why Jonny Pryce won the Tony :)

  • @AshLuvsJonnyStew

Once you hump a floating car onstage, on national television you're more or less required to get the Tony

  • His dancing is the sex!

  • He did great in the movie Brazil

  • So good, although humping the car that many times overdid it just a bit for me

  • @Chaserpeach Well, The Engineer is a pretty slimy, sleazy character-- so it isn't really out of place for him to act like that. I know he's supposed to be a kind of villain in this musical, but I can't help but like him and feel sorry for him, even after all of the stuff he does. He's really a victim of circumstance and time.

  • @Capricaquarius89 yeah I did a bit of research, and read an essay by one of te original cast members (Gigi Van Tranh) who said it was a last minute decision by the director and wasn't supposed to happen at Tony Awards :s

  • @Chaserpeach - Yeah, no. Nick told Jonathan he wasn't allowed to do it because of the censors. Jonathan made that decision on his own. Gigi Van Tranh is a character in the play, not a member of the cast.

  • @semelecharter I meant the girl who played Gigi Van Tranh (should have made that clearer), and he did too because it was NOT supposed to happen on the Tony Awards night

  • @Chaserpeach - I don't know what you mean by "he did too." Who did what too?

  • @Chaserpeach - Nick was the director of both the London and Broadway productions. He did NOT make the decision to have Jonathan hump the car. Jonathan did that on his own.

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There used to be a video of miss saigon on youtube from the tony awards and it was a clips shows of the various actors that played the principal roles. Do you have it?

  • He has still got it!

  • Absolutely fantastic. Thank you for uploading :)
