@KiCreativeStudio Well ofcourse not cg since we are talking about an 80s movie flick,besides that cg are not always bad if ofcourse the film producers and directors use them wisely! For example in some scenes on newer movies to show an entore army or for enviromental scenery from far.Its bad when overused a simple example green lantern movie.You know the meaning,nfortunately fucking tube deleting again my fright night movie.

@youtoubakias I agree, the effects look more realistic. And Jerry looked a LOT ghastlier in the original, he'd eat those Twilight twerps for breakfast, literally. As for pt 11 & 12, I feel your pain. Those were my favorite scenes, too.

@Radley1982 Ofcourse though those effects back in the 80s was something even for a movie with budget like that one,but twilight and fright night are two diferend kind of movies.The one belongs to horror genre and the other to the scifi style,i never see twilight so i cannot say anything about those movies! I never said anything about twilight that its a bad movie,i just telling the people that have some diferences between them thats all.And yes jerry would sertainly make them look childish.

Ironically, this is not the first film that intertwines vampires with werewolves to where the vampire becomes a werewolf and not a bat... Confused me to, and haven't really come up with a good explanation on why directors pull this.

@racermac1988 Well the fact is that when evil become jerry's follower he become mostly his henchman so from some older movie we see that the vampiric henchmen are zombies type goons that help them,i know ofcourse that he allready have his zombie helper but evil was not clearly a vampiric being,he was become a werewolf and this also shows that jerry was actualy a realy strong and eternal vampire to mess with!

@youtoubakias yeah i realize that , i only saw it about 20 times in high school :-) and i also bought the movie. i sure hope the new movie has some comedy value to it or it's gonna suck. Chris Sarandon was both hot and funny at the same time and i'm not too sure Colin Ferrell can pull that off (not a huge fan of his sorry). We'll see i guess. I'm hoping it's good and kids enjoy it like i did.

@Cassavius I think Dracula could walk around in the Daylight too, it just took away his powers or something. The whole "light kills them" thing wasn't always part of Vampiric lore.

True, "Nosferatu" introduced the heliophobia. In Stoker's Dracula sunlight takes away his shapeshifting powers. Dracula also needed Transsylvanian soil to regain his strength. I just don't like it when the drawbacks of being a vampire are just plain ignored.

@Cassavius Read Carmilla and Dracula. In both stories, vampires can be in sunlight but they're weak. In mythology, vampires hunt at night for stealth and not because they explode in the sunlight. The film Nosforatu popularized the "sun killing vampires" thing.

They JUST were rendered Powerless and were sensitive to Sunlight so they preferred NOT to ! The 1922 German Film " Nosferatu " is what popularized The Idea of Vampires burning up in The First Rays of Sunlight ! Recent Films , by having Vampires walking around in The Sun , are JUST harkening back to The ORIGINAL Mythology !

@Cassavius Fail. In Bram Stoker's original novel, Dracula could actually go out in the sunlight without dying or burning or anything like that. What happened is that he lost most of his powers during the day.

I believe the film Nosferatu popularized the "vampires die with the sunlight" mythology. Not started it, but made it popular. So no, they're not throwing anything out of the window.
