You played exactly as the class should. You drew back when you needed to, and you replenished the cloak. I don't even see self proclaimed experts of the spy do that. Why dont you have the ambassador? Its a must have for any spy! It kills anything in 2 headshots except full croc o style snipers and ubered people and it takes 3 head shots for a heavy.

Very informative video. Spy's actually my least played class (About 30 minutes while next lowest is Medic at 6 hours. Stealth just isn't my forte), but you offer several helpful tips and best of all, you actually come across as a very humble player. No ego flaunting, just somebody showing others how to learn the ropes of playing a Spy effeciently. If I ever decide to take up Spy, I'll watch this video for reference. Excellent video, man.

I have to say there were almost no pyros on the enemy team. That would definitely have made it harder for you.

I still use the regular cloaking watch. DR is good for a few yuks, and the CnD has its moments, but the increased cloak time while moving combined with being able to recharge with ammo is too good to pass up. Only time I ever switch is to Dead Ringer when the enemy is spamming all the defensive chokepoints.

A very interesting look on Valve's update way back in 2008. Have you thought about examining the other watches with such a fine eye on detail and and usability it'd be exciting to see you take a crack on the other ones.

I pretty much loathed the Dead Ringer until they finally patched it a few weeks ago so that it doesn't give away your location to every enemy within a 2,000 mile radius whenever you uncloak. Then I broke my own record with it -- see /watch?v=fABizqsaimo

I only used the C&D before the DR was made useful. I'll still use C&D when I don't feel like playing seriously -- spamming voice commands at the enemy while invisible, or to troll one single individual Sniper/Engineer for an entire game.

Ah I've been watching more of your recent videos (including the one you listed) and I can tell you've grown to like it, but I'm completely surprised about how our play styles seem completely different. (I've become a huge fan of the DR as well). Its extremely interesting to watch.

The C&D on the other hand was something I used when I wasn't as good as spy as I am now. Being able to camp for opening is super useful, and great in observing things in general. I can see its purpose.

I was playing spy earlier today.

( And ever since I got the Ambassador, I've been having a blast. )

and I finally learned the easiest way to get rid of a heavy medic combo is to backstab the medic, even when he's ubered. This will launch the medic far away from the heavy as if he were rocket-jumping.

Oh, and I've played with you before. It was a great fun time playing the engineer.

if you go into options there an option to setup a key to use you last disguise. I have it set the C key so after i kill someone or want to change my disguise weapon, i just press C and it does it on it's own.

The Deadringer is basiclly bs now after the update cuz once u use it is either run or die..... because the uncloak sound is just wayyy to loud every1 can hear u and they'll know they see a deadringer and be prepared..... happens to me too much. im a big spy fan. decent spy player sharing my opinion XP
