What a final table though, other than Scott Montgomery, the three chip leaders at the beginning of this hand were Ylon Schwartz, Ivan Demidov, and Peter Eastgate, all of whom are actually good. None of this Cada or Duhamel nonsense.
if a 10 came on the turn this would leave montgomery three outs on the river...the last 10 in the deck or the two aces...to give montgomery a better full house. either 101010AA or AAA1010
How can anyone think this is a bad beat? It's 54% to 46% preflop which in poker terms is a coinflip. The board bears nothing on whether it is a bad beat or not. However, the way the cards fell was incredibly sick. It's easier to understand that it wasnt a bad beat if you imagine the cards being dealt in reverse (because once your'e all in preflop it doesnt matter what order the 5 cards fall) where montgomery fops a straight. The guy with no chips must have loved these guys stupidity btw!
@tommy7champions haha, i hate losing to fat/ugly people. not that i'm not fat or not ugly, but i'm skinnier and handsomer than others, and it's those others i hate losing to.
how could a coinflip ever be a bad beat... bad beat is coming from WAY behind preflop or some ass winning with a bad play... not to mention marquis sucked out on the universe to get there... dean hamrick shouldve been there
@Mikniks so, you're basically saying that 'bad beat' actually doesn't even exist...cause most of the situations are close to coin flip pre flop, except pair vs lower pair...this is a bad beat. bye
@vlada92serbia Clown... first of all, LOTS of hands are worse than a coinflip including dominated hands (AK-A7)... a bad beat is situational: if you catch a guy bluffing you and he draws out on you, that's a bad beat. In fact, if the Montgomery hand above happened differently, like Montgomery for some reason called all-in POST-flop instead of PRE-flop, THAT'S a bad beat because he made a huge mistake and got rewarded.. To say this video is a bad beat shows no understanding of math
mont got lucky.......its about skill if you kick make a guy fold of calling after river....but it is luck when heads up all in preflop....Mont lost with trip As to poket 6 and full house coming on the river in one of the tournament.
This is definitely a bad beat. Montgomery called an all in pre-flop and was still behind. Although it was a coin flip, Marquis was a favorite to win. Even after the flop, Marquis hit trips and clearly should have won the hand. Montgomery hitting a backdoor straight was just sick. I would have flipped the table over if it happened to me.
lol you do not know anything about poker you idiot, you should shut the fuck up unless you like to embarass yourself and look like an idiot, you're well started there..
i gave you a valid reason why it's not a bad beat you irrational gargoyle and you're keep repeating the same shit over how i dont kow anything about poker. read past comments of other people who agree with me. stay in your lil room making videos to mock your ex LOL. i can only imagine how sad your life is.
its obviously still a terrible way to lose AKA bad beat considering after the flop he was a 25 to 1 favorite. forget the fucking chips for a second he lost with millions on the line in excruciating fashion. As for Montgomery, yes, because the money went in with him only a moderate dog, it wasn't too bad of a suckout overall, just a crazy combination.
Per defintionem this isnt a bad beat because the chips went in when it was a coin flip. If they chips would have gone in after the flop then it'd be a bad beat!
First half of the final table is bingo because there are short stacks who are pushing for quick double up. But after short-stacks are gone, real game starts.
How is Kelly Kim a donk? Just because he moved up a money ladder? He was short-stacked and he did the best he can to move up. How does that account for being a donk. He came in as shortest stack and ranked 8.
But I do hate his manners. Guy celebrates like a prick with his ugly girlfriend when someone gets or is about to get eliminated.
I'm talking about day 7 when Dean Hamrick or Craig Marquis was about to get eliminated. Before Craig Marquis hits his running flush, Kelly Kim kneels on the ground, prays like a prick that Craig gets eliminated. That's no manners. Chris Ferguson was short-stack in $1500 wsop nlhe and when he moved up ladder bcz few idiots got eliminated, you don't see Chris Ferguson celebrating. He sits quietly, shakes eliminated person's hand, and continues to play solid poker.
No doubt, everyone is happy when others get eliminated while they're short-stacked bcz they move up a ladder in prize pool and get more money. But keep that shit to yourself. Just like everyone, I get happy too when someone gets eliminated in live tournament while I'm short-stacked. But I don't express it, such as celebrating, kneeling on ground for someone to get eliminated, or etc in front of them.
fuck cada, duhamel and all luck-boxes like this

Guys actually this is just a flip. It's a flip preflop, they moved all in preflop, so it can't be considered a bad beat.

if they went all-in on the flop, it would've been a bad beat. but they pushed it preflop in a coin flip situation therefore it's not a bad beat.
