  • she always reminds me of my late father.. He used to love her songs a lot and played them almost everyday... kinda miss him now.

  • This song is apparently encouraging us to commemorate the longer but physically existed government. Please kindly note, the plum blossom is our national floral emblem. But the new government simply adores peony instead. In light of all circumstances, I like this song, therefore I like plum blossom in lieu of peony at this stage. Let's sing this great encouraging song after Terasa?

  • Ingat akan saudara2 ku yg trcnta

  • This song is the most memorable song. Her voice's always in mine mind.

  • Is it true that this song is banned in China?

  • Comment removed

  • @panitaweelee : last time it was banned, don't know if it's still banned :)

  • @armansyahli why banned? I think it is okay now.

  • I see that there are 369 likes, and 9 dislikes. Well, there is no accounting for taste, even appallingly bad taste. What a terrible burden life must be for those 9 dislikes. Even so,there is no law against bad taste.

  • My grandpa loves this song and so do I.

  • She makes you feel like you are a young child being comforted at bedtime with a beautiful lullaby,, my heart swells with emotion! Thanks for posting her songs, she was so lovely!!!

  • ชอบมากๆ

  • I 'm THai with Chinese blood, not understand the meaning. Her voice make me cry . It 's so powerful gentle soft like come from heaven, no such voice anymore. I know she is Buddist but hope really she 'd rest in GOD the Father. RIP my lovely Turng Lee Gwin

  • Teresa Teng, the Perfect Woman...gorgeously beautiful, incredibly sweet, perfect voice to sing love songs. Never to be replaced...

  • Beautiful personality, beautiful person, beautiful voice. So sad, that she is no longer with us.......May she rest in peace.

Teresa, we will love you forever!

  • Wonderful song by the late Teresa Teng.

  • คนร้องสวยซะ

  • MUY HERMOSO!!!

  • TERESA TENG is THE REAL SINGER!!!! with an angel voice!

  • Teresa Teng was the greatest singer in recorded music history. I'm a Texas cowboy, 61, and grew up on Elvis, Johnny Cash, the Beatles, C+W singers. NONE of them, NONE are even close to Teresa. She was an angel, charming, beautiful, precious, incredible woman, as well as singer. I just discovered her 3 months ago, and remain totally stunned, blown away, awed..There are no superlatives in English to fully describe her greatness. I only wished I'd heard her sing in person. God Bless her always!

  • @Lpmgato1 "There are no superlatives in English to fully describe her greatness". There are no in Chinese either.

BTW, may I take the liberty to introduce you to George's channel - HKshipsForTeresaTeng - ever song there has English subtitles and pinyin.

  • @TTalive Thanks so very much for your comments. I appreciate the notice regarding "George's channel," and look forward to review this more. As for Teresa Teng, she was the greatest singer in recorded music history, in my opinion. I love her music, voice, charm, charisma, and everything she represents. She was indeed an angel, in every way. I hope and pray her legacy and music continue for time and eternity.

  • I am so lucky to have been introduced to her music. Wow.

  • Maybe West have the king of male (Elvis) Asia definitely have the Queen of the world.

    Deng Li Jun.

  • 邓丽君就是梅花!

    她像征着中华民族的精神,也是中华民族的骄傲!

  • que linda pierna.

  • Her voice is so moving. Also, she looks beautiful in that dress

  • I'll be 40 this year and have knowing Miss Teng since my childhood through my mom...I've been in Germany since 1998 and never know that she's already gone...I just cried as I know about her died a couple days ago...I do really love her and her voice...She is the melting of Beautifulnes and Character in an Angel voice...

  • my parents use to listen to her a lot when i was a kid. so many memories...now this brings tears to my eyes.

  • I remember my reaaalllly old lao shi playing this again and again during class..

  • China did not let her into the country because all the great rivers would stop to listen to her sing.

  • @TatarInExile I did not know that. Interesting. I had impression her music was what would not go against government and she lived in China. Now I think I like her more. But I'm here trying to find really pretty song she did that starts with piano. Thats only song I know from her that I rreally love--but don't know name.

  • I LOVE YOU, TERESA!!!!!!!!!!!

    d

  • black people people in south afica know her too they singing her song every day

  • I do love this song, her voice very sweet & melodious, Thanks for upload.♥♥ siet-siet-nee♥♥

  • 巍巍的大中華!

  • Teresa sold over 100 million records. Now double or triple that for all the tapes that were made n sold of her songs. Then multiple that by 100 for the fact she never sang in China or had her records sell their during the 70sn 80s and then add that she was the most loved female vocalist in the world in the 20th Century... amazing and we all miss her but she remains in our hearts.

  • @mattmollysdad

Well said. I admired her integrity by not stepping into the land she loved so much to protest the controlling government. Being at my age, I think she might have done more good to Chinese by actually going into China to sing and talk to Chinese herself.

  • @mattmollysdad

Love what you said about Teresa Teng....the greatest singer in human history, to me...and the greatest single force to unify China in a free democracy. Her legacy continues...........I love her, and I'm a 61 y'/o caucasian Texas cowboy.

  • @Lpmgato1

I'm 65 short white old man who lived in Taipei, Hong Kong, Seoul n Osaka for around 15 years in the 70s n 80s. As for a unifying China force... I don't know. Your talking about unifying Chinese people with Chinese people... but what I saw, what I know for certain is that she single handedly taught Japan to respect not only Taiwan but Chinese women. That's huge! Asia is a much better place for that.

  • @mattmollysdad Thank you for your insight. The more I listen to Teresa Teng, the more I admire, adore, respect her. To me, she truly was the greatest singer in recorded human history. Her incredible voice, linguistic skill, and sweet, humble, sincerity, touches all cultures, races, at the very core of the soul. I mourn her passing and pray her music and legacy continues for time and eternity.

  • @mattmollysdad Hi, I was just wondering how did she taught Japan to respect Chinese women? I mean, is it a result of the topic of the songs she sang or was there more? I'm really curious so if you can spare a few minutes to tell me, it would be much appreciated.

  • @Lpmgato1 Whoooo... A Texan listening to Teresa Teng? Much respect Lpmgato1

    S/Fi

  • @cwmak70 Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, I'm a Texas cowboy, Caucasion, 61 y/o age. A Japanese friend told me about Teresa Teng 3 months ago, when he realized I liked Asian music and cultures. When I started watching, listening, I was awed, stunned, moved to the core of my soul. Never had I heard such pure, soulful singing. I don't speak any Asian languages, but intuitively feel the messages Teresa's songs convey. I LOVE her, and everything she represents. She was an angel, best ever!

  • as well as in indonesia

she's like played in every chinese restaurant lol

  • 越冷她越开花!

    唱得好

  • She is the perfect singer

  • you are hero

  • Its so sad, but beautiful song. I Love You, Teresa Teng!

  • I love this song. Very powerful voice by Teresa Teng. I'm not a Chinese but I love her songs. If she's not died early maybe the world music will be different or changing !!

  • Truly beautiful song - wonderful voice by the late Teresa Teng.

    So relaxing....

  • absolutely beautiful and gorgeous

  • She is a very good vocalist. She compares very favourably with two of my other favourites. Britain's Petula Clark and France's Mireille Mathieu. I heard this song a lot when I was in Taiwan in 1982. It is a real tragedy that she had to die so young.

  • Being an Indian who does not understand what this song actually says..I must say its lyrics are very smooth to my ears ..whatever they may mean.

  • i love this song too!

does anyone here know where i could download it? please and thanks a lot~ (:

  • anyone of you know where to find the mei hua song in thai version????

i like it... please let me know if any of you know it. thanks you!!!

  • What a beautiful woman. I miss her deeply.

  • I remember listening to this song on cassette when I was younger. I love her songs.

  • meihua is beautiful national flower of china

  • OMG. Her voice is soo good. She has such a strong voice. She also has this voice that I think no one can copy. It is beatiful. My mom loves this song. She likes other also.

  • its surprising that someone who has such a strong voice like teresa would have a serious level of asthma problems huh?

  • @inertialdrift

    Yes, it puzzles me too.

  • This song of the Chinese flower.and the Song of the Japanese

flower,Hana are both the most beautiful songs of each country.

  • Damn nobody on this earth has her voice

  • FUCKING STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • ama767:

God will forgive your igorant little Chilean ass. And he will one day bring your poor pathetic country out of poverty. For now, pick up a damn civilization history book and go through it page by page, and learn a thing or two about the world you're in, before God changes his mind.

  • I am just an outsider to this discussion brought about by the most beautiful flower of China, Teresa Teng! If the PRC should EVER think of forcibly invading Taiwan, the ROC should blast the airwaves with this song (and many others of Teresa Teng)! Let the invaders think before...

In effect, "a song standing in front of a tank." Seems to me you can win the argument better with sugar than with fire.

In my humble opinion.... I will now listen to the song for a fifth time this month.... :)

  • @TuboEspectador

I would not think Teresa would even be hesitated for fraction of a second to step in front of those tanks.

  • Such a strong song to every Chinese in the world. Just killing me softly with her song.

  • this is a beautiful song.

  • OMG! It's AWESOME! And Chinese language sounds just great!

  • I love this song!!! I might do this for a singing contest! :3

  • orry the number of kmt soldiers killed by jap is 4,000,000

  • mae wah! that's my chinese name.. chuang mae wah!! :-) btw i miss taiwan!! so much!! myh ah-i .. :-)

  • This is simply awesome. Very touching.

  • 美丽的歌,美好的未来。

  • This is more of a Taiwanese song [republic of china.] This song is know by most people here [in ROC.] This song is like the song [月亮代表我的心] for the PRC - which is know by most of people there.

  • Love this song so much!

  • Just watched and heard this song a few days ago and I love it. It really is a song for all Chinese (China, Taiwan, HK or overseas). The lyrics are so wonderful and what a great and beautiful singer. We will always miss her.

  • im only watching this for my presentation at chinese school

  • This song's truly very charming & lovely! It really brought my Chinese nationalism feeling. Although I'm a Indonesian citizen, but my families & ancestry were purely Chinese. I'm proud as a (pure) Chinese, although resided abroad & got foreign citizenship...

  • do you know chinese?

  • you should know your roots, Chinese people have a lot to be proud of, except Communism.

  • cool man,cool!!!

  • Careful! Communists must be also respected! KMT under Chiang Kai-shek didn't build China, but the Communists made the people prosperous & advancing China into world/regional power since 1949. We know that since 1950s, the rise of mainland under Communist & Taiwan under KMT has transformed China into develop yet powerful nation...

BTW, we should appreciate KMT for also building Taiwan & Chinese (Overseas) nation into one of world's dominant business power...

  • >>>Zulog1 u didn't mentioned the mismanagement of CHina and the crimes to the chinese people under communism.

  • Zulog1 didn't mention about the mismanagement of taiwan and the crimes to the taiwan people under KMT. What about 高雄事件?

  • arielhe>> so wat?? its notthing compared to the scale of communists. only dumbasses can't tell the difference.

  • Don't you easily judge the others dumbasses, weren't you educated to be polite even in Taiwan? We chinese use capitalist or communist, whatever, to be superpower again. Not interested in ideology.

  • Don't you easily judge the others dumbasses, weren't you educated to be polite even in Taiwan? We chinese use capitalist or communist, whatever, to be superpower again. Not interested in ideology.

  • Don't you easily judge the others dumbasses, weren't you educated to be polite even in Taiwan? We chinese use capitalist or communist, whatever, to be superpower again. Not interested in ideology.

  • arielhe>>> if you didnt make the comparason, i would not have called you a dumbass. Besides true chinese would support Republic of China and not support the communists.

  • nice to hear. I thought you prefer to call yourself Taiwaness or simply change your blood to japanese.

  • CaptainCool07¨¨¨, I see that you don't really know what communism is. Soviet Union occupied Czech and Poland, so USA say communism is bad. The truth is, the ideas are always good, but people did it bad.Indonesians killed many chinese, is it because muslim is all bad? No, I think it is people. Hope that you can understand what I mean.

  • arielhe>>> you made 2 mistaken assumptions

    1. i am taiwanese.

    2. all taiwanese want to be japanese.

  • CaptainCool07, you made mistakes. 1.the flag 青天白日滿地紅 is not founded by Sunzhongshan but 陸皓東.2, KMT lost 4,000,000,000 soldiers when jap invaded china.how radiculous that you say President Jiang want to be a jap.3,ROC and PRC agreed to keep civil relation but not foreign affairs till 2000.4,you recover mainland.5,be aware of mistakes and learn from history, think about future.mainland's progressed a lot,

  • arielhe>>> these are ur exact words, just cause i support KMT.

"I thought you prefer to call yourself Taiwaness or simply change your blood to japanese. " -arielhe

  • arielhe>>>look, the idea of communism may be appealing to peasants at the time, but impracticable and impossible to achieve. it resulted in millions of lives in mainland lost and left the country in ruins. Do i need to remind you of the great leap and cultural revolution???

  • arielhe>>> the current chinese flag is an importation from the Soviet Union and does not stand for China. Only 青天白日滿地紅 is our true colors and founded by our own Dr. Sun. Bottom line is Communism is a failure and our people paid for it.

  • Socialism is a workable idea. Communism is not. There's a big difference Karl Marx and Josef Stalin.

  • nobody likes Josef Stali

  • arielhe>>> nobody likes Mao tse tung.

  • So touched to see your comments. I am a Chinese from Mainland China and have resided in the United States for nealy 20 years even though I keep my Chinese citizenship. I plan to return to China in one year or so. I wanted to say that whatever citizenship we have, we are Chinese and we should be proud of our heritage as well as the renaissance of the Chinese nation.

I truly love the song, too!

  • A friend of mine who teaches Chinese told me that the flower is a symbol of strength and perseverance characters of the Chinese people. With respect and admiration, thank you.

  • love this song ^^. Teresa is the best

  • I'm not chinese..i'm not japanese...

I'm indonesian but I love teresa teng song's

  • This is a special song for Chinese people.

  • I love this song. I'm viet. Has anyone know where to get this song lyrics.(not in chinese) Please advise.

  • Yes, particularly these lines:

"plum blossoms fill the whole world" & "everywhere is blooming with plum blossoms, where ever there is earth and soil"...

Did she really die of "asthma"? Seems highly unlikely to me in this day and age, even in some remote Thai resort one would think a sufferer would carry an inhaler of that steroid stuff they use. Odd.

  • remember the song being taught to us in ST. jude in Manila, best chinese song ever next to long ti chuang ren, pls no politics, chinese blood in each one of us , without discrimination from which part of the globe u reside

  • Politics is in our life, we like it or not..
