There is no scientific evidence to support CO2 having the claimed Global Warming effect, while there is scientific evidence to show CO2 has a limited effect, and that Water Vapor is the significant factor in Global Warming as a Greenhouse gas.

I think all the eco left enviro activists should go live what they preach, leave capitalistic countries, leave your jobs and lifestyles and go live in a mud hut somewhere in poverty don't walk on the grass, fart or eat anything you might hurt the environment. But they won't because anyone who lives in the 2nd or 3rd world would give anything to live like us and have the time to worry about non problems like CO2 rather then where they might get their next meal.

Nowhere where DDT was banned has reversed a ban. The WHO is aiming to phase out DDT entirely.
The oil crisis of the 70s was an energy crisis. Not environmental.
"Global cooling" was speculation. Some media organisations ran stories on it briefly. It was never a confirmed threat, neither did it affect policy. Then some science was done and greenhouse gas warming was found to be more significant than cooling from particulate pollution.

@gmouney69 Well I looked. Rainforest loss hasn't stopped. 75% of Brazil's carbon emissions are due to deforestation. 40% of the Amazon rainforest will be gone in 20 years at the current rate, and it has been faster in previous years. Not really sure what the controversy is here.

Why the targeting of wealthy developed countries and citizens when developing countries would have enormous impact with the right support? It is money, plain and simple.
Power, water, gas, oil, are diminishing, but the delivery infratructures are under enormous strain with population growth. Unless we reduce the demand on those infratsuctures, enormous investment would be required with long payback. They don't want this of-course, and the global warming mantra is the model to reduce demand.

Perhaps we should be asking questions like why we must recycle glass bottles by smashing, reheating and reforming, with the enormous energy required? Why was the practice of returning glass bottles (for washing and re-use) and recovering a deposit BANNED in Malta when they joined the EU? Who is setting limits on car engine sizes? Why the leaky underground water pipes when leaving a dripping tap is really really bad.
It's money... plain and simple. Looks like things are going to get dirty.

@StudioComposer - i was saying that recently too about glass recycling, it applies to some other kinds of recycling as well. they should have proper bottle banks, where the bottles are washed and reused, obviously.
it's cause idiots are in charge, they actually are that stupid they can't think of the basics like that, plus evil always only thinks in terms of fake-job-creation - not in a holistic practical sense, cause then it'd actually work out well.

@StudioComposer - as to car engine sizes, yeah i wouldn't mind banging up the autobahn in a Merc myself, but we have to realise that the road transport system in its entirity is 100% unsuitable to this planet.
we let people drive death-machines, that they replace all too readily therefore waste resources, & near where we walk and live, using fuels way worse than the fuels that we had originally, a failure even just within the inefficient dangerous combustion-engine design tech.

@StudioComposer - if you're in the Middle East you can run such vehicles without much of a problem, but that's only because there's hundreds of room and not much people using it, so they can run about mental with engines as big as they want on the desert roads, it's only moving some sand out of the way, no forests had to die or be reduced, no villages need be noise-polluted or fume-polluted in the process. could probably make them only from rubble, and tar from the oil too.
