  • Corn!

  • The Wall is less impoverished in the Book, especially when compared to how bad its conditions looked on TV. In the book, they have much better food, including fresh seafood that is brought from East Watch.

The daily meal for the ordinary men usually had meat in it and GRRM did not write how the meat or bread had become rancid or stale in the AGOT's Novel.

  • This is what people Really fight for in the Game of Thrones, not power or iron chairs or golden thrones or beautiful women, its the FOOD. Yum Yum. LOL.

  • Okay, not to be picky, but I get the feeling that this dude is putting in about a thousand times more thought into the food the Crows would eat than, who was it, Three Finger Hobb?

  • I'm sure Maester Aemon would appreciate the dragon pepper.

  • He is Hodor?

  • I think the descriptions of food in the books are amazing, so im glad there putting in so much effort for the show too

  • Some how, given the relative poverty of the nightwatch, I doubt they could afford this.

  • Eastwatch By the Sea gets a lot of seafood for them, too, so it's fair. These are all fine cuisine renderings of things they could maybe really eat, so it's not exactly what they'd have. Probably wouldn't have cuttlefish ink in their seafood stew, but since it's black it's nicely representative of Nightswatch (and it tastes amazing - I was one of the lucky few who got to eat this dish, really amazing).

  • Huh. I thought they only served salted-beef and bread on the Wall.

  • @Claizen Remember the scene where the Night Watch Lord Commander was eating good food? The chef wouldn't serve stale bread and beef jerky for this promotion in our technologically wondrous world of today

  • @Claizen More of a sailors dish, that. =].

  • From Eastwatch-by-the-Sea

  • Okay I'll say it, that is one B-A looking lemon cake

  • "Jell-et" lol

  • @paulio89 Um, yeah, that's what it's called.

  • @joffeloff Since when?

  • Food trucks? WHAT THE FUCK?

  • All they get at the Wall is meat and potatoes.

  • @p0rnADDiction potatoes are from the new world dont think they had them in westerios before 1492

  • @arrowakano You do know WesteROS (not rios) is not our world, do you? Last I checked we have no dragons, direwolves or giants either.

  • where are you getting the sea food at the wall?

  • @Feiself Could be the food that they serve at the eastern part of the Wall which is right next to the sea. I think, lol.
