EPIC!!! Wonder what the idiot DJs at the radio stations at the time were doing not giving this song the air play time it deserved. One of the greatest music performances ever!
Stunning performance this, Yngwie was on top form here, check out the version ive just uploaded, recorded live in 1983 at The Country Club, Reseda, California!
@jimbo1san They were Brazilian indians who were displaced by modern civilization in the 70s. Many died of diseases when they came into contact with the white men, and were forcefully transferred to other areas. The ones who survived were allowed to return to their region only about a decade ago. A more correct spelling would be "Kreen-Akrore"
This guy set the "speed standards" over a quarter century ago and it still stands. Go ahead.....start rattling off the pretenders to the throne, but in the end, like him or not, he still wears the crown. A simply amazing talent.
Graham Bonnet and he is not gay. He has had two wife's, the last one he was married to for 30-years and he has several children with her. He just likes the look of the 50's, nothing more.
Bonnet has a "butchy George Michael" thing going on here, but does have a great metal voice. But why does it look he is the gay guy out for a night of karaoke with his straight co- workers?
I think Graham Bonnet is GAY! Sorry, but that's my take. I've listened to him for almost 30 years. Watching these videos seals the deal. He was also obviously in a power struggle w/ Yngwie during their time in the band. Great voice at times, though. Very classic. If he's not, I take it back. He seems a little swishy on stage and wears a lot of pink.
@keldog72263 did u forget back in the 80's pink was a big color. Are you calling all the hair metal dudes that slept w/ like 1000 chicks even tho they looked like chicks gay?
Kree Nakoorie is a corrupted form from "Kren Akrore", a indian tribe from Brazil. In The lirics have a mention to the "Elegant warrior, my gun and your spear" making reference to this.
@johnstonebreaker i didnt say he wasnt a good singer but i just thought his image was funny. never insulted him. i insulted his manager for letting him go out looking like that
The ultimate "80's" guitar hero. The stage presence, the charisma, the vibrato that bring tears and the jaw dropping technique, it' s all there. The Malmsteen of the 21st century is not even remotely comparable to the one in this footage...the unfortunate proof that no matter how great or " godlike " one can be at a moment of his life, he can go downhill ( pretty far down in this case) quite fast. Doesn't matter though, we still have the videos.. Thanx for posting..
This is off of the Alcatrazz tour "Live Sentence". I didn't know any of it was professionally recorded. At the end of the song Yngwie goes into a fabulous solo. Thanks for posting.
Good Lord ! Performing this song is what must have burnt out Bonnet's voice !!!! Yngwie is unchained here; Awesome playing.
This clip of Yngwie could be used as a modern-day video equivalent of "Portrait of the Artist As a Young Man". Ascending to the height of his powers, for sure. Peace:-)
