now im no new gen gamer, and atari 2600 is my favorite console so dont get me started on graphics, but have you actually played AOE3? its very spectacular. ive been a fan of AOE for a long time and i love the first one, but you have to admit that the second and third games are far better.

I have played AOE3, as well as AOE2. AOE2 was still somewhat great, But I disliked Castles, as they were a pain to destroy. AOE3 ruined it all with the involvement of guns. It ruined the nature of the entire game, and leaned more towards a "Rise of Nations" style of gameplay.

It is my personal preference, but I do infact like AOE the most out of all 3.

the game wasnt versus computer, it was vs Human player...

AI in age of empires games arent very smart... i tried aoe, aoc, aoe3... on age1 i play 7 comps on hardest vs me, aoe3 i put handcap 60%. Anyways the real chalenge is online games.

You can download better AI's for AOE2. It's more programmable than the original was. They still have limitations though and won't beat a good human player. People who write the AI's have made a sport out of fighting them against each other.
