Could you do a lesson about food? Italian food is named differently in Italy. Specially pasta comes in a shitload of variety with amazing names. I'd love to be educated on that. *drools*

Good idea...

We have three episodes taped involving food. When we were in Toronto, we had Grace's mom cook Lasagna, Pizza and Brodo (Soup similar to wedding soup). The Pizza video is going to be the most difficult because we set it up as a "pizza challenge" where she makes her version and I make mine. Now all I have to do is videotape my parts. (That vid has a completion date of March, April or October)

I hope some Italian natives chime in on this...

If I need something, I say, "Ho bisogno qualcosa".

Even in English, there is a thin difference between a "Need" and a "Necessity".

@bowlingballout yeah but when they say ecco cio di avete bisogno, and then they say stabilite che il vostro cane necessiti di un bagno.... why didnt she use the word bisogno?

@danlinkgan "necessitare" and "avere bisogno" are synonims, even though the latter is more common, especially in spoken italian; when you use "avere bisogno" you conjugate onlly the verb "avere"(to have) and add "bisogno" after it.

@bowlingballout Actually, if you use "necessitare", then you have to put a direct object, if you use "Avere bisogno" you need to say "avere bisogno DI qualcosa" .
