I took lessons from Tony when he lived up here in NY. Played with my great uncle's band The Press. Anyone who matters in the Buffalo music scene learned from Tony. Great guy, great talent, class act.
I think he's playing a Gibson 335 but I could be wrong. Whatever he's using, he is amazing. I like other stuff as well, but when I want to be impressed he could take care of that need. Damn. Thanks for posting Druman44 good stuff.
the es-335 has the pickup switch on the lower right bout, not the upper left and has a double cutaway, not a single. good guess though! i think it's one of the Gretsch G series guitars, somehwere in the 5000s, maybe 5220.
You know I noticed that it looked as if it was almost Les Paul looking with the single cut but it had a hollow body and most of the video is dark. I emailed him and if he gets back to me I'll know for sure. He went to G.I.T. where he was voted guitar played of the year and as a part of that he was given a gibson Howard Roberts fusion guitar it could be that one. Anyway Thanks.
Hey I got a reply from Tony. What a nice guy. It is a Les Paul custum he also has a blackmore strat. Playing it through a as he says"Cheap yamaha jazz box (borowed) and a fender devill 4 tens and a pod xt live. That's how he gets his sound.

No that's his Les Paul custom I think it's a Howard Roberts Model. H.R. was a great jazz player and Gibson built it to his specs.

Druman, the piece is called "Cantaloupe Island". And the guitarist is NUTS, man.
