Bought The Funchrusher Plus Casstte three times because I popped the first two!!! Oh the walkman days!!v This album changed my whole worldview and this was my favorite song besides Blind...Wow Freshman year of college remember watching that End To End Burners video and was blown away. Co-Flow made shit that is still next level to me nearly 15 years later (was it really when this album came out - damn!). And that he made this in 94 is crazy! Thank god for youtube!!
@MurderCassette I don't think it is.... I've got that song "Hydra" and there no trace of this sample ...... if they flipped it you should hear the pitch shift on the bassline, and here you don't, the sample turns right.
I ripped this from the vinyl of FP years back (having ordered it from Sandbox Automatic purely to hear this track) and decided to hear for the first time in years today out of the blue... but the quality was so wack! Luckily the net saved the day, mad props
they played this at the beginning of the "8 steps" video, that came out a couple of years later. nineties underground was rediculous and company flow used to be one of my favorite groups, mad original
Holy shit. Thanks so much for this!! Sometimes I wonder if the new kids getting introduced to El-P know how far back and how incredible he use to rip it. I hope they get exposed to and appreciate his Co Flow shit from the into to the outro.
One of the dopest tracks to emerge from the underground. It's amazing hearing El-P back in the day. Straight forward delivery and hard lyrics. Fucking incredible beat. Great hook. Makes me miss the nineties underground. Shit's so overblown down there now.
