  • My sister loves this, and i dont know why

  • Ooh... Beethoven, what's not to love of him? Some of his easier piano works are kind of chunky, but ALL of his compositions are brilliant, absolutely pure genius... oh, I just love him to bits!

  • I listen to this when im faded.

  • Why the 1st comments are about Justin Bieber ? O.O

    Fuck JB ! \:d/

Thumbs up. if you agree me ! <3 :-bd

  • @DanutzzzJurca

You see the irony in that, right? No, I'm not gonna thumb you up. I'm not even gonna report you. Sit in shame and think about what you just did. Thumb-whoring made it even worse.

  • Apparently Beethoven whose hearing had all but disappeared by the time he premiered this symphony had to be turned around to face the audience's rapturous applause as he could hear nothing, and he wept.

  • That's Absolutely Outstanding because he did this symphony when he was completely deaf !

  • @darthvader92 You just dessacrated Beethoven's memory for comparing him with that little girl whose name should not be spoken here.

  • @youtube please would you create justin bieber comments filter for classical music? i really hate this kind of comments. they are in almost every one video. i really don't care about him. simply would like to read what people think of the actutal piece i am listening to. delete this comment afterwards, thanks.

(sort of filtering thing i would like to use pretty much elsewhere, like in account settings?)

  • /watch?v=7MqrBauptrE

  • Also to all people who make comments about any artists that have nothing to do with beethoven especially to those that are so inferior to Him please stop it, abominations like them are only good to be referred in abomination tracks like the ones they make! And i wouldnt know anything about them, not even their existence, if you never talked about them!!!

  • there some discontinuation due to the change of videos and also it's not allowed to be played in a playlist, idk why! couldnt you post it in the whole or at least in a way that wont break the movements into pieces?

  • Oh jesus people are still talking about Justin Bieber? Sure he's old news but he still doesnt fall into Beethoven's catagory.

  • I am listening to this while emotionally scarring myself. Wish this ole' veck some luck.

  • @0revolutionary good luck whatever it is your doing....wait if its illegal i don't condone it :)

  • Beiber: who listens to classicals any waaahaay

looks like chubacca wiped his A__ on your head

Bethoven: let me giv u a music lesson, as boch i got more cock than smith and weston

  • It's quite annoying that in every video you make always the same "funny" comments about Justin Bieber...

  • justin bieber is in a whole different category from beethoven. beethoven is a classic music artist that created music from pure knowledge of harmony and sound. he didn't have the luxury of hearing music, he just created it. justin bieber is a "new age" artist who doesn't know anything about classic music and probably doesn't know how to even write notes and create music, apart from maybe writing lyrics. he just has a cute young voice and his parents had a lot of money to put him out there :D

  • @sheboman19 actually Justin Bieber was kinda poor before all the fame, he made it this far because he HAS talent, btw shut up if you dont know anything about it.

  • ENOUGH ABOUT BIEBER.

I wouldn't have known who the hell Bieber was if not for people never shutting up about him on YouTube. So, yeah, thanks a lot.

  • @Nyxiebunny So fucking true!!!

  • i'm listening to this because of the epic rap battles :P

  • @SoFarAway6661 Good for you im here because i have freedom of choice and wanted to. Why would anyone care if you got here from epic rap battles? Tell me who did you honestly think would care.

  • @Padgeify I commented because I have freedom of speech. Like wow, never knew such a harmless comment could effect someone so much.

  • 62 people dont like this. hmm somthing must be wrong with them.

  • @dilizblack they want attention or are ....ill bite me tongue.

  • I have this song because i have the soundtrack of the movie "A Clockwork Orange" in my itunes...

  • This is one very "terrible" video. =p

  • @armorgamsees because i used to watch them together all the time; enjoy Stanley Kubrick's inspiration and what certainly should have been song #1 on The Golden Record, sent out to space.

  • worldwide flow

  • Clockwork orange brought me here :I

  • "The best recording of Beethoven's 9th I've heard till now."

I believe in Feb. 24th he will release something more cool.

  • I believe it is an abomination to make any mention of Justin Bieber in the presence of a Beethoven symphony

  • @Lordofthepastries

Tell me about it! Wish everyone would shut up about him. It's beacuse I saw his name all over these vids that I know who he is in the first place!

  • @Lordofthepastries thts because ppl watched the video about the rap battle on epic rap battles of history

  • @Lordofthepastries you just did it yourself

  • @Lordofthepastries and yet you mention him! o.O

  • @Lordofthepastries If only I had the ability to press the like button more than once. If I could, i would probably break my left mouse button.

  • I got here from listening to Dry Lagoon from Sonic The Hedgehog.

  • Chuck Norris can play this song with one violin string

  • Is there a specific name for this piece alone (I assume it isn't CALLED the 9th Symphony)?

  • @ViewtifulRaoul

Actually it IS really called 9th Symphony, but its last movement is commonly called "Ode to Joy".

  • see the complete version...

    youtube.com/watch?v=EmV35VPRT9s

  • Ah. Just what I needed to make it a perfect evening. A bit of the old Ludwig Van.

  • Actually I like metal and I am studiyng music, I don't think this is boring or for old people, you only need to undertand it, as metal, this kind of music has a meaning, deep and strong.

  • i like death metal, rap, classical, heavy, rock and a little bit of pop...

ppl needs to understand that good music can be found in almost every genre instead of being so narrow minded that they refuse to even try to listen to other genres.

  • @NullErbamser

It is said that music is the food of soul. If so, rap, heavy metal and other junk is junk food. Different music has different effects. Some uplifts, some degrades. I like, depending on my mood, classical, some older rock, older-style county, broadway musicals, some popular. But I try not to feed my soul, my true, self, junk. I am discrimnating, not narrow-mined. Best is the inner spiritual music of higher plains of consciousness accessed thru meditation.

  • @vancor2000

    can't agree more.

listening to people bellow into their mics like it's the end of the world can't really do you any good. what with the combination of noise, sex and violence in common heavy metal, i doubt what a mentally healthy individual can get out of it.

  • @vancor2000 this is yet the most intelligent answer i have ever seen on youtube.

thank you, and i agree with what you said

  • @vancor2000 death metal and other more aggressive forms of metal can be good food for the soul, you simply see it that way because I assume you don't see the value in it or appreciate it. Ever thought of metal as a way of relieving anger, instead of flaming it? Not all metal songs are doom/gloom, many of them are focused on self-empowerment and individualism - both very good things for ones "soul". Everyone should try and break down their preconceptions of music - enjoy everything for what it is

  • @jbvistvchannels Quiet, young one. There are adults trying to enjoy things.

  • @jbvistvchannels without Beethoven and the other classical musicians there would be no rock

what about malmsteem he plays Bach in a rock style, he is probably one of the greatest electric guitarist alive.

Classical music was the foundation of almost all music without it we would have to listen to rap instead of rock

  • fuck THIS SHIT U OLD BITCHES LISTEN TO ZEPPLIN CAUSE THIS SHIT IS BORING

  • extraordinario !! me encanto

  • Harkulade

  • this just shows real music lasts forever

  • see the complete version...

    youtube.com/watch?v=EmV35VPRT9s

  • wow, he wrote this when he was deaf ... O.O

  • Wow

  • Umm I'm here from epic rap battles of history

  • First seconds*... HOLLY SHIT AM I DEAF LIKE LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • Beethoven went to an oracle and the oracle said that after more than hundred years in the future a boy named Justin Bieber will be born and with his gay voice he will annoy the whole world . The oracle also predicted that Beethoven will be alive by then and so Beethoven wished to be deaf and his wish came true .

  • @MegaFreshFood that's why he wished to commit suicide when he was losing his hearing...because he asked it from the oracle!

  • @MegaFreshFood ... and then The Oracle said that nicepeter was going to make a beethoven vs justin bieber rap, and beethoven would win. and it became true! :)

  • tengo 13 años y quiero comprarme unn violin

  • Wow, look at me, I'm only 13 and I listen to classical music and hate conventional pop music, how fucking special am I?!

    *sarcasm*

  • @andytom2495 I started listen classical music earlier than u;)

  • I had an arrow in my knee, but I was cured alright

  • @MsLankyman 5th symphony I believe

  • Why you be dissin dubstep? I sampled beethoven in my latest track.(I hate newfags which thinks dubstep is only "WAWWAWAWBLIPBLIPwuwuwBAPABAP" -.- I make dat mellow dank fucking low freq bass shit motherfucker. YEAYH! xD also sampled Mozart for my latest hip hop beat :)

    Classical music's the shit u know :D

  • wich 1 goes dan dan dan da

  • @MsLankyman 5th... it was my best Beetho's symphony as a kid, but of course that was before i hear 9th

  • It's a sin! Using Ludwig van like that. He did no harm to anyone. Beethoven just wrote music.

  • @JudeBarrett Son, what's all this about sin?

  • Not bad, a bit rushed though.

  • 08:14 - Build up and Recapitulation :D

  • @whneo97 8:24 drumssss

  • @TK2008BEST Timpani in D tremolo to be exact.

  • 06:08 - Build up and Fugue :D

  • The first minute is pure bliss.

  • Interesting tidbit ... Tim Jefferson, Air-Force's record setting quarterback listens to Beethoven Symphony No. 9 before games.

  • Este é o hino da paz e da alegria entre os homens, de boa vontade.

Mais do que isto é apenas falácia.

  • this is the only soundtrack in my playlist :P

  • Dirtier than unicorns ass after eating rainbows.

    Totally appropriate comment.

    Dafuq?

  • I like Mozart better! YEAH! I said it :/

  • I take it the entire piece, the entire 9th Symphony, is more than just 9 or 10 minutes? Daamn!

  • @HolyRoller478 see the entire 9th Symphony in my channel...

    youtube.com/watch?v=EmV35VPRT9s

  • @HolyRoller478 It's 1 hour and 5 minutes. ;) around there.

  • @KaaziSemaj did you say you're 2 years old!?

  • @mmm4466 He was being sarcastic...

  • 9th Symphony (all in one)

    youtube.com/watch?v=EmV35VPRT9s

  • It's 2:24 am now i just started the playlist and my goal for right now is to listen to them all!!! >:O

  • This reminds me of 'Equilibrium', when Preston listens for the first time music. Too much emotion...

  • I like to play this out loud on my phone, sat at the back of the bus. Because I'm a Maverick!

  • @ilovehoa21 i feel the exact same way! lol

  • @benja1235 (: Thank you for being the only person replying positively to my comment! (:

  • @ilovehoa21 why would i not? You didnt write anything negative! :-)

  • @benja1235 Thanks!(: xD

  • too strong, nerf irelia

  • @michaellenguyen Redirected, nerfed Evelynn to the point of the absolute value of uselessness, she is now incredibly OP.

  • i used to perform symphonys, then i took an arrow to the knee

  • Only Nadia (me) can love classical music and dubstep and be only 12.

  • @ilovehoa21 Is your comment supposed to prove some kind of point of, "Oh I'm twelve (derp) and I can listen to modern music while still liking bits and pieces of well-known classical music (derp)"? If it is, its not working.

  • @CrazyLazySnazzyJazzy

what kind of jerk reads a silly post by a 12 yr old and feels as if they have to critically analyse it? its like watching a troll in famine try to eat dirt.

  • @mattbox87 You do realize I'm 12 years old myself. Oh, of course not, because you also feel the need to jump to conclusions when reading comments on Youtube. I just get sick and tired of seeing my peers self-righteously come out saying how "special" they are because of the music they listen to, the movies the watch, or the books they read. That is all.

  • @CrazyLazySnazzyJazzy Pride should be displayed with discretion if not at all eh?

  • @LamentationsEnd Exactly.

  • @CrazyLazySnazzyJazzy I didn't say I was 'special'. I was saying that I can listen to varieties of music. And because you're sick and tired of seeing your peers doing things like this, doesn't mean you have to go to some random person and start hating on them. Find something better to do. Thank you.(:

  • @mattbox87 Thanks... Kind of... (:

  • @CrazyLazySnazzyJazzy I didn't need a reply (derp).

  • @ilovehoa21 oh baby don't think you're sooooo special

  • @Lifeandflute Um, I don't, and I don't need your reply. By the way, learn proper English please.

  • @ilovehoa21 Dubstep is for morons and stoners. Neither can truly appreciate any type of music.

  • @grizleymidget i admit, i listen to dubstep and no, i am not a moron and certainly not a stoner. I feel that someone who is truly open can enjoy all types of music. This song gives me chills in the same way that a really good skrillex song can. Its not about the genre, its the passion and feeling in the song that you sense while listening. You shouldn't make such broad characterizations in the future.

  • @allyalexlexi Your feeling is wrong. I will do whatever I please

  • @allyalexlexi Eloquently said!

  • if u like this then your'll love Spirited Away OST - One Summer's Day (Oboe Vers. It is much more peaceful though-be forewarned

    oooo

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAESTRO!

  • I used to like dubstep, then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • @anonymusIsABeast You fucking nerd.

  • @anonymusIsABeast I used to like dubstep, but then I took music to my ear.

  • @anonymusIsABeast don't you mean a Beethoven to the ear?

  • @anonymusIsABeast Proof that a majority thinks dubstep is total shit.

  • @ProfessionalManlyMan You are a total fucking retard

  • @anonymusIsABeast How do you figure?

  • Comment removed

  • @anonymusIsABeast good for you

  • A quote from Beethoven, (paraphrasing) directed at one of his critics. "You fool! What I defecate is better than anything you can dream up!"

  • Hearing this live in a concert hall is like dying, and being reborn

  • If rather listen to his symphony 3

  • this and the Karajan 79' are prob the 2 best overall versions ever put on disc. I would like to recommend for this first movement alone, an unlikely alternative: Christopher Hogwoods furious recording. Crank it up loud and the paint will likely start flaking off your walls.

  • What orchestra is this?

  • There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs...

  • Ahh, if it isn't our old friend, Ludwig van.

  • @BRexxors

Indeed, if it isn't our friend. One of our truest

  • @BRexxors Lovely, lovely Ludwig...

  • So devine the music flows wonderfully out placing the listener into a comfortable, surreal state of mind.

  • LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN (1770-1827)

But we still listening to you.

  • Pure genius

  • bellissimo

  • THERES A CROWD OF MILLIONS WAITIN TO HEAR MY SIMPHONIES YOU WANA BE A LITTLE WHITE USHER? HERE SHOW EM TO THEIR SEATS!!

  • @capuyoloco you spelled symphonies wrong

  • @lavaseal my mistake

  • @capuyoloco I JUST GOT BACK FROM THAT VIDEO but i truly do love this music BUT INTERNET HIGH FIVE!!!

  • i want his hair

  • @AhhMostter i have is hair :P

  • This music was made for finals studying/

  • ill never understand people who downvote this

  • i love this man

  • more views then bieber...bieber got pwned

  • @AcroCro1998 please dude... this is beethoven, would you please shut up about JB with the music of a legend.

  • @AcroCro1998 Who cares about that little twat. Unlike him, least Beethoven is a musical mastermind, legend and genius.

Can that little brat say the same thing? Uh... no.

  • i happen to be a moth.

  • Great recording!! Thanks!

  • Amaazing..! Realy good to hear it while I study :-)

  • @Jehansh2121 Why don't you listen to the Titanic Symphony while you study?

  • I'm 13, yes I don't like pop music, I'm not your conventional young teenager but at no costs am I ashamed to say that I would pick this over mainstream music any day, Beethoven actually expresses depth into his work, he didn't write a cluster of words on a piece of paper and name it something cliché like 'I'm sexy and I know it' god, I hate the 21st century.

  • @EmptyWordsOfSolitude

lol man ur so wrong yet so right!

  • @EmptyWordsOfSolitude I'm 2, yes I don't like Thomas the tank engine, I'm not your conventional young toddler but at no costs am I ashamed to say that I would pick this over Thomas the tank engine and "Row row row your boat" any day, Beethoven actually expresses depth into his work, he didn't write a cluster of words on a piece of paper and name it something cliché like, "The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round", god I hate the 21st centuary

  • @KaaziSemaj Yay, good for you.

  • @KaaziSemaj I love the 21st century. 1905 was the year of the greatest scientific papers, the 1910's to 1920's was the formulation of the foundation of quantum mechanics, the 1940's showed us the reality of the theories, and so on.

  • @asdfuogh Um that was the 20th century

  • @MaximusClaw Well, damn. I hate myself. :)

Um... we have the introduction of viable spintronics, maybe, possibly the introduction of formulated, organized complexity science?, and... um. Well, shit, just give us a few more decades!

  • @KaaziSemaj i have yet to exist, and i am proud to say that i have no idea whats going on... what is a "21st centurary"?

  • Glad to see people still listening to this sublime music

  • is this a karaoke version?

  • Superbe

  • I accidentally played Mozart's "Dies Irae" somewhere around 0:35. It was awesome.

  • While we're on our high horse of classical music lets not forget that that every century has pop music.

  • this sharpens me up for a bit of the old ultra-violence.

  • it goes good with balla

  • Beethoven is so badass

  • Comment removed

  • I thought this would be the only music video on youtube where justin biebers name WASNT mentioned.....you people disgust me...

  • Why the fuck is the shall go unnamed being talked about on here. Come ON people!
