A 90$/600kr (it costs that much in sweden) Mora knife is nothing but a joke!!. My advice would be to buy a Mora 2000,a firesteel (army model) and a Fällkniven dc4 stone for 72$/480kr or if you choose to go with a Mora companion model even less.
Good review otherwise...you`re not to blame for Mora of Swedens hybris :)
I got my wife and I a cheap Mora. Its starting to get pits. Any suggestions? The sheath is not good, but my wife is going to make a leather one for em. The sheath does not fit on belts easily, too thin of a place for the belt and what goes around the belt is too thin. It looks like it is going to break. But for the price I dont expect much. The knife has a nice big grip area. I wanted the 2000. I liked how it was wider for batoning. Have to leaern how to harvest pitch when I move to Oregon.
@pipeheadOR Hi in what way and were is it starting to get pits? I keep my knives oiled when I am not using them it helps. I also use a polishing past and a slow drill buff. Gets a nice shine on the knife and it also helps to keep the knife smooth. If it is on the bevel a japanese waterstone or you can also use a 1000 grit wet sandpaper makes them very sharp and shiny.
@pipeheadOR As for the sheath they are not the best and do not fit all belts but if it is a closed one and your belt is to thick for the loop. You heat the plastic with a hair dryer and the stick a ruler or somthing like that trough the loop and leave it there till the plastic has cooled down that will make it wide.
@ungnaturkraft Absolutely Adrian. Linköping isn't really "runt knuten" from Idre but shout if you are going to be in the vicinity and I will do likewise.

@pipeheadOR Sometimes it is easier just to use them as a neckknife with some cord.
