  • Why did he throw the world's shittiest flying knee against "the master of leg locks"? That was just bad strategy right there.

  • what do you know, Jorge Gurgle sucks on both the feet and the ground. loses to a japcan. you fucking suck dick gurle.

  • 2:00 ...AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH LOL

  • @steadifilm You're bad.

  • this is a kind of mediocrity fighter whose, the only they have is leg locks...

  • @steadifilm LOL @ mediocrity. He made his foe YELP like a little girl. That's how submissions should be done.

  • @steadifilm Why would he need anything else when he is capable of making his opponent tap in 40 seconds? Mediocrity my ass. He's a fucking MASTER. This wasn't a lucky move, he's known for his leg locks.

  • he and rousimar palhares are my heros heel hooks for the win

  • @sumoshinobi I second that. And Ken Shamrock too. Not too many fighters can humiliate Bas Rutten and make him scream.

  • @Strongboy1770 yeah but i hate how people now bash ken because he is out of his prime prime ken could have beaten anyone

  • @Strongboy1770 Thats when bas was an in-experienced grappler, it wasn't until after that did Bas decide to work more on his ground game...

  • nice heelhook

  • imanari is a very angry man. Probably in more than half on his victories he has injured someones leg.

  • @AudienceKiller66

Escaping the position after 1:57 is next to impossible. Inside heel hooks like this one is extremely dangerous. You have to tap to the position. What would you have him do. Let people out of submission??

  • @ThePainFactoryCom I don't know what this has to do with me.

  • @AudienceKiller66

Sorry I thought that you were implying that Imanari, was an agree man and perhaps was hurting people because of that.

  • What is the shitty paper board the winner raised at the end ???

  • This absolutely shredded Gurgel's knee. By the time he was on the Ultimate Fighter show, season 1, he was fighting with no soft tissue in his knee. It was just bone on bone.

  • @vincent8er yeah man, Marine martial arts are extremely weak. They think they're tough cause they just got a crash course in the most basic of martial arts. They get to full of themselves. I have a friend in the marines. I crushed him in about 15 seconds. Takedown, mount, armbar. Perfect technique lol. Now I'm teaching him.

  • @AudienceKiller66 If the Marine learned and improved his game, that's what it's about. Besides, in your world he got his ass kicked, but in his world you'd probably be dead.

  • @Strongboy1770 Oh yeah, he could improve his game. But I'm also pretty sure him and I are living on the same world, and living in the same country where all the rules are the same. I still win.

  • SAMBO/SOMBO

  • that was amazing

  • heel hook was it not?

  • Does anyone know the name of Imanaris walk out music?

  • that dude was screaming for his life before he tapped out!!!

  • Man, if Imanari even grabs a hold of your leg just tap, you're not winning that encounter.

  • this is the most wierd and dangerous style i ve ever seen in mma. HE DO NOT THROW PUNCHES. and just runs towards those craking legs

  • @mashitn1 It might be wierd but it fucking works dosen't it? LOL

  • M.I is an animal!

    Smart, focused and determined.

Awesome fighter, I envey his techniques.

  • The thing is that the human structure is essentially made so that from specific postures, given training it's nearly invincible. If you try to just punch a brick and break it you'll fail. But if you take the time to devote yourself to it then you could even break 20 bricks. Some men have wrestled elephants or bulls. These men learned to use their body in a strong and natural way. Martial arts are also made to destroy the enemy's bodily structure as well.

  • Bad chokes have to come into the equation too, as well as the "unchokable" people. A lot of people with thicker necks don't really choke well because muscle is essentially padding built into your body.

  • I'm not saying he is tough, just that it did happen. Obviously I don't have proof, so if you don't believe it, then that's your decision. There is a lot of proof of the 3 second choke out though. The fact of the matter is that, obviously, it's almost impossible to achieve in a real fight, however it will still kill you if a choke is held for sometimes not even 10 seconds after you pass out.

  • I don't think that's true, I think that it's around a minute or so before you get choked to death.

  • ben henderson lasted a lifetime getting choked in a guillotine by donald cerrone and lived.

  • That's only with specific training targeted for that purpose, and even then the longest you could buy is an extra few seconds. A perfect blood choke will stop all blood flow instantly.

And the 40 pounds thing was tested by a friend of mine who's now a marine. They had a friend whose bones were 100% calcium...as in, the bones couldn't get stronger. His elbow joint broke at 40 pounds of force.

  • The limits of the human structure don't change. The length of limbs and therefore max possible leverage and therefore max possible force that can be put out by those limbs changes, and muscles get stronger, but no one's brain can keep working the same without blood for any longer than anyone else's, except with incredible levels of training.

  • Did you hear that bitch roar? Imanari's the man. Gurgel got owned!

  • it`s Jorge Gurgel not Gugel and he has shit on Imanari

  • Joji.. GAAAAGEEERUUU!!

    LOL

  • what a prestigious award!!!

  • ive been watching some of video's of thise Japanese fighter, his "ashi kansetsu waza " leg lock , looks very easy but it must be very difficult to performe it again and again on strong fighters too .Olympic Judoka's must love to performe your technique. My deep respct .

  • lol at the trance music at the end. thats got to suck to listen to that after losing like that, ahah

  • HAHAHA YESSS I HATE GURGEL

  • so do I he is fuckin worthless

  • fuck was that gurgel screaming at 2.01? if so jesus man, thats the kinda scream you hear from a horror movie, Someone stated before that imanari is a dick because he applies full on pressure with his heel hooks and shows no mercy which i guess i can understand as you are in a fight, but jesus man...ive seen other people pull off heel hooks, get the tap and not have their opponent scream like that.

  • Cool sign me up i want a broken leg! or my foot twisted backwards.

  • wow, man that must fuk up your carreer prospects!

  • I think I could beat Imanari. I'm a double amputee, what would he do against me?! (kind of hoping they don't allow soccer kicks, lol)

  • The most horrible submission.

  • I am absolutely petrified of heel hooks... break my arm with a kimura, but don't put me in a heel hook

I mean, Gurgel's jiu jitsu was never the same after this fight because of the injuries he sustained from that split second of pressure.

  • Amen. With an arm, it's pressure, pain, break. With a heel hook, it's tear/break, pressure, pain. I loathe them. Unless I'm using them lol

  • eeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

    kimura breaks the shoulder

    eeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • That will show you how painful and destructive they are if I prefer them any day over heel hooks. Gurgel had total reconstructive surgery on his knee after this fight, and the pressure was applied for a split second.

  • with kneebars u dnt feel any pain until ur knee is about to break.. no pain jus snap

and heel hooks are tha most dangerous submission and by farrrrr tha most painful

  • Wrong (personal experience, kthxbai) and wrong. Do you know how much pressure it takes to break an elbow joint? Exactly 40 pounds on the joint will snap it. The crucifix neck crank utilizes pressure from the entire body for the submission and can snap the neck like a twig. Imanari has a leg lock that bends the knee as if in a kimura or americana. For a regular person, 3 seconds in an absolutely perfect blood choke will put them out and much longer than 10 seconds can kill someone.

  • why are heel hooks so dangerous

  • They'll fuck your knee up. They go from not hurting to hurting and about to break in very little time with little pressure.

  • Yup. You can feel it a bit in the ankle, but before it snaps all you feel is an ominous twisting/separating feeling in your knee.

  • i can tell from this post that you've been kneebarred many times.

    NOT.

kneebars are incredibly painful before any damage is done.

  • amazing :)

  • Damn. Gurgel sounded like he just saw Cthilhu rising out of Rlyeh.

  • why imanari isn't waering gloves?

  • He can decide to not use them, but he only can strike with the open hand if he is not using them.

  • P'WND!

  • Jeorge Grugel is an idiot because why would you offer your leg up to a leg lock specialist in Masakazu Imanari at the begining of the fight because that is like waveing a red rag to a bull IMO Lol

  • This was early in Imanari's career.. I doubt Gugel knew anything about him

  • this guy has to be the most dangerous lightweight out there. He is not the most well rounded fighter but he can catch anyone with one of these leglocks if they are not careful. Very scary dude...

  • agree, one of the best leg locks master. just wish he could improve on his stand ups.. will be hard to beat after that

  • Lol daaaamn if Imanari had great striking he would be a beast.

  • He's a beast without it.

  • Gurgel should have tapped but he was stubborn. He let his pride blind his reason.

But even though he made that mistake, You shouldn't talk shit about him unless you've had your leg popped by a heel hook.

That move is very dangerous. It is even outlawed in some submission tournaments.

  • Have you ever tried wristlocks?

  • They work but people don't respect them enough to tap. Kinda like ankle locks. The hand's more mobile too, so they're a little harder to catch.

  • it sounds like Gugel screams after Imanari throws that last leglock on...

  • That fight is the definition of OWNED

  • How do you practice something like that WITHOUT HURTING YOUR TRAINING PARTNER?????

  • catch and release and having training partners without ego.

  • LMFAO at 1.31 where he just kinda slings him.

  • i'd like to hear how you'd react to getting your knee torn out

  • Seriously

  • Ruined.

  • Who cares what race the fucking fighters are? Just watch it and stop making stupid ass racist assumptions.

  • imanari ruined gurgel's career. ouch.

  • How did he ruin Gurgels career? Gurgel fought and won the other day against Halverson in UFC!

  • Nice match, Imanari's lack of gloves must help with setting in subs.

  • In ZST, you don't have to wear gloves. However if you don't wear them, you aren't allowed to punch with a closed fist.

  • Hopefully, Jorge's heel just popped. But sweet Jesus, if this isn't a reason to learn and drill leg locks, then I don't know what is.

  • damn that looked painful

  • It's not Imanari's fault if his idiot opponents try and fight out of the heel hook.

You never fight out of a heel hook, not if your smart. if it's locked in, tap and save your damn leg.

  • Especially if it's Imanari who has you in that lock.

  • Gurgel is Brazilian .....( Sigh ).... Retard

  • we are all people that bleed the same blood type not ASIAN POWER or WHITE POWER its PEOPLE POWER!

  • To aquashaolin33: Jorge Gurgel is not white, moron. He is hispanic. Try not to feel too dumb for your ignorance now.

  • well thats too bad, im sure masakazus a little more honorable than you and respects a good fighter weather they lose or not you faggot racist cock smoker

  • You moron, Gurgel is hispanic, and he's a BJJ black belt, I'm very sure that he would have encountered a Heel Hook before now

  • If Brazilians are considered Hispanic, then yes, he would be considered Hispanic. But being Hispanic is an ethno-cultural signifier, not a racial one. So Jorge could be considered white, and still be Hispanic.

  • preach on!

  • No wonder gurgel had knee problems on TUF 2

  • to fight him..i would prolly cutt of my legs..better chance of winning imo

  • If I was going to fight Imanari I would oil my legs out of fear. K-1 would let me do it!

  • How many knees has this guy destroyed? I know he broke Mike Brown's and Jorge Gugel's.

  • If I remember correctly he broke Mike Browns hip joint not his knee. Still the leg is screwed either way.

  • NOw he nearly broke JEAn Silva's knee, he defended the cage rage featherweight title, watch it on dailymotion

  • For the people debating the whole Imanari cranking the leglocks thing. I own his Super Grappling "Master of Leglocks" instructional. He demonstrates all of his techniques to CRANK the heel until the person taps, if their knee pops it's their fault. Me personally, the second Imanari got anywhere near my legs I'd be tapping.

  • Haha same here, if he even gets a hold of a toe ill tap like a mad man

  • i like cats

  • and dogs but not as much

  • wow animalistic

  • Barf

  • What a jerk, I understand that you take risks when fighting in MMA but to break someones knee and hear that person let out an ear wrenching scream and just stand up and say YEAH! I hope someone gets him in a submission and cranks before he has the time to tap!

  • Imanari had the heelhook locked on tight,Gurgel refused to tap and tried to escape by turning to his belly,he didn't escape and Imanari put more pressure on the knee until it popped. Is it Imanari's fault that Gurgel didn't tap? They're professional fighters and know that a heelhook is a very dangerous submission, wich doesn't take a lot of strength and is devastating to the knee.Should Imanari hold back and not crank it with full force so that Gurgel has time to realize he's not getting out?

  • It's not Imanari's job to babysit other fighters. If you don't want to tap out to a heelhook, then live with the consequences.I would've tapped out the moment I felt it locked on tight.Gurgel knew his leglocks were dangerous this. Why didn't he tap?Imanari didn't want to break his knee,he wanted him to tap.He didn't so Gurgel broke his own knee.Maybe Imanari shouldn't yell out 'yeah' when he won the fight, but this isn't the first knee he popped and he just won the match.

  • man that guy squirmed pretty bad, felt real painful

  • By the way he breaks Gurgel's knee in this one and puts him out for a good couple months and it still hasn't fully healed. HAHA! Imanari should fight Gurgel in the UFC.

  • ufc is for gays pride for all way

  • Well, then Gurgel should fight him in Pride. Doesn't matter to me but I do like Pride FC a bit more than the UFC.

  • nice... imanari has got some sick leg locks...

  • Yup. He breaks Gurgel's Knee in this one which would later lead to Gurgel tearing his ACL and MCL shortly after he removed the cast. Imanari in short, has crippled Gurgel in a minimal way because to this Day Gurgel still complains about that knee that Imanari broke.

  • damn

  • dammnnnnnnnnn
