  • No song on Earth sounds like this. It's not punk, it's not metal, it's not rock. It's... The Damned. Can I get some thumbs up, please?

  • Just saw them at the black cat in dc great show

  • The Pistols, Well they were a 1970's X factor outfit put together by MM. The Clash were always a "lets change with the times band" (i liked them, however there were signs on "London Calling" that change was afloat) The Damned however stuck to the traditional punk rock music, and although I'm actually a bigger SLF fan, I LOVED THE DAMNED!!!

  • @monocromeman There were signs of change afloat in Phantasmagoria too, indeed The Damned turns goth in it. There were less diferences between "Police & Thieves" and Rock the casbah", for example, than "Neat Neat Neat" and "Grimly Fiendish"

Anyway The Damned are one of the best bands ever. All of they do, they do great.

  • I love this song! gives me a adrenaline rush. I was lucky to see them and it was one of the most amazing shows I have ever seen. the cap had his balls all swing in the air.

  • 3:12 best guitar dive bomb i've ever heard.. fucking brilliant capt.

  • The most underrated punk band of that era. I still don't know why they never really caught on in America. Another great English band that didn't make it in the states was the Ruts. I believe they had two number one singles in England.

  • always a great classic to throw on for any mood!

  • gonna see the damned in august with the stranglers. cant wait

  • @sjFALCONPUNCH01 Just yesterday I found myself wondering if they were still together and performing. Good to know they are.

  • When this was released, the Sex Pistols were long over with, Sid was dead, The Clash were doing some awful funk reggae superstar shit but the Damned still kept on putting out great songs like this. Though I like the Pistols and the Clash, the Damned need recognition for that.

  • @brickmaster01 Light the fuse I must Ignite I'm gonna set the world alight.

  • @brickmaster01 You could say they kept it ignited, haha worst joke ever!!!

  • @brickmaster01 i agree the damned need recognition for that fact but not all of the clash reggae stuff was rubbish some of it was actually quite good, not their best, but still good

  • F*ing AWESOME lead guitar Captain! I saw you lot at least 4 tomes in the 80s. Still sounds brilliant today.

  • 'times' I meant...

  • @salvadory indeed. Too close to call I feel. Nibbled to death by an okapi!

  • No it doesn't

  • 04:40 Why I don't eat them. Too likeable.

  • Was at the same concert, it was 82 i think. The support act was a southern band called Charge who didn't go down very well if I recall correctly...but the dancing nuns were very good!
