It looked like the rollbar failed when he hit the catch-fence. The picture at the beginning of the video shows the car sliding upside down without it. He hit the wall at 200mph and there's just no way to build for that. RIP Dan, you will be missed.

When you see the accident in real-time, he's the last car appearing to fly into the wall, and it's clearly the most violent of the impacts, since he was traveling towards it at a more acute angle than Will Power for example who flew into the fence just ahead. Either way, this crash was horrific and will probably impact the series. 225mph in open-wheel cars 3 abreast inches apart, 34 on a 1.5M track? A recipe for disaster.
