Can I please watch a video about Christ without having to see discussions about homosexuality? Can we please elevate Christ above petty arguments about homosexuality and abortion? He has much more to say than that.
@koberask The penalty for some sin in the old testament was death, but we have been redeemed, God's wrath was appeased on the cross, now the penalty for sin is spiritual death if we refuse to repent of it. Thank God we have grace, but we can't take advantage of grace, we still have to deal with the sin in our life or else it will corrupt us and lead us back into the mess we come out of before salvation. God is love, but he is a God of Justice as well.
@koberask how can you on one hand tell me to listen to Jesus and to let my heart guide me through the scripture, after telling me that the bible is corrupted? lol...Jesus words happen to be in the book you are saying is corrupted. Sounds like to me you need to get your head out of these books of "men" and get it in the word of God. God hates homosexuality as well as pride, it never says he hated anyone. We have been reconciled to the Father through the work on the cross.
@koberask and as far as the old testament is concerned, in 1946 we discovered the dead sea scrolls, which was older than the manuscripts we used to originally translate the old testament, and after we translated the older manuscripts it was found that there were no flaws except for maybe a few misspellings. Both manuscripts matched, proving that our current bible did not get flawed in translation and was not changed.
@koberask wow!...you better do some research there, the new testament scriptures were in existence long before the catholic church and long before the council of nicea(which had nothing to do with voting on our canon of scripture). We have enough writings of some of the earliest church fathers (that were right after the apostles 2nd and 3rd century) who quoted so much of the new testament letters that we could virtually compile the entire new testament based on their writings alone.
I believe the church should stick with the gospel for the purpose of seeing people saved, instead of trying to mix politics in with it. I'll be honest I don't really think their is a left or right, i think it's to side of the same coin with the same agenda. This whole left and right paradigm is false and is diving christians and the church world.
@homelesspoet "Saved" from what? Do a little research on your own, and learn what the greek work "sozo" really means. It will change your thinking. Blessings....
@tracydickerson to save a suffering one (from perishing)to deliver from the penalties of the Messianic judgment --The NAS New Testament Greek Lexicon.
@tracydickerson jesus came to seek and save that which was lost. Save from what you say? From the penalty of sin, death, spiritual death, lake of fire. Its there in the infallible word of God. Let me guess....you think the bible is what you want it to be, its been misinterpreted yadayada. If you don't accept the bible as being infallible, then your wasting your time,
@tracydickerson I don't buy into the Brian McClarens and the emergents who are questioning the truth of scripture. Ill trust my soul with the Spirit of God not man, who twist scripture to fit their agends.
