@colonel24567 Myouren Hijiri is Byakuren's brother. He was originally supposed to be the final boss of UFO, but ZUN decided differently in the end.

B) A story with some legitimate sadness in it. I'd like to hear a theme like this in the game, it's quite melancholy.

I've heard that ZUN originally intended for him to be the last boss in UFO but scraped it because he didn't want an old man shooting Danmaku in a series where the casts are predominantly female.

Would've been interesting to see the first male character engage in a danmaku battle.

@cardboardsnail In Touhou 1, there was Shingyokou, who was a group of priests. A MALE and a female. So there has been a male danmaku fight ^^
