scott kalitta is one of my fav drivers and my name is scott and seing tht little kid crying made me sad he was a grate guy he raced verry well and it must be more special to u because u talked to him that mornin ;(
He's an example of how to live life! With GUSTO! ;) He LIVED what most DREAM. How much fear stops us! Certainly me. I'd rather LIVE & die younger; than just exisit &die older! You? I'm not asking for judgements on his life. I'm asking about the IDEA. How many of us, would just like to move to some exotic place, our idea of nivana? Go to school? Really do it. Adjust expenses, find a WAY! Talk to someone we admire, take a chance? The world judges our actions, we, our intentions. ACT
It's consoling to know that he was so happy before the race! "It's a beautiful day!" Thank you for documenting that piece of time.It adds alot. I think it enabled you to express the shock after the occurence as well.
Today IS the most important day of our life, it's all we have, today. One day, it WILL be the last. Here.
The consistaint reports from Near Death Experiences, N.D.E.'s as some call it, talk about being "thrown out of your body" when it's sudden. But they ALL talk about bliss.
THIS IS the #1 video made on Scott Kalitta's fatality. The best close-up shots of an accident that was so fast. Best music. Expresses that "Jones" we all eventually have when we loose someone we love. Pics particularly well placed with lyrics as well. Shows the shock and saddness of the event too. The one at 0.31 is not the most professinal pic but I dare say the most intamite. Makes you feels like you were there. Fab depiction of his life too! Nice job. I reserve compliments for those I mean.
@tedmon11 It's a risk, but it is life. Either die not doing what you love and take no risk, or die doing exactly what you love in life. That's the question we should all ask ourselves. It's up to his ownself to decide, but it's still sad when someone with so many fans dies in front of everyone. We should all however, look at it as happiness for Scott, He dies doing what he loves, and that's what counts.
Eventually; you, I, every single person on this planet:
WILL LOOSE every single person
that you, I, they; love.
Either they die or you do. It's enevatable.
I believe, it's bliss. We move on.
I think that Scott Kalitta was doing what he loved, than the next second was in the bliss of his Heavenly Fathers arms and all those he'd "lost" up to that point.
I used to think, people were "struck" dead. I prayed that no one I loved would be "struck", maybe from your "God of Death."
Sad molment to EVER see I would never have exspected to see that day. Scott Kalitta was an idel to so many people. May he rest in peace. My love and thuoghs go to the family and his friends!
shit happenes, but it happenes for a reason. the sad thing is, me and my dad watched him practiceing on tv a few days earlier for that race. it was sad to here he had died. he will be missed.
this is one thng i will never for get i talked to him that morning also that made my day but after he crashed my day sank its unforchnt that this had to happen r.i.p. scot
i know what happened, after a couple of run scotts car started leaking in one run and made the track wet with gas,so wen he went he ran over the gas causing a tiny fire in his engine so 2 seconds later his engine explodid and since he was going so fast the wind blew the firey explosion right toward his face and body
Good tribute, sad but not unexpected, as drag racing at 300 mph is just time bomb waiting go off. Everyone knows the risks. That God he did not live with some terrible horible injury. I admire the courage of these drivers, but still thing the sport is out of control, unlike nascar which has speed rules and other restrictions RIP Scott
Sorry I was wrong turns out your a 44 year old from japan.I understand where your comming from now. Your just a nip with a small penis jelous because it takes much larger genitalia to compete in this motor sport.
dddd444666, sorry I meant ddddiicckk head. How fucking old are you. The three videos on this subject you have commented on include :- "ha ha ha" "wa wa wa" and "boo whoo whoo" As I said before you must be a five year old kid or a second rate 80's pop music writer.
Its a sad thing when someone dies, but driving a funny car isnt exactly a safe job , its like driving a bomb down the drag strip , ya ever know if its going to explode. He died doing what he loved , and he had many fans and a family who loved him , he made a name for himself and its a shame he had to die in the process. Thank you everyone who made tribute videos for him , if only people did this with everyone who dies daily , because its better to be remembered than forgotten.
Scott, the concret barriers were there for a reason, and Scott hit them. NHRA knew that this was a possibilty. Why no attempt to stop a 300 mph car safely!!! Concret aways does it, but we lost a great driver. As from the video, obviously, he had no mind or chance on his part to brake, with car in massive flames. NHRA needs to correct their profit margin on behalf of the drivers. A somber hopeless attitude among the fans is not what NHRA needs.
rest in peice buddy, you past doing what you loved and i respect you for that. I wish the best for his family and may his soul live on in the heart of everyone that knew him
R.I.P scott and to his family my prayers go out to you.And if you see this tribute video comment, let this guy know "hey you did a great job" sad, sad, sad
this is sad do you see the angel racer with scott in frame time 1.05 at the top of scotts car, god was with him the whole time r.i.p scott from one racer to another
Even if I "flipped burgers" for a living, would that mean my assumption is incorrect? would "credentials" decide if a person is right or not? if you think so you're a douche.
@bunjit1 if it was a shadow u would have been aple to see it on the whole car instead of just a the wall and the shadow doesnt even look like its on the wall cuz if i was on the wall it would have been alot smaller because of how far away the wall was and its not on that little wall right next to the track cuz its higher than that wall and if u look the next wall it can be on is pretty far away
@mldnjrd &Ummmm OK, Actually it's smoke but if you want to see fucking fairies than go right ahead just don't open your mouth because you say stupid shit.
Fucking religious people.
The sooner you all get raptured and fuck off the better.
It is sad, that's true, but if the man was anything like me, he would rather go that way, in the blaze of glory, than get sick or old. Any one of us who straps their self into a car on the track knows there is that chance we won't be coming back up that return road. Now I don't race funny cars or anything even close, but a 100 mph crash can kill you just as dead as a 300 mile an hour one if the factors are right. He gambled and lost, and it's a bad deal, but he knew that's the chance you take.
From what I gather, the runoff was shorter than most tracks. There was talk of making the races there 1/8 mile or 1,000 feet. The Kalittas were never my favorites, but I would rather he died of old age than to see this happen. He was a great racer. RIP, Scott.
I dont really watch these races often, but when I heard about this horrific accident and seen the footage. I started crying, that was such a horrible way to go. And this is a very good video you put together. May he rest in peace.

I have & at times, still do; feel the same confusing &dispairing fustration, you seem to be expressing.
Fact: Nobody, here; knows for fact, what happens when you die. (plse. no need. Not the point. just askin' 4 arguements! lol)
Fact: Everybody dies. Noboby gets out alive.
Your definition of "alive" is obviously a big key.
Fact: It feels *ucken rotten when someone you care for dies & bad "ppl" don't.
Fact: It is "POSSIBLE" still being here; is worse.
Fact: I'm sorry you hurt.
