I hope we can all stay away from politics. I am a South East Asian Chinese not from Mainland or Taiwan and we are here to enjoy Youtube. Looking at Vivian, this is a terrible performance. Honestly she has been around for ages. She was in soft porn, then acting and singing. And she has never made it. She can't even dance. After all these years she is still in a limbo. She should retire. Just only a vase, no substance.

By the way, Americans also hate injustice. They show sympathy to innocent victims including actresses. Americans, a group of people who believe that politics and entertainment are separate, believes that politics/ political force has no right to interfere and has no right to hurt a person without a legal process and a justifiable reason. In fact, a political reason is not justifiable.
Also from an American perspective, Americans, most of the time, care only Results, and Sometimes, some of them are impatient and inflexible. And, Many of them have not heard of Taiwan. So if China wants to advertise Taiwan by adding it in front of China, the U.S. will probably (say, it works as an advertisement, and it catches my attention). Do they care? No. Many of them cannot tell the difference between different Asian countries. just say Asia.sometimes They don't know that those exist.
The last comment is a response to the other comments below the video. okay, and I think according to the capitalism that the U.S. believes or the global economy the U.S. believes, Countries are better off when they support one another; or their economies become improved because of trade.
And about Politics, average people/Americans have little interest in politics. They want stability, work, prosperity, decent wages, good living environments,.. Which that everyone on the globe wants.
I guess from USA's perspective, I don't think that I can represent the U.S., and I don't think that I understand America. But I think that it will just say, "Be quiet, and show some respect. Do not disturb the audience during the performance."

no she's not lip synching. This is just another one of youtube's screwed up videos where for some parts the lip doesn't match with the sound.
Another reason that she's not is that you can hear the different volume in her voice.
For this one part, when she's dancing, her voice softens and she pants more.
