Taking Sylvester for a walk

To truly leash train them you need to start them as kittens....

But I have both of my full grown cats leash trained to a point where while don't want to got on walks....they know resistance is futile and I can take them to the vets or to Petco w/o them trying to escape.

I actually took a 3 year old feral cat and got him to accept that resistance was futile with the leash on. He would become a sack of potatoes instead of freaking out when ever I went to pull him out from under the bed.

@equarg Sylvester was an EXPERT on getting out of leashes, but as you can see he preferred the sack of potatoes way. One of the cats I've currently got doesn't need a leash, he walks like a very very well trained dog, on the side of the road, crosses the street where he is supposed to and refuses to go far from home without me.

The cat was kneading his claws like they do when they are happy, so he wasn't unhappy. But you can't walk a cat on a leash. They just fall over. Though I have had cats that would come on a walk with no leash, especially if the dogs were going too.
