  • maybe it was due to the multiple reversals of the prop. I know the effect is due to the camera shutter speed but maybe multiple changes in engine rpm would have the clockwise/counter clockwise effect on the camera.

  • I think he's referring to the low / flat approach which is certianly not an issue in a Diamond, especially without flaps. He's probably a Cessna pilot used to spaceshuttle style approaches.

  • I think he means nose-high on final. It might be camera angle, though.

  • Hard to tell... Could also be the landing was deliberately on the back of the power curve. My instructor had me land that way a couple times.

  • Just to clarify, this looks like a shuttle landing because of the cameras zoom. This was taken with a crappy camera by my wife. Once on the ground, you can see the image zooms to about normal.
