  • Nice! You look like Dan Akyroyd.

  • Where's paul's harmony?

  • Thumbs Carllile on a sitar!!! I luv it

  • Sick shirt man! Beautiful music as well. :D

  • haha i like how your playing the sitar like a steel lap guitar.

  • I love it!

  • cool i need to learn the sitar!

  • hey! what editing software did you use for this video? I would really like to know :)

  • where is Ringo ??? we want Ringo !!!!

  • strange way to play the sitar but still nice job

  • Where did you get the sitar sheet music? and for that matter who taught you how to play the sitar?

  • @xXTheHunterX360Xx

I didn't use sheet music to make this video, or any of my other videos for that matter. I've never taken lessons on sitar and I DEFINITELY do not consider myself a sitar player.

I just figured out how to play this song by ear, and played the melody using only one string.

  • @cjhoylemusic

Oh that's a shame. So I'm guessing the only place for me to obtain and learn a sitar is somewhere in South Asia.

  • Very nicely done. I want to learn to play sitar. Also is your capo on the 2nd or 3rd fret?

    @xXTheHunterX360Xx

You can buy a sitar online. try amazon.

  • congratualtions all right

  • I thought it was really good.

  • you play great, but i think you are singing out of tune

  • this is amazing.

  • ok hold your sitar properly

  • @MsBobohj

    why?

  • @cjhoylemusic Because it's looks cooler and more professional...?

  • @BlueStreak440

    Not something I'm concern about.

  • @cjhoylemusic Are you concerned that your timing is off?

  • @BlueStreak440 My concern is whether people are entertained.

  • @cjhoylemusic

in that case, i am very entertained

  • i think that this position does not allow you to utilize the sitar correctly for maximum effect, that could effect the entertainment value of your performance, also may appear disrespectful to an instrument considered extremely divine to some.

but i enjoyed it, very nice idea

  • @MsBobohj shut the hell up this guy rocks.

  • @MsBobohj shut the hell up this guy rocks.

  • hey whered u get that sitar? and how good is it?

  • very nice

  • i like....

  • im getting a sitar soon.

the way you hold the sitar is very uniqe!

  • @TEHEARTHBOUNDFAN

I was holding it that way because it is missing most the top strings. I played the melody using just 1 string, which meant that I needed to stretch very far between some of the notes.

  • ah! that makes sense.

  • the very beginning of chorus is out of tune :-(..but still good job

  • That was really cool! Don't know much about sitars, but never seen one played "lap steel style!"

  • Thanks- very good job! Ron

  • Super excellent! Five stars!

  • I watched a couple of you're videos, theyre really fun!

    I love your instrument collection.

  • Nice done!

Your sitar play is very unique style!!

  • Very Cool! Where does one get a Sitar?

  • This one was bought in Pakastan in the 1970's!

  • so awesome! I'm trying to learn Norwegian Wood on the uke but I'm afraid it won't have the effect I'm hoping for when played alone... I love the sitar in this though

  • Yea, the way that I am playing it one uke in this video would be quite lonely without the other instruments. I am just playing the straight chords, which are quite repetitive.

My advice is to try and find variations of the chords which you can use to give it more movement than straight chords.

  • Oh my goodness, a real sitar!!! You get major points for that!

  • About time! Really good work, seeing the sitar caught me off guard but sounds great.

  • So many multitrackers do Beatles covers - cool!

Yours sounds nice! Maybe you could do a little more post editing like EQing, panning, dynamic compression, etc. to further improve the audio.

  • Well the real fact is that many youtubers do Beatles Covers....so the fact that many multi-trackers do is water under the bridge.

Personally I'm not a fan of digital effects, I try to do as little post editing as possible. I much prefer hearing the natural sound directly from the instruments.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Wow! Neat work :O
