My BC does the same with his Kong. He even goes as far as picking it up, taking it to the top of the stairs, and then letting it bounce down. He follows it down and then herds it back to the foot of the steps and repeats the process. This will go on forever or until I finally feel sorry for him and start playing hide the kong.
Wow I thought we had the only dog that did that! Our old Borer Collie Tess would drop a ball down the stairs and then get it and repeat for literally hours if we got bored of throwing the ball.

Aw so cute. My border collie/australian cattle dog mix herds his kong and his stuffed doxie. They are some smart little guys!
