Video conferencing will be a hit, and it's nice to see high-def, but you only see where the Umi camera looks. That may limit the market value of proprietary systems like Umi when compared to video conferencing on portable devices like iPhone 4 and iPad 2. Each system has advantages & tradeoffs, but they don't talk to each other.
Read "Video Conferencing for Home Healthcare" (search on Google). The article compares the various systems and has video links to many of them.

@ShitTalkinDandylions Facetime is small time Telepresence...that doesn't work outside of Apple world.
