  • You're a fuckin goofy fag. You look soooo gay, it's rediculous. Also, you're so fuckin homely it isn't even funny. You think you look good in these photos? You're soft as a grape and delusional.

  • Awesome video as usual! You make a really good subject btw. I like how at the end you threw in some of the business side of your photography. Could you do a video on how you market yourself (besides the fro), get clients, other rates, and how you talk to the client about the whole process and what they can expect. thanks.

  • All of them natural light?

  • Did the photographer use a flash?

  • Cool videos. ...

  • damn $450 for one shoot! i would feel really uncomfortable asking for that much haha

  • i think u have a talent as a model for camera ads dude..

  • What lens did Adam use here? Do you think the 50mm would be great for these kind of photos?

  • what lens did he use?can these type of photos be achieved just by using a prime lens?

  • What are you thoughts of him using only the 70-200?? I find that odd. Did he not have a 50 or 85??

  • I LOVE THESE PHOTOS!!!!!!!!!!

  • Apparently, if this is Adam's style and you @JaredPolin has a similar style to him, then I have a pretty similar style to both of you, because the photos in the videos was exactly how I imagined if someone had to do a photo shoot with me.

    BTW nice photos :)

  • Well said :)

  • You're a great subject. :]

  • You look like Lenny Kravits :)

  • 450? wow thats a lot. and not all the people pay would that much money. i was thinking about 20 bucks an hour.

  • I charge $100 tops haha with prints.. anyone live in St.Paul Minneapolis?

  • Awesome info. I am glad came across your channel yesterday. The info at the end of this video is what I needed to hear. I want to get paid for taking photographs, but I am uncertain of where to start. You gave me a good starting point. Now I just need to improve my photo skills.

  • Great vid

  • Jared,

My wife and I are trying to go pro. We have a couple of cameras - 60D & t2i - (Canon, I know, forgive us) - and an 18-135mm (hardly used), 50mm 1.8 II, Tamron 17-50mm 2.8, and 30mm 1.4 (Sigma 50mm equiv). Saw your review of the Sigma 70-200 2.8. We also have a 430 EXII and 2 Yongnuo YN460s and Yongnuo wireless receivers. Would you say it is a MUST to have a 70-200 2.8?

We want to do weddings, portraits, etc, as a hubby-wife team. Would you say the 70-200 2.8 from Sigma would be a must?

  • Nice shots here, hey, if I ever run into you over in the eastern seaboard, do you mind if I tag along with you? I find I learn by example.

  • man...your portraits are cool.

  • Did you or Adam edit these photos?

  • @5Sportfreak5 i edited the RAW files as he had a shoot in Ireland.

  • I like the pictures, Jared

  • @kawakocher Thanks for providing that financial insight so that the monetary practicality of photography is not lost. Cool pics by the way.

  • is it necessary to watermark our shootouts??

  • shooting in central park is awesome, i spent hours there

  • LOL

  • You could of had a different color T Shrit on. With your camera black and your shirt a dark color your camera wasn't that noticeable. Keep up the GREAT!!! work. All your info is very helpful. Thanks again for your time.

  • Jared. when you shoot do you focus manually by picking one of the red dots in the viewfinder?

  • How do you take that step from doing photographs for your friends to getting paid to do portraits of people? Where do you get that exposure of people who would be willing to pay you?

  • mm i hate these type of shoots where the model doesn't smile or show any emotion, even the though the pictures themselves look great it gives off an uninterested, boring, fake and too "cool" look which in my opinion i'd want to hire/watch/follow someone who had a happy, emotional photo who i'd think would be an enjoyable person to work with

  • @tomfewchuk Oh god, Really? You think too much.

  • Cool!

  • the pricing part was very very helpful :) thanks

  • online usage? i have a lot of questions.

  • Call him Mr Raider

    Call him Mr Wrong

    Call him Mr Vain....Vain....Vain....

  • the pic at 3:03 would of been way more sick if you had your cam on a BR sport instead of just gripping it.

  • Great shots, and great video Jared!

  • Thanks for the pricing info!!!

  • that insider info of how much to charge is very appreciated... Thanks!

  • "Neeeeew not nude..." jajajajaja

  • Hey Jarred, do you make them sign any contracts be fore the shoot? If they do, can you please give us some tips on what the contract has to say? And where do you get your prints after the shoot?

    Thank Jarred

  • gr8 stuff.....!!!!!!

  • You are amazing Jared. See ya!

  • Photos look great, did he use any flashes/reflectors? How would *you* position them if you did?

  • @eleventhphotograph nope no flash no reflectors, straight on and boom.

  • About time we get a video of you as the subject! :) not bad at all eh! XD

  • i wouldnt mind you talking about your contracts and copyrights with your clients. i start talking to people about copyright releases and they look at me like deer in highlights.

  • You're a beautiful man, Fro. Excellent captures, Adam.

  • You're hot... Tis all. :)

Oh wait, I also think you're an awesome photographer. I look up to you a lot.

  • im just starting out in photography, people say i have an eye for photography and my composition is good and im currently taking a photo class in highschool. the class is really simple and i definitely know alot more then whats being taught and practiced. i need some help starting out i dont know how to start making money and im not sure what i can do to improve

  • apparently,i live in indonesia,

and having a customer willing to pay just 100$ for a photoshoot is rare,...

    450$? a wedding price.LOL

  • who is greg? who cares? last time i checked the channel was called jaredpolin. this video was good, no need for hate here.

also does anyone know adam's set up? lens, flash, etc?

  • Thank you so much for the valuable info. I'm obviously ripping myself off at $175 for my shots. Kudos to Adam for the bitchin shots

  • Adam Learner - Did Jared pay you after the shoot or was the thankyou near the end of the video the usual mode of payment :P

    Jared brilliant show yet again.

  • amazing photo!

  • I love how there are less and less haters as the adam greg incident becomes forgotten more and more

  • Your shoes are awesome!

  • I wish there was a backstage video for this :(

  • @JaredPolin How much did you have to work out to get that ripped?

  • @Mas7erChief117 not a lot right now unfortunately, i had 10 pounds more about 6 months ago but can not keep up with the amount of eating that is needed.

  • He keeps way too much headroom and they need to be tighter. Crop :P

  • @nosmailliwydocbocaj...Rules are meant to be broken (as far as photography goes)

  • @nosmailliwydocbocaj sometimes you should really break this rules, you will get amazing shots!

  • Great pictures :), love them, nice to see you on the other side of the camera too, don't know how to ask this question but how do you get someone to pose, it sounds silly but I want to get into portrait photography on landscape too much and i like the idea of portrait but don't know how to get anyone to pose :(, maybe a short video to explain, a know a few people will or are asking this question also.

  • i'm a complete noob and just started gettin in to your vids, which have been very helpful. i'm curious why you seem to use lightroom over photoshop (i have both, but have relatively old versions). i'm already registered at your site, and getting a lot of info there, so thanks

  • Those were some awesome pictures!

What would you recommend as a wide angle lens on a Canon 60D (crop body)? Just wondering.

  • great pics man! whats A good setting when shooting in black and white?

  • Great stuff. Pic 2 and the first of you sitting against the wall was my favorite. If i am just starting out and i dont really have people or friends avaliable to practice portrait shooting, what are some tips to train in this type of photography so when i do get a willing live subject, i will know roughly what to do and not be completely oblivious?

  • So, how much did you pay Adam for the photo shoot ? :)

  • Outstanding thank you for the Info. Im now starting to get paid and folks are asking me to take pics of them and their families. What about seeling landscape photos and such?

  • @aleksandersandstrom, thanks!

  • great photos.... it could have been cool if there was like a half face photo

  • You look sad, Jared.

    I hope you are OK.

  • Question, i can buy à secondhand lens but can only test it on the spot. What 's the best way to doe so? Sugestions?

  • @habaca check for signs of it been droped, scratches are usually nothing to worrie about but lenses should not have denst´s. check to front-element for scratches. Take some test-shoots.

  • Nice vid, great photo's, where did you find the model ;-)

  • Great Vid! Just wondering did you come to NY just for this photo shoot? I really like the the info on how to price for a shoot like that. Thanks!

  • I liked the "candid" shots much more than the classic type ones which in my opinion you look a bit to serious in them. my favorite is picture 2#.

  • Couldn't you get those Blacks at 4:35 if you just increase the blacks in lightroom while on B&W, instead of using silkypix pro?

  • @white8ass8kika not really, it would end up loosing a lot of detail.

  • @JaredPolin Thanks. I'd just like to say i really appreciate your dedication to improving photography across the globe. I'm in England and I love your weekly edit and other videos like this one. I find them really helpful. Thanks a lot! ^_^

  • awesome pictures !

  • You should pose nude next time

  • @00Yarko lol

  • What's up with all the haters? :(, i like the vid anyway :)

  • @skidgalning I bet if you see who gives the "thumbs down" you would find they are the same people giving all the Fro videos a negative. I dont believe Youtube should even have that option. Either you like it or move on.

  • @skidgalning its cuz it feels like Adam replaced greg.
