  • @EricMaldonadoMusic Thanx a bunch man and I'll be back online eventually. Transitioning and writing more stuff. Ciao

  • This is awesome, I have been watching it every day for 3 days. Your soloing style, note choice and phrasing is very reminiscent of Mr. George Lynch, I love that. Great playing dude!

    -Eric

  • @EricMaldonadoMusic Thank you much Eric. I truly appreciate your comment. I have always held Lynch very close to my playing heart. He really blew me away when I was in my formidable stages and it has haunted my playing from day one. I feel like I've just begun and I've got 28 years on the axe behind me now. Whoa, hehe, not getting any younger. Thanx again sir, ApB

    ♥ ♫

  • I thank you for the fabulous comment. I kind of went for it, and not a lot planned here. Of course the backing tracks were built with structure and accuracy, but the lead track was a bit free form. I appreciate your compliment. Very nice of you, apb

  • Maybe one of your best tunes man, glad to see you back you mother.I love to trip out while watching your videos.

  • Love the hat, tone, phrasing, note selection, everything! 5 stars not enogh for this masterpiece!

  • Thanx much for the kindest of words. I enjoy sharing songs when I can here. It's a wonderful medium. You shred, and keep it up!!! apb

  • fantastic expression... great tone and nice nimble runs... very very impressed... i noticed a comment below mentioning steve morse.. very similer but this is much more fluid... 5 stars.... CHEERS!

  • I had fun with this one, just laid down a bed track, and jammed to it. The vid' is poorly synched, as much of the recording was improvised, and forgotten. Thanx much, ApB

  • Awesome tune! Like a mix of Satriani and Steve morse! Awesome tone too!

  • Thanx much, I appreciate the feedback, and for it to be quite positive is nice. Cheers, and all the best in 2010, ApB

  • Hi Mr.Rock,

I'm impressed with your skills! His guitar here is a Penske leading the 500 miles of Indyanapolis and you are a winning driver!Amazing man playing!

    Five stars again!

  • I used to drive a Penske ( Indy Style Body ) go-cart to school, that I'd won in a raffle, and that's about as close as I've come to winning the 500. I drove it well, Hehe. I've always wanted to really race, so I just take my frustrations out on the Schecter. Playing guitar is more financially feasible than putting a team together, and havin' a killer car. Thanx again for making my day, I try, I give 'er my best! apb

  • yeah man! you're really good!

  • Thanx for the listen, and the view. Thank you for the props too. I have fun with it, and that's what playing is all about to me. peace, apb

  • Great song man.

  • I set up the chord changes, bass, drumsm , and soloed over this all in about 2 hours, including the time to post the vid. An improvisational journey, and an excuse to play that day. Thanx much, apb

  • Great playing man...!!nice!!

    Did you play schecter guitar?

  • Thank you for the view, and listen here. Yes, the guitar is a Schecter HellRaiser ( Diamond Series ), and I am very happy with it's personality. It's got some life to it! Blessings, ApB

  • Vork this song rules.

    you rule.

    KILLER !

  • Thanx a million sir. I appreciate the props, apb

  • I hear Ya Bro Like it Very Much,I am going to Be Posting some New Videos of me with my New Guitar Skulls n Bones (Lynch Model)

  • Nice, thanx much, and I'll be watching you. apb

  • I think I hear a Boss dr-770 drum machine.....that intro fill sounds identical to my old Boss.

  • The intro is an actual preset on this, and yes it is exactly the same machine. I have BFD software, and Pro-Tools, but I still record on my BR-8, and with my dr-770. Nice ear, apb

  • Blown away dude. Killer!

  • Thanx a million, and cheers sir. apb

  • Hi Aaron, really a great performance; i enjoy that kind of stuff. Keep on rockin´! Cheers, Horst

  • Thanx much, and we shall both carry the torch. apb

  • NICE! What guitar is that?

  • Thanx much, and about the guitar. It's a Diamond Series, Schecter, " Hellraiser. " It has pull, coil tap, adjustment, so I can run single coil EMG's, or the humbuckers. The Floyd Rose is a decent one, and the neck is through the body. It has a good personality, as well. Cheers, apb

  • Aaron, this...like so much of your stuff...is just great. Love the tone.

  • I do spend a while on dialing tones, before I track anything. I always believed tone to be first priority. If the tone is under control, that's the cake, and the licks, or melodies beyond that are just frosting. Thanx, and Cheerz! apb

  • wow! I'm blown away! Incredible playing, Aaron!

  • The recorded solo tracks were mostly improvised, so I have many times in the vid' that my hand synching is off. Hehe, I rushed this to film. I could have spent more time on mimicking the actual parts, but what the heck. This is what it is. Thnx , apb

  • hey aaron nice tone, what are you playing through?

  • Roland BR-8 direct, and Soldano setting then EQ'd for about an hour before tracking. One step at a time, and then it's go time. ApB

  • hot!

  • Thanx G, we be hangin' out soon. Gotta set somethin' up. I'll hit you, apb

  • Wow, Very Nice,,,

Now, steer me straight if I'm totally off here.

Being 50 something, I can dig the shit out of this all day. Put the kick stand down, a loaded 1e, and hell we're camping here.

but in the studio and live Jazz guitarists, it drives me nuts.

I swear it doesn't make any sense when they cut loose.

Like interference gibberish vs truly connecting the strings to the soul.

Thank God I grew up on therapy of Pink Floyd, or I'd be stripped threads.

    Cheers

  • You need no steering sir, and I thank you for the most kind comment. David Gilmour is one of my favorite players, but I don't play much like him, most times. I believe that life experience play much a part of one being able to exude vibe. I've lived a lot, and this is the result. Cheers, apb

  • Your more than Welcome, and it all makes perfect sense.

  • Cheers, L8

  • Aaron you shred

  • Thanx much Shredman. I appreciate your kind comment. apb

  • dein got Musiker 5/5

  • Thanx a zillion, apb

  • great solos, 5 star....(",)

  • Killer comment, and much respect. You are a fine player, and I appreciate your kindness. Peace, apB

  • Damn awesome man!! thats some really fine shredding! also been reading the comments, and yeah i must agree, lots of lynch influence, and that ROCKS HARD

  • A fine comment from a mighty fine player. Thanx much, ApB

  • Dude, nice playing. Any suggestions on how to get that sort of tone or anything to learn that was common in 80's soloing?

  • Thanx much, and I hit you inside with some tone advice, as well. You sound great, so keep pushing to higher levels. Your feel, and sound is already there. apb

  • great playing, true example of 80's style hard rock lead (I love 80's shred style and lead guitar tone),but what is most important,I can see you are really enjoying in what you are doing in this video, keep playing such amazing stuff ;)

  • Wow, I never realized how much of the 80's is in my blood. I was just messing around, improvising here, and thanx for watching. Cool comment, I dig! apb out!

  • LOL,Im on that train as well,ha,ha.Great playing BTW and Goofyguitar turned me on to you.I will have some stuff up soon.Pleasure to finnaly hear you my man, peace Jess.

  • I'm actually digging this - there's a lot of Lynch attitude and note choice, and definately some nods of the head technically. Ok, no-one sounds exactly like George but you sound very close on demand which is I think exactly the aim; capturing the vibe as much as possible.

    Very nice :)

  • I grew up on George, so being impressionable, young, and curious of his sounds created, I just learned a bunch of his solos. I don't remember a lick of them now, but I think some of that spice was absorbed. This took me like 1 hour to do everything, so it was an experiment at best. Thanx a bunch, apb out!

  • I saw your post about the lynch vid and came over. I'm going cover the spectrum on this comment :). Other than a few harmonics, this doesn't sound like lynch at all. This piece for me sounded like one big long run. Not very dynamic, wouldn't really hold my attention or make me want to listen to it over and over again. That said, if that was really you playing, you are a very good guitarist/musician. Very clean playing, lot's of different techniques. Great job!

  • Very nice comment, and thank you. I was improvising here, and attempting to create lines, but it does come off as a loop of some sort. A bit different of a result, and I just kept the takes. There's miles between individuals, and their styles, so very little Lynch comparisons were taken seriously. Just a way for others to reference, or define. Peace, apb

  • really liked your fluid lines during modulation, nice.

  • That's a very fine comment, and I do thank you for taking the time to listen. I've been playin' for a while, but it is very difficult, at times, to deliver anything somewhat unique. I desire to have my own sound, and it's an ongoing journey, it seems. Peace, apb

  • Wow aaron you are amazing. ¿what preset you use? the sound is perfectly. you rock 5*

  • There is a hard rock lead ( Soldano ) preset that I use in my Roland 8 track processor. It's all direct, the programming of drums, bass, and of course the guitars. I try do accomplish a lot with very little sometimes. Hehe, and thanx. ApB

  • You play from a place deep inside. I can see the joy it brings you. Nice gift you got from creator... Renee

  • I agree 10,000%. I do feel extremely blessed even though my inner critic messes with me often. Peace, and thanx. apb

  • yeah!! fine pickin!!

  • Thanx a bunch. apb

  • What an AWESOME feel you have for the guitar Aaron!!!

  • Some of this vid' was rushed, and poorly hand synched, but the recording itself has a vibe to it, indeed. I just got inspired to lay something down one day, and 5 hours later I was done with everything. When it rains it pours here, but there hasn't been much inspiration since. Thank you sir, ApB

  • I agree, awesome phrasing with that guitar!

  • Thanx buddy, I dig. apb

  • 10 out of 10.

  • Great phasing man!

  • Thank you, ApB

  • I like phasing, and you'd probably meant PHRASING? Hehe, just bustin' your chops. peace, apb

  • oops, that was a typo haha. You know what I mean;)

  • nice 5 stars!!

  • Thanx much, apb

  • Fine guitar, fine sound, fine game! Bravo!

  • Thanx much, apb

  • Great solo friends, I recorded my to George Linch...Comgratulations...

  • You're way too kind, but that is a good thing. Lynch? Yeah, I hear that often, growin' up? He was always one of my fav's. Van Halen, Vai, and Malmsteen too. peace, apb

  • I hear some Lynch dude! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Love this clip, is definitely has that Sacred Groove vibe TO A TEE! Nice............................... ;)

  • I don't know what it is with all of this Lynch stuff spilling through. It's not intentional, at all. His manager even sent me a myspace message, and said some good things. George was one of my favorite players, growing up, so I guess a lot of his style has sticked. I've been advised, from some, as to remove this aspect of my playing, but old habits do die hard. Hehe, apb

  • awesome bro as usual!

  • You too, as usual. apb

  • Tasteful guitar! Cool vid

    Dan

  • Thanx Dan, apb

  • sounds real good man

  • Thanx much, an example of my background, and me comping over it, that's all. apb

  • Thats great playing Man , I like your use of the scales ,great phrasing ,again nice job ,and a great set of chops man ,peace Bro

  • I try to mix things up a bit, and twist the sonic story around. I can tell or speak stories really well, so sometimes that ability bleeds into the sound dept. Hehe, Thanx a zillion sir, apb

  • You have got something really cool in your playing. one of the more interesting guitar vids on YouTube at the moment (imo)

  • I appreciate that observation, and I know what you are talking about. Strange things happen when I improvise. It can be very hit , or miss, at times, but I try to stay rather loose with it, as to not smother the quirks. peace, apb

  • Thank you Steven, and I dig your tunes, as well. apb

  • This is freaken awesome sounding Aaron

whoot whoot , man I love this

    Rawk on

    endless starz

  • Wow, I thank you for your props, and enthusiasm. apb

  • Fantastic - sounds like George Lynch meets Joe Satriani...

  • I have met both players before, and I really admire them two. Thanx 4 the props. apb

  • This is a cool groove on a rainy day - dream away ....I dig!

  • Thanx much P.T.T. apb

  • Crazy beautiful, Aaron! loved it before on your other channel and put it in my Incredible Performances playlist, so in now this one goes! You're so stylish in your playing...love it!

    Hugs,

    Joy

  • Much Respect, and many Hugz your way from here. apb thanx U

  • Holy crap that was sick!!

    Shane

  • Thanx much for the props, and I dig your vox, as well. apb

  • Thanks..

.I just watched this again. This is mind blowing.

  • what kind of scale did you use?

  • In this, I used D Aeolian, D Hyper-Aeolian, or minor, and harmonic minor for the diminished parts. I get a more eastern or indian sound from the harmonic minor in my approach, and less of a neo-classical sound. When it seems outside, or kind of exotic? That's the harmonic minor working against the grain. It makes the story a bit more interesting, so I throw things like that in to keep the listener engaged. apb

  • Did you teach yourself? amazing play... you got skills

  • I have played for 25 years, and had many teachers. I went to GIT, so I learned from some really good ones. I lived in LA for 15 years, so when there, I met some incredible players. I've had too many teachers to mention, but I did the work, and the rest is history, I guess. I have been blessed with befriending great players. You are a reflection of the company you keep. Thanx much, apb

  • Hello, This is quite an inspiring piece of music my friend! I really enjoyed listening this this tune over, and over again. from 0:30 -0:33 that line you play sounds so much like a Gonçalo Periera lick (not sure if you're familiar with his music) what kind of guitar are you using? Love the tone & sustain ...gives me goose bumps :) Thanx again for sharing your amazing music!

  • I use a Schecter Diamond Series, " Hell Raiser, " on this one. The guitar is not set up yet, but I play through the action, for now. You really have to dig in, and play thick on it, and the frequency response is like a dream. It has EMG pickups that are double, but can be tapped as to be single. The guitar found me. I was playing it at Guitar Center, and it drew a bit of a crowd, so I figured it to be mine. I will check out that player you mentioned. Thanx a million, apb

  • Sounds awesome Aaron

    love this music

  • Thanx a bunch young lady. apb

  • Phenomenal playing.

  • Thanx a zillion, your music is fantastic. apb

  • Beautifully played Aaron ! Cool hat : )

    Mike

  • Thank you, I dig. apb

  • I thank you very much, for your most kind comment. I'll be around, peace, apb

  • Aaron thats some killer leads that you are playing reminds me alot of George Lynch, you kick some major as@....peace[[Freddie]]

  • Lynch is most excellent, I thank you for the props, and comparison. apb

  • kickarse brother.

  • Virgil????!!!! Killer to see you here, Wow!!! Awesome bro'. I still haven't begun my computer based recording. I need a damn engineer, or an act of God. I got so frustrated, I said, back to the 8-track recorder. hehe, apb

  • Damn man - I thought you had that stuff goin - it does take about 3.3 pounds of perserverance, and by the looks of your guitar playin, I figured you had lots of that equity to spare. I just built a new machine (Oh, yeah, it's a rocket) and started on my new instrumental rock cd. Gittin' things goin was a bit tricky, but i'm ridin a wave now. Love your stuff Aaron - you never cease to amaze me with all of your wonderful talents. Keep thet guitar in your hands my friend. V

  • I want to hear your CD, so let me now when you are done. I'll figure this studio stuff out, in time. Hehe, apb

  • Killer of you to say such nice things, and the fact that a song of mine can be a positive part of your day is priceless. Unbelievable comment, and thank you a zillion. More to come, indeed. apb

  • Great lead skillz

  • Thank you Joey. You are very gifted yourself. apb

  • Right on man, and many thanx. apb
