  • Completely overfished? Latest reports have shown that they are actually quite pervasive in the area, whereas early reports stated that they were found in only one body of water. Either way, thanks for the vid, it was very interesting to watch their spawning behavior. Do you find they lay continuously, or is spawning a relatively big event? What are you raising the fry on? Would you mind posting temperature and water parameters? Sorry for the barrage of questions...

  • Hi Mike, thanks for the comments..the tank in question is only 10g and is tiny, it is placed end on in a rack of 15 in my hatchery. Standard filtration in there is performed by mature sponge filters with 5-10% daily water changes, this keeps water quality high. Lighting is a single T8, cool white tube that spans the length of the rack..I went on to breed hundreds of the celestials and found them very easy, when i get a spare tank i would like to do them again. Cheers..

  • Very nice Aquarium setup. I'd like to know what type of lighting and filtration you have on the system to keep it looking so nice. I'm primarily into reef systems but attempted a 100g setup like this last month and bombed. I found your vid because it's Celestials I want to breed in it just as you are doing. Awesome vid!
