The spaceship is depicted entirely differently from the box art for Super Mario Land, but the alien itself looks almost identical to the illustrated art.

My guess is that it's one of Nintendo's famous cameos. ;)

It's not just the frequency of the music that's higher. It's really fucking obvious, even from a casual listen. Turn on a game boy with this game in it, or throw the GBS into winamp and take a listen. Now compare it to this video. Get a metronome, or tap your foot to the beat. If you still think they're the same tempo, please get your ears checked.

I'm too lazy to read, but this game is running at NORMAL speed. The sound is NORMAL speed. It's only the PITCH (FREQUENCY) of the sound that is 2x higher.

its possible its played on an emulator, i dont know if the speed of the rom is the same of the original game or not when i play on Game Boy i can usualy do around the same time sometimes 30-40 seconds slower on the whole run.
