@rageagainstboxhead I actually asked my mom about the McDLT. She said it was awful, had no flavor, and was pretty stupid. There was no point in seperating two halves of a sandwhich where the cheese isn't melted over the beef patty, but instead mixed with the lettuce and tomato? Yeah, it can stay gone.

I"m not a big fan of McDonalds but zomg I LOVED the McDLT. Fried burgers are ick but cold lettuce and tomato camoflagued the taste nicely and made it taste like a real burger. The commercial was great! And riotgearhead is on the money with the road trip thing! LOL

Used to razz my brother like that back then -- he was a McDonald's shift manager.

The big selling point was that the hot side stayed hot and the cool side stayed cool because of the double clamshell it was sold in.

All that extra styrofoam is what killed it, too.
