I would like to add I wasnt here so I dont know what first due crews arrived to but a building of this size with ANY kind of heavy smoke condition woulda told me to start cutting holes in the roof to vent it

In my PROFESSIONAL OPINION and being a fellow Firefighter/Paramedic,They Shoulda Cut a trench in the roof to vent the smoke and make the fire vent thru the roof

why leave the door open when no hose line is being used? By reading the smoke you were just asking for a bigger fire. Where there water issues, manpower issues? Vol or career?
