Happy Birthday to Ashleigh My Grandaughter who will be 13 this week. I have left this song to Her to keep the dancing going, as it is her Grandmas Favorite song of all times. I will be watching You Ash from where ever I am for ever ~ Your a Great dancer, Love Grandma
Best Old Rcok song Ever to dance to in the early 60,s. Was at the worlds Biggest Beatles Festival last night in Louisville, Ky. All of us screamed when this song was sung. We are also all seniors in our 60.s with silver hair but can still jam like no other Generation ever did. We all sang all the words, that The Isley Brothers song who wrote this song. I still have my 45 record by them. Then the Beatles re recorded but it was not near as much fun to dance to as The Isley Brothers.
@iBolks La Bamba was my second favorite song to dance to , in the early 60,s You can not beat that sond & TWIST & SHOUT. Not the same at all. I hope both songs keep people danicng the way we all did ~
woooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooooo come closwer to me any DAY ... amazing i never thought anyone could do it any better than the fab four ........ well done done bruce ...xxxx
who is that big black guy dressed in black panther clothing? Is he Bruce's bodyguard or something? Cause his 'music instrument' is not a worthwhile contribution
Amazing! Everybody must go at least once to a Bruce Concert! I haven't still gone but I am young and feel young so I hope going not just once!!! and I actually Know who I'd like going with...
He played this song 1988 on the Tunnel of Love Tour in Frankfurt. My first concert - I felt in love... ;-) Best ever! Oh god, how beautiful he is in this vid... unbelievable!
Wow! Even the Boss was inspired by 'the Beatles'!It's incredible to see Bruce covering the Beatles. They both represent two legacies of music, so different, yet none of them being less significant.
twist and shout wasn't written by the Beatles. it was written by a band called the Top Notes. John Lennon was a big motown fan and a lot of their stuff was influenced by band like the Top Notes and Chuck Berry.
@maaanddeuta Twist and Shout was the Isley Brothers. It's also one of the most covered songs of the '60s. Get back to me when Bruce does a Beatles song.
@maaanddeuta Twist and shout ain't the betles' song! The beatles are just some fucking copycats who takes the honor for Phil Medley and Bert Berns masterpiece of a song!
@clash3608 But it's still a Beatles cover. Just like With A Little Help From My Friends was not a Joe Cocker song, but nowadays when people cover it they cover the Joe Cocker version.
@maaanddeuta Uh duded. Springsteen is significantly less significant than the beatles. Just saying, in 200 years he will not be remembered, the beatles, as beethoven and motzart will always be remembered. Some people change music, some don't. Elvis and the Beatles changed music, Springsteen just sold a bunch of cd's.
@therealfactor Don't comment when u know nothing about springsteen... I like both beatles and springsteen, from my equal inclinations towards their music, I must infer, Bruce was a better lyricist than Lenon or McCartney... And you are a fool if u neglect Springsteen's influence on the transition of music.. Artists like Bryan Adams and many others take BOSS as their inspirations...
The beatles took this song and made it theirs. When you hear the song on the radio you hear John Lennon singing it. Not the original. That should tell you right there who did the best version.
As much as I always love Bruce's version of Twist and Shout, this seems a tad lackluster compared to the '78 or '84-'85 versions of it. I don't like the way the band is so spread out. Bruce's interactions with the rest of the E Street Band has always been a big part of what makes his shows great.
Yeah, listen to that stinking trumpet player trying to play high notes with all the theatics on the stage. You assholes want to hear high notes? Go on u Tune and listen to Jon Faddis, Wayne Bergeron or Maynard Ferguson and you'll see what a fraud this "trumpet player' is as is his "BOSS."
Sadly how a pathethic little man seems to have the need to complain in every Springsteen video. Did you girlfriend leave you for him or something? Get a life.
Doesn't this sound a lot like the great Ritchie Valens "La Bamba", or is it just me.
