  • Nothing but the writing mattered to Hunter.... until the drugs kicked in. Then all that mattered was the drugs.

  • I think J.K. Simmons should play Hunter in the next biopic

  • @gregorcollins i thnk depp does a pretty good job. . .he gets him; if you know what i mean. . murray was funny and also did a decent job

  • "it's music" meaning prose, yes yes his work has rhythm in it. Music in the words.

  • @MrMikelly hunter, a prophet? i don't think there would be a bigger insult to the man himself. his entire life was in defiance of God, he worked for no one. if anything, he was a God (lono?), come from above to experience the thrills of human existence, freak people out, and blow shit up.

  • I dont have to believe, cause I'm a road man... Fucking right.

  • He looks like the Dalai Lama.

  • @AntipodeanAl Think I read somewhere that the United States is 85% Jewish business..? I think it was Mike Moore, I could be wrong. Either way... I count myself lucky to have thrown eggs at Henry Kissinger when I had the chance. ;)

  • Hunter's up in the ether trying to get into a Debbie Reynold's gig right now.. Long may your work shine on, and inspire us to write, Gonzo style.

  • @AntipodeanAl

Ron Paul may be the man to save the United States, but the zionist will never give him one inch.

The United States is doomed, LBJ helped pave the way.

  • @AntipodeanAl

There is now massive evidence to show LBJ as the main plotter behind the killing of JFK.

His attorney, mistress and CIA agent have blamed LBJ for the killing of Kennedy.

  • @AntipodeanAl

LBJ was a stone cold Killer......

  • I don't understand the Charlie Rose bashing. I feel like his subtle conversational interviewing style gets the best thoughts and anecdotes out of people. His interview(s) with Carl Sagan, HST, and political figures are always engaging and interesting. I think he tries to get the attention off of himself and to also try to make the interviewee comfortable, which is difficult. Ease up, everybody.

  • @Gumbyrearygood

This people don't understand that being an interviewer you need to challenge the persons opinions abit to get their replys out, it makes it interesting as an interview

  • @Gumbyrearygood Dick Cavett had a very similar style.

  • I love how he slips in "No you don't have the keys to heaven"

  • The part about being a roadman haunts me

  • Why did HST die?

Google : Hunter Thompson Franklin Coveroup

  • Charlie Rose is painful to watch

  • Holy shit, Charlie Rose is awful. I've never been able to watch one of his interviews all the way through. I don't understand how he has had a show for so long.

  • a psychotic episode - when you believe the authorities are really on your side,,,

  • i love his voice¡

  • Or nervous in the presence of greatness. Some of us get like that, I'd imagine. For he was greatness.

  • Greatest man who ever lived. R.I.P.

  • Hunter will never RIP ;-) He's out there in heaven or hell causing ruckus, no doubt.

  • @kerzha he is definitly in heaven Hunter was a prophet !

  • @FearandLoathinginSD Aye!

    I hear you!

    I love H.S.T.

The world will be a better place with more-like-him

  • Sugardonkey is in the employ of Bush

  • he certainly didnt commit suicide he was murdered for his part in the franklin cover and the chance of him exposing those in very high places there are four videos that state his involvement just type in the name " Rusty Nelson " its in a four part series

  • wasn't his kid in the next room? hard to murder someone in the next room......not that it can't or hasn't been done before...

  • i think hunter was awsome

  • Hunter was also talking to his wife. He got bored basically. It's perfectly understandable to me.

  • Charlie Rose is the worst interviewer - laugh laugh laugh but don't listen Charlie.

  • Why would he listen? AND..why is he a bad interviewer? I'll listen....

  • no thanks

  • Alright..

  • Hunter toked a joint with in b4 thay went on cam ..lol R.I.P Hunter!!

  • the best ever

  • It's pretty interesting how he "shot himelf" in mid-sentence in a conversation with his wife. She's scared to the point that she won't say anything about it.

  • That's very disturbing. What kind of state must he have been to treat her like that, let alone do that to himself?

  • He was killed, of course.

  • Of course. But if his wife won't talk about it, how is it known that's what happened?

  • I would have to agree on that. His next book was apparently going to be on cover-ups like the gay prostitution ring in the whitehouse. Jeff Gannon included.

  • He was also working on 911.

  • That is an outright lie.

  • All you have to do is google it dipshit.

  • one of the most extraordinary minds that will ever exist in literature and journalism. He's changed the way I read and write. Much love.

  • hunter has written that he viewed words, writing, in the same way as music. helluva sense of humor on this guy.

  • yea pissynigger you're on the right track. I think hunter slipped some LSD into the interviewers coffee

  • excellent!!!!

  • long live hunter

  • Who said I didn't like Hunter S. Thompson?

  • No one is closing their eyes.

  • You are. If you don't like Hunter Thompson, stop watching these videos!

  • How about the Warren Commission, for starters? Since then, American-made blindfolds have never gone out of style!

  • It's far easier to write about discontent or the lack of faith you have in your country rather than write about how beautiful your country is. The former sells books. The latter does not.

  • It's easy to close your eyes too.

  • Wrong - its easier to write about the truth then to make stuff up.

  • Yes, but saying the reverse is more interesting.

  • what is truth? Isn't it a "made up" rendition of the past greatly complicated by the authors psyche?

  • The man as deranged as he seems remains one of the greatest American writers of his generation and mine. The few who can do that end up in the classics section of your local bookstore.
