I have the old one, is it the same?I mean, It doesn't have indipendent switch, so the switch on the left is the Soda meiser (in the old rocket pedal)? or is it another effect?

I assume by "old one" you mean the pedal with the star graphic on it? Either way, nothing has changed, only the graphic on the front of the pedal, and as you pointed out, Independent switching. The Pedal is still the same thing, a Soda Meiser and Vintage Fuzz Master.

I hear the old pedals without independent switching can be modded for that though.

I really don't get it... How'd you get that full sound at the beginning with that Smashing Pumpkins riff? NO matter what I do with my humbucking Ibanez, I can't get those punchy thick riffing. It's just mud no matter what I do with my guitar or amps settings.. ANY HELP>??? grawgh.. I just got this today, and I don't know how to make it sound good.

@punkmusicmetal There are many things to try.

If you can't get it to sound right messing around with amp&fx settings,try messing around with your right hand technique(pick harder/softer,closer to neck,palm-muting slightly,accentuating your up-picking etc) or tone knob on your guitar.

As cool as the toggle switches are I just don't really care for toggle bonus effects on any pedal. You'll kick em on, break the switches, break the knobs, things like that. This pedal itself sounds really good though you could ignore the switches completely and its still a kickass fuzz box. I cant decide on this or the Shoegazer.

Hey man... Just check if you like some of the bands who use it... They have a LONG list of famous clients known for their tones on the list... and this pedal is all over that list. And it's not like they are playing these pedals because they are some huge name brand (like EH or Boss or something) with a huge budget to pay them to use the pedals.

@speakercoilmusic EH has a huge budget NOW, but the company went bankrupt a while back. The bands in question used EH pedals because they were cool and unique, not because Mike Matthews was paying them to use them. The NEW EH pedals bear very little resemblance to the older ones, which is why cats like Devi and all the other boutiquers out there build awesome pedals that the big dog companies can't (or won't) make anymore.
