Atheists do ask for proof that a god (or evil) does exist, because without proof (of any kind, not just visual) then it confirms the conclusions put forth in atheism. As for the amount of evil in certain individuals being proof, how do you measure how much evil is in a person? And can you experience evil in a quantifiable way? So far, no one has provided any proof as to the existence of evil.

Anyone who eats meat but hates dogfighting is a hypocrite. The things they do to animals in the industrial meat process is just as horrible as anything in the dogfighting ring, but worse since it affects millions of animals. Since most people don't need meat to survive, enjoying watching a dog fight and enjoying a steak are basically the same thing.

@shantuku That's not entirely true, there are plenty of organizations to help people in distress. If you want to help them, feel free to do so. And I don't think a dog's life is worthless - they are our guard dogs, our guide dogs, our tracker dogs, our pets... I think you should respect living creatures anyway, regardless of their species. Animals can experience pain and fear as much as we can and I'm glad that some people do their best to stop those horrible cruelties.
