I have just read a comment about Jack and that he never once had a bad album. Which is kind of uncommon for artists.

I think that is because he, above all, writes above love and life, more so than other people. It's sometimes just real, like in this song. Not everything in life is easy and great.

Furthermore, the piano intro is the same at the ending of upside down. So, these two songs are actually one, showing two sides of life. Which is just.... plain awesome.

I'm motherofjakeharding's daughter!!!!!!!!! My whole family went crazy when he died!!! My mom went through the worst of it though!!!!! She said at the funeral home "If I could I would crawl in the casket and be buried alive with him but, I have Ann(me) and Robert(my youngest brother) at home to whatch out for and to take care of them"!!!! It hit her SOO hard!!!!

I have been searching forever for this song!! On April 19, 2006, my 19 yr old son was killed in a car wreck. This was played at his funeral. It was 1 of his favorite songs. My son, William Jacob Harding, was a very special young man. Everyone he came in contact with LOVED him. He was Mgr at Taco Bell here in Jamestown, Tn. He was going to School to be an EMT. As a matter of fact, 3 days after his wreck was suppose to be his Graduation. He loved life & people!!

He was my 1st born. I have 6 kids

@motherofjakeharding i fell so sorry for you. I have had family members die but none as close as a Son. I Hope u get over the pain i can tell it is painful but u have to try to pull through. My grandpa always said, " Live in the present not the past, the past only brings pain and sorrow. If u live in the present you will continue on with your life but still remember the lost loved ones and not fell so alone." Those are the words of a genius man

Jack Johnson has such a remarkable talent for writing the most relaxing, precious, meaningful, and yet seemingly effortless and obvious songs. the majority of his music has an irresistible, comfortable and satisfied sound to it. i just can't get enough of it. i absolutely adore him!
