In Australian now, the trend is shifting. Women aspire to be middle class soccer moms and who could blame them? Husband works 60 plus hours a week to earns a good income while she drives the kids to school in the 4x4 before meeting the girls at tennis club and then going to the marina for a champagne lunch. The rest of my female cousin and aunts, got married, have at least 3 or 4 children and are housewives. They have to go to their husbands for every decision that relates to money. I have seen how much women love divorce. Not only do they love divorce but they think when they get divorced that they deserve to get everything they want. Since women are expected to work now as much as men we now have a huge supply of workers. Which means less demand and that everyone gets paid less and the price of products goes up. I don't know where Phyllis Schlafly gets her definitions but to me feminism is equal rights and equal opportunities for women and men, I doubt she would be opposed to that as it doesn't conflict with being married or even being a mother and a homemaker. I've always wondered why there is disdain for homemakers because wasn't the 2nd wave all about CHOICE? If a woman chooses to stay at home then more power to her! But I disagree with Schlafly on many things. I just don't think she's the devil.

As a woman, I totally consider myself a feminist.
I attended Dartmouth, but because I have a vagina, I should stay at home popping out kids, wasting my education and talents?
Without feminism men would still be expected to be the sole breadwinners, and the the pressure to be ultra masculine and to live up to the stereotypical roles of men, would still be clearly evident.
Men like to think that feminism has not positively affected them, but that is both ignorant and incorrect.

The rest of my female cousin and aunts, got married, have at least 3 or 4 children and are housewives. They have to go to their husbands for every decision that relates to money. Watching the way they live, made me never want to get married or even have children. I rather be successful in my career and be able to support myself.

I don't recommend continuing the act of preaching to men about what's best for them and how helping yourself helps them too, for that would make you a hypocrite. Mind you, I suspect Feminism 101 includes something about having highly malleable values and ideologies that change depending on the circumstance they're applied to, so perhaps you're just following the guidelines.

The fact of the matter is that in this day and age most women are assholes to men most of the time. Why? Because they are expected to step up and accomplish things. Not as much as men are but a little bit. And this is because women made it this way. If you have extreme emotional turmoil as a man and cry about it people you know will look down on you. As a woman you can have an emotional outbreak in public and people you have never met will come to console you. And people will genuinely worry about you. First, before you can make any blanket statements of ANY kind about feminism, you should probably define feminism. If you're talking about feminism in general, it is by definition a fight for gender equality. There is a huge difference between that and radical feminism, which is what I think most people are referring to.

It's funny how the feminists are the ones promoting Islamic Republics where Moslems regularly rape and beat their 8 year old wives and sex slaves.
Women probably should have all of their kids in their twenties because children born to mothers over thirty have much lower life expectancies than their counterparts born to mothers under thirty.
That doesn't mean they shouldn't have careers, but they should consider selling their eggs when young or using surrogates when their old.
